Pretty Birds, LLC
425 Grant Ave, PittsburghPretty Birds is the ONLY place I will EVER go for bird grooming. I have 2 parrots, an African Grey and a Yellow Naped Amazon. "My birds bite," I said. And in response, Don handled them like they were old friends! No biting, he even shaved their beaks and they didn't even cry! Don has love and compassion for birds and their humans. I learned more from him than anyone in all my years of having parrots! Pretty Birds is a Bird Boarder. Be sure to make an appointment for your bird's grooming needs.

All God's Creatures
5121 Penn Ave, PittsburghBeen here several times. My cat is always such a matted mess because she refuses to let us cut/brush her. I can't say enough about the service we get from these guys. Thwy remember my cat from previous visits (probably because of the unforgettable matts and possibly my cats attitude lol), the pricing is affordable, and we are always treated very kindly. It also doesnt take very long.Scheduling ahead is important, they are a great grooming service, and because of that, have lots of customers/appointments.Thank you guys again, for making Kitty so clean and comfortable. Shes getting old, and I know its becoming harder and harder for her to clean herself, let alone get around when shes all knotted up. 5 stars, A+++, highly recommend ??She is so happy!!!

Keeta’s Pet Salon
2627 Murray Ave, PittsburghMy cat accidentally knocked over a candle and stepped in hot wax (I felt terrible!!). I told Elle he should probably get his hind leg shaved and she told me if it were her cat, she would recommend just bathing and only shaving if it were medically necessary. I very much appreciated her knowledge and professionalism in knowing how to help my kitty. She got all the candle wax off and was patient with my grumpy boy (he does not like baths!) and recommended what brush I should use in the future as well as noticing he did have a bit of a burn on his hind leg (again, #CatMomFail). Her attention to detail and care of my cat is why I'll be bringing him back in the future!

Lawrenceville Veterinary Clinic
5500 Butler St Unit D, PittsburghI couldn’t be happier with our experience here! I have a 9 year old Shih Tzu and Dr. Mansfield was so thorough in going over her medical history and things to look out for in the future. The staff were kind and incredibly prompt which I appreciate so much, and the space was clean which I imagine is hard to keep up with at a vet clinic. Due to moving around a bit, my dog has been to three different vets in the Pittsburgh area and while they’ve all provided great care, I was most impressed by the care, staff, and provider at Lawrenceville Vet Clinic.

Two Dads and a Dog
Shoreham St, PittsburghWe are having a terrific experience with Michael as he trains us and our young mixed-breed, Moxie, how to not lunge and bark at passing vehicles, bikes, runners, etc. We (my husband and I) have had a consultation and 3 lessons with Michael and Moxie. His instructions are clear, positive, and even fun for all of us. We are seeing great progress. But I will emphasize that it’s not just up to Michael and Moxie to make the behavior changes we want to see. We are putting in time and effort practicing with Moxie between sessions with Michael. If you have the time and willingness to do this, I think you’ll get great results from 2 Dads and a Dog!

Pawsitive K9 Behavior School
560 McNeilly Rd, PittsburghI cannot say enough positive things about Pawsitive K9! We have had a truly amazing experience working with Maureen, Bridget and Luke. We enrolled our GSD puppy, Zuzu, in their puppy preschool to give her a solid foundation of obedience, neutrality and socialization before she reached adolescence. They've made training so easy for us - they teach and reinforce new skills in her training days, then provide me with detailed email recaps/instructions and videos to show me how to reinforce her new skills at home in-between lessons. They are super responsive, knowledgable and create a safe space where I know I can ask them anything, any time. Zuzu is now the MOST chill puppy I have ever met and I feel like I have the skillset as her dog-mom if we encounter anything in the future as she grows up or in new environments. I owe it all to Pawsitive K9!!! Thank you, Maureen, Bridget and Luke for everything!

5111 Doyle Rd, PittsburghI've been taking my dog to Chubby Puppy for several years now. She is a pit bull, & Chubby has helped her be socialized. She gets excited when I tell her we're going there. She goes twice a week. I've also had to take her everyday when my work schedule changed. They are very accommodating. Prices are reasonable. I've also taken her there for classes. My niece takes her 2 dogs there also. One of them is deaf with vision issues. They only take so many dogs each day. They have so many regulars. I've used other daycares & they are over crowded. I highly recommend them.

My Mom is not one to explore new cuisines, especially those that she feels will be to the Mexican side of food. After some coaxing, she finished her chicken avo sandwich and said "that was amazing!" The Mediterranean Table
2108 Murray Ave, PittsburghAlways happy when a new Mediterranean place opens up! Especially this place, which clearly serves high quality and fresh food. Definitely glad they opened. I got to try out their baklava, chicken Adana wrap, and garlic sauce. It was all very, very good and very, very fresh. The chicken Adana wrap was delicious. The chicken had a perfect texture, was well marinated, and well seasoned. Tons of vegetables. The garlic sauce on the side was also light, delicious, and flavorful. The actual wrap casing was a bit weak (easy to tear apart, not really crispy) but was alright still. I had originslly ordered their rice pudding, but on this day they were out, so I got to try the baklava instead. It was very tasty! Great portion, not too sweet, but still delicious. All in all, I would highly recommend this place. Everything tastes fresh and homemade, from the wraps to the desserts.

5872 Forbes Ave, PittsburghReally nice little shop. Prices are fair and selection is good. Decent selection of Chinese teas for gong fu but definitely caters more to flavored and herbal tea drinkers. The woman who runs the shop is very kind and has even replaced a broken gaiwan lid for me at no charge. At least 2 times I've gone I've been given samples to try out and that's a very nice gesture. One complaint is that parking is difficult on the street, but that is no fault to the shop.
