There's no shortage of restaurants in the South Hills that make good enchiladas, but the seafood enchiladas here are my hands-down favorite and blow everyone else's out of the water! Not only do they feature multiple types of seafood, but the queso and red sauces on top are incredibly good. My husband enjoyed his steak arepas as well.

We live a half mile from Pabellon so we've been there many times and have ordered from both the Mexican menu (good stuff) and the Venezuelan menu (amazing stuff). Arepas are terrific--*STUFFED* full--and crispy enough on the outside to hold up to the stuffings. My favorite is the Pabellon arepa, but I've also had the steak llanera. I'm also a fan of the Cheese Delight plate, which kind of makes you feel like you're sitting down to eat at a Venezuelan family table--homey and comforting. But my very favorite dish at Pabellon is the cachapa--a sweet(ish) corn cake encasing a big pile of tender, delicious shredded beef and salty melted cheese. It's big (takes up the whole plate on which it is served) and so satisfying. (My photo below is just the tail end of it. I ate most of it before it occurred to me to take a pic.) Pabellon isn't inexpensive, but the quality of the food is just terrific and portion sizes are generous. Skip the $9 chips and salsa starter and instead order the Venezuelan taquenos, which are well worth the nine bucks. Tres leches for dessert is a nice treat to share, though there's a churro place attached to Pabellon if that's more your thing. This is a really tasty little family run place, and you can dine in or take out. I prefer to dine in for the best quality arepas and more.

Excellent foods and services! Tried both vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus. Lots of options to choose from. Arepas and empanadas are to die for. Will definitely go back again! Highly recommended.

My youngest son chose to have his birthday dinner here. The staff was excellent, the food was delicious and the atmosphere is so fun! We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely evening.

The service was pretty good. The atmosphere is a step above a fast food place. I am still grappling with the dish I ordered. There was nothing cohesive about it. It was like 5 unrelated side dishes lined up on a plate. It tasted good for the most part but I felt how vegetarians must feel when the entrees are all meat and they scrape by on sides. I'd give them another chance but I'm in no rush.

I've been going here for a while, and they're definitely one of the best Mexican places in Pittsburgh. The ocean enchiladas (I think that's what they're called) are supremely exccelent, sublime even. Absolutely incredible. A medly of perfectly designed flavors. They also give you a lot of food. Like a lot a lot. I almost always have leftovers. And the atmosphere is stellar. Very nice seating, good bathrooms, I like the music, everything feels very chill. Excellent churros too. Allthough I'll be honest, sometimes their dishes are quite soggy. I'm alright with that I like soggy, but I can see how some would dislike this. Overall though, 10/10 would go again.

The best food ever. Not greasy. Very very tasty. Green sauce, served separately, gives a little kick. The flan is always good.

Very good food. Very good.Their arepas are truly amazing, and like the empanadas have a crispy shell with moist delicate interior stuffed with all manner of delicious choices.it is easy to distinguish all the fresh ingredients by taste and aroma. One of my favorite little gems i discovered here is their guasacaca, an authentic cold sauce made from blended avocado, bell pepper, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro and a few secret spices and olive oil. It goes especially good with meat, but i even like dipping my chips in it.All made to order, top notch ingredients, excellent service and simple but spotlessly clean atmosphere at very reasonable prices for the level of quality we get every time we visit. What's not to like?

This is my go to place to take visitors to lunch.First of all, this is a family owned business and their specialty is not Mexican, although the Mexican food is excellent. Their specialty is Venezuelan cuisine and everything on the menu is delicious. The family that owns it makes you feel like family when you come in, do yourself a favor and stop by.

This is a hidden gem! Fantastic Venezuelan food, especially their signature Pabellon arepa. They also have a full Mexican menu.
