I am renting a storage unit from CubeSmart they are said to work with and give a 10% discount. Upon calling to get information, the person was unsure placed me on hold and then said they don't deal with CubeSmart because there aren't any in this area. There is literally one within 2 miles of this store not to mention one in Monroeville. I ended the call because obviously they don't know what they're doing. I'll stick with U-HAUL.

I had a couple of inquiry about my reservation. The representative professionally answered to all of my inquires and put a note on my reservation.It is located in tool rental at Home Depot. **During my pickup —-It was very smooth. Took about 15mins to get a key. Mileage was about 94000. Little bad smell/odor inside but was okay.

What a nightmare. We'd heard really great things about Penske's professionalism and quality, but our moving day was a mess bc of their online system. Apparently they had a computer glitch that over reserved, so there were no trucks available for us even though we booked weeks in advance. We had a very tight turnaround, the poor men at the store (who were so nice but in way over their heads) couldn't even get anyone on the phone to talk to us, and we were left to call every truck rental place in the area to find SOMETHING the last day of the month so I wasnt in violation of my lease, which I'm sure they would have made no reparations for if I received any apartment fees (they offered us nothing but an assurance it wouldn't happen again, as if we would ever let them put anyone we care about in this position in the future). When Penske did finally call us hours later, it was with a weak offer that maybe that evening or the next morning they might have something. Thank goodness we found a Uhaul across town and made it work, because Penske could not have been less useful or more mismanaged. I feel very bad for the employees trying to deal with this absolute mess, bc they were all very nice and understanding of our panic, but ultimately completely useless. When multiple people are taking off of work, carefully scheduling well in advance, and still getting screwed by you, someone should be doing something to at least try to make it right. No idea how they could possibly, but clearly they dont care to try. I cannot fathom how it is ok in anyone's mind to run a business renting trucks and then not actually have any when you assure people they will.

Cannot recommend less. We reserved our truck online weeks in advance to pick up at 8 AM. Get a call the day before our move that our truck will be late. Show up day-of and there are no trucks at all. They couldn't even get the District Manager on the phone to talk to us. It's the last day of the month, people took off work to help us, my landlord needs to flip the apartment, and the most we got is "sorry for the inconvenience, we might have one tomorrow morning". I feel so bad for the poor men at Home Depot taking the brunt of Penske's absolute mismanagement of this business - they were very kind, but this company totally screwed them and us and doesnt seem to care in the slightest. Look elsewhere, bc this place definitely doesnt care at all.

Totally unreliable. My daughter arranged a rental so she could move across town. She had to be out of her current place on 7/31 and can't get into her new place until 8/1. On 7/30, after having reserved weeks in advance, Penske tells her they MAY not have a truck until later in the day. Then on the day, there is NO TRUCK at all. Now she's stuck, looking at a penalty from her apt for not being out on time, and it's all Penske's fault. They can't be trusted. Stay away.

My experience with this company as a whole was a horrific nightmare!! When I made the reservation, I specifically told the gentleman I needed unlimited mileage, in which he understood and agreed to. However, after I've returned the truck, I was billed almost $500 more than I was originally quoted because they DID charge per mile, causing a huge blowout between my husband and I as well as stress on myself being 9 months pregnant. I will never rent through Penske again!!
