I needed a condom catheter. I called and they had them. He explained to me what to do and sizing. He is very nice and very caring and it was only a $3.50 purchase. I did not ask his name I wish I had. 3-26-24 was the date of purchase.

I purchased my stairlift from McArdle and could not be happier. Had one problem with it and they were here the day I called at no charge. The second time I called Dan talked me thru the repair. 5 STARS IN MY BOOK

Shopped around. Dan came out and was so genuine and honest. We had a service issue with a faulty wire and Dan was out within 24 hours. Highly recommend.

Excellent service from McArdle Surgical!! Dan came over and installed a stair lift for my parents and then very patiently and kindly explained the use of the lift to them. His installation was professional and efficient. Thank you Dan from the whole family!!

I went in today with My husband who needed a Cain after knee replacement! We said hello the woman said nothing. I thought she just didn’t hear us. Then I asked if the adjustable canes are best because he is so tall! In a rude tone “it’s up to you”.

I went to Mcardle's for a wheelchair. I had just broken my leg. The woman behind the counter wad So rude and not the least bit helpful. She made me hop across the parking lot. When my husband asked if we could use the wheelchair we were going to buy anyway.just to get in the store,She said no.She didn't even help us by opening the door.Then to top off this TERRIBLE customer service the big man that was behind the counter didn't offer to help us out the door . I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.I AM SORRY I MADE THE PURCHASES THAT I DID THERE.

My father-in-law's Acorn stair lift conked out on him the Friday before the New Year's holiday. It was impossible to find anyone that could help with a repair. Acorn has a 24 hour service hotline, but couldn't send anyone out for 5 days! I luckily got in touch with McArdle on Saturday morning. Dan was extremely helpful over the phone and attempted to talk me through some troubleshooting steps to see if we could get the chair working before needing a service call. When we couldn't get the chair working, Dan agreed to fit my father-in-law in on Monday morning. Note, my father-in-law's house is somewhat outside of the range of operations for McArdle and thus Dan had to leave extra time in order to get to the house. Monday morning came and McArdle showed up ON TIME. They diagnosed the problem with the lift and fixed the problem. McCardle was professional, honest about the charges, and reliable. I and my family are extremely appreciative that they were able to help Dad as he was literally stranded on the first floor of his home. Also, McArdle was the only business that I was able to find in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area that was willing to answer the phone on a Saturday.

This place redefined the term jagoff. Ya go in with a simple question and are met by a crass old witch who doesn't give a crap. Not sure if other options for these items in Pittsburgh. Use Amazon or make what you need by hand before walking into this place of anger.

After looking online and in Walmart at folding canes, I brought my Mom to McArdle to try one. The gentleman who waited on us was extremely helpful, taught my Mom how to properly use the cane, and he answered my questions. Huge help!

My grandmother has two stair lifts in her home, one of which malfunctioned. Other companies wouldn't even bother to come look at her lift, but a service technician, Dan, came through for her and had her chair up and running in about a day (would have been sooner, but he had to hunt down the right battery for the chair). She is very happy to have her chair back!

I feel badly for the customers who had a bad experience with McArdle Surgical, but I just had to add my two cents. Last year I went to another supply store for compression hose. The young woman measured me and said I could have stockings that had a max measurement very close to my leg size -- they were torture. I would have had to order a larger size so I was told 'they should work'. Well, I went to McArdle's for a new pair and was pleasantly shocked -- not only by the huge stock of compression hose but many other items. The gentleman who helped me knew an amazing amount of medical information about leg edema, how the stockings work and how they were invented. He measured me, had the correct size in stock and took time to teach me the correct way to put them on. Got to give credit where it's due!
