Samm and the crew (Bobby, Shane, Darwin, John, Kyle, James, Shamas, JB, Nick, Dashawn’s, Jordan and Blaze) of 12 guys were fantastic! They were all polite and worked hard. Sam really went the extra mile - always asking where things should
go, making sure the furniture was arranged in the way we wanted it, letting us know when they found something broken (all of the items he alerted us to had been damaged prior to the move). Moving is stressful; Samm and his team helped alleviate that stress with their “can do” attitudes and Samm’s independent and strategic thinking. We are very thankful that we had such helpful partners in our move!

I have used this service for 3 moves now but I was nervous to do this last one because the previous move with them they had a very unhappy employee that mishandled two pieces of my furniture, one of which is the crown jewel of my possessions. But after discussing this with Lisa at Moving Ahead, she talked to their General Manager (Jerome) and he asserted that he would personally be on-site to make sure the move went smoothly and that that particular piece of furniture would be handled in the most careful way and it was. This last move was executed so well, I was SO pleased and the team they sent (Bobby, Sam & Shane) was exceptional. They were polite, friendly, listened well, even made changes to where they put the furniture after I changed my mind a couple of times. I got no pushback on anything and they were great about covering the new carpets and just treating me and my possessions with respect. I will always use them now as they have proven to me with this move that they care about their customers and do want them to be happy! Well done!

Brandon and John were amazing!! Several obstacles trying to get the desk where it was needed and they handled it so well. Got the job done and I couldn’t be happier. Very professional and courteous. Great company — impressed with the moving team here in Pittsburgh — John was professional and kept me up to date with arrival times and eta. Turns out we know his family well, small world! Will definitely use them again…

I scheduled last minute for my office move out of necessity and the reviews don’t lie. This company is fantastic all around. The scheduler was kind, and helpful. And my team was absolutely fantastic! John and Deshawn were the A team! They were on it from they moment that they arrived, and were professional, careful, and thorough. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a mover.

We had three young gentlemen out to our place today to pack stuff up for the move tomorrow, All three of them were very professional and courteous they worked their butts off getting our stuff packed up, and then they'll be back tomorrow to move all of our stuff to our new residence. Update... They came back out the second day to move our stuff and two of the young gentlemen were different One was one of the same ones that came out for packing and once again they were all very professional they did a great job and very efficiently moved all of our stuff to our new residence.

Our experience with Moving Ahead Services was excellent. They were great at communicating and very reliable. I booked them to move my Mother into an independent living apartment. My family is extremely picky and we were all very happy with service we received. Highly recommend.

I was really looking forward to a good experience with Moving Ahead Services after seeing all of the positive reviews as I was moving at 9 months pregnant, but the experience was lackluster. 3 movers arrived on time when I agreed to 2 and I thought that meant it’d be a shorter move than estimated. Unfortunately, the extra mover was awful and did a good bit of damage to walls, ceilings, floors, and furniture because he was careless. Most things the singular gentleman moved were forced through doorways and drug across the floors and outside all while complaining that he wasn’t supposed to be there and just wanted to get his paycheck and be done. His moving went so much as to irreparably damage my dresser, desk, and file cabinet that were assessed at less than the $0.60/lbs because it was “appearance” damage. I even had upholstered furniture with grass stains. Who enjoys owning now ruined appearance furniture that they can’t replace or fix?
In addition to the issues with the employee’s carelessness with my furniture, nothing was wrapped or blanketed except for my china case and they left all of the bolts to put the bunk bed back together at the old house. I didn’t want to pay for more of their time to retrieve them as I was already frustrated with how my items had been treated thus far and just wanted them to leave. So, my husband had to assemble the bunk beds that night and wash them as they were filthy from being unprotected in the moving truck. The driver of the truck was apologetic and frustrated as well about the other gentleman but it was too late for my furniture.

Absolutely phenomenal and professional work all around, from top to bottom, from the initial quote until the time they left. The guys on my job deserve every dollar and more. They were incredibly patient, cordial, and communicative throughout the entire process. They couldn't have made the moving process easier.
