The population size of jewish community in the heart of a major jewish district, it is extremely lack luster, small and hardly a selection or variety. Better off going to Costco or order online

Was skeptical about shopping here given other reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Cleaner than giant eagle and Trader Joe’s, great customer service, and a huge variety of items to choose from. Highly recommend!

Without even shopping here, you can bet I never will. Price gouging is a terrible practice. Herr's Restaurant Style Tortilla Chips 12oz. The price everywhere = $3.88. Murray Avenue Kosher price = $5.59. I don't believe anything is worth a 36.11% mark up. Greed is a bad thing.

Being the only kosher grocery in the area, MAK aims to please their customers. They recently expanded the store and added much more variety to accommodate the growing community. Their meat and dairy products are always fresh, as well as their bakery goods, and if they don’t have what you’re looking for they will do their best to order it. Pesach time is especially well stocked for those who follow different customs. Last and far from least, the kosher wine selection is expansive and reasonably priced. I have to say that the staff is always helpful and cheery. Glad that MAK is a part of the Pittsburgh community.

Murray Ave Kosher helped cater after we had a funeral for my grandma. We placed our order on Monday and they delivered it on time on Tuesday - acting quickly. They knew exactly what we needed and helped provide everything we needed to make it a one stop shop. They provided the food, plates / napkins / silverware / etc., drinks. They were extremely helpful during this difficult time and all the food was very well done. Would absolutely use them 10/10 times.

Good selection. Nice folks. One of the few times I didn't feel different for being Jewish.

I've had mixed feelings about MAK and the cleanliness and freshness but now with the health department order I'm really disappointed and scared to shop here. They need to empty the store and completely redo every inch and let there be absolute transparency in how things are run and kept before they can get me back as a customer. I'll be stocking up out of town on many of my kosher needs now.

Great hours. Staff is always friendly, they greet me when I enter and leave. They have all the kosher meats and other products, no need to look for a kosher symbol!

It is the only place in Pittsburgh that sells kosher groceries and is even limited. I wish they had more items. You can get so much more in New York or even in Cleveland. But here in Pittsburgh, it is very limited.
