I recently had a deeply unsatisfactory experience at Giant Eagle that has left me feeling frustrated and let down by their customer service. I purchased a money order from Giant Eagle, and unfortunately, I had to return it for personal reasons. Armed with my receipt and expecting a straightforward process, I was shocked when the store refused to accept the return. The lack of consistency and understanding in Giant Eagle's return policy is beyond disappointing. As a loyal customer, I assumed that returning a money order purchased from the same store would be a hassle-free procedure, especially when armed with a receipt. However, the staff at Giant Eagle were uncooperative and unwilling to assist me. The fact that Giant Eagle, a store that prides itself on customer satisfaction, refused to accept the return of their own product raises serious concerns about their commitment to customer service. The inconvenience and frustration caused by this incident have left me questioning whether I can trust Giant Eagle for future transactions. Moreover, the unhelpful attitude of the staff during this ordeal only added to my disappointment. A company of Giant Eagle's stature should prioritize customer satisfaction and demonstrate flexibility in resolving issues. Unfortunately, my experience suggests otherwise. I would caution potential customers to think twice before engaging in financial transactions, especially involving money orders, at Giant Eagle. The lack of a reasonable return policy and the uncooperative attitude of the staff have tarnished my perception of the store's commitment to customer service, and I am left with a negative impression that will undoubtedly influence my future shopping decisions.

Very nice manager and customer service person. Lines were long but everyone was nice. Express line was a little slow tho.

Being slightly larger than my regular grocery store, there was more variety of products, which is the reason I visited. I am almost always very pleased with the staff at every giant eagle. This one is no exception.

Love this market district, great selection and friendly employees. The Starbucks inside is nice, wish they still had the bank branch.

Waterworks Mall Giant Eagle has EVERYTHING I normally buy and then some.frozen blitzes which are difficult to find n ORANGE ROUGHY FISH also not in every store CASHIERE STEPH IS THE SWEETEST N MOST HELPFUL EMPLOYEE N I JUST STARTED BUYING A FEW OF THOSEYUMMYBAKED GOODS THEY HAVE IT ALL AND THE WORKER THERE MIDDLE AGED BLACK MAN CAREFULLY PACKAGES MY SWEETS SO THEY DONT GET SQUISHED ON TRIP HOME THESE TWO EMPLOYEES ARE THE BEST

My mist favorite Giant Eagle! The food here is expensive but has Trader Joe vibes. It's fresh, the store is clean, and the customer service is great. I love the cooked meals and Cafe! Forget going to a restaurant nearby. Giant Eagle has great pizza, salads, burgers, chicken, and more to order. There is also seating next to their own Starbucks to enjoy your mto meal.

This used to be the grocer to go to. My kids could get a free piece of fruit while we shopped. I love the coupon book, though I wish you could somehow redeem them for delivery. The delivery is a longer wait than most. They had the good vegan options but now pretty much everyone does and they are just the most expensive, even with the specific coupon book.

I have mixed feelings about this store. I feel like it is trying hard to be a copy of Whole Foods, but failing miserably. The customer service is very distinctive between these 2 businesses. While this review isn't about Whole Foods, it would be wrong to consider the differences. When you ask for help, as I often do, the people at Whole Foods jump to attention and immediately assist in locating what you request. At Market District, they rarely help, shifting you to a different associate and passing the buck. I will admit that Market District has some unique features beyond the typical grocery. Their cheese section is very well done, and those employees are well informed. I feel like other parts of the store could benefit from the same attention to detail. The breads and bakery section seems to be a hit or miss proposition. You can find certain items there one day that are gone the next. It is as though they have no set pattern of baking and just make what they feel, so you could get good salt sticks one day and find none available the next day. The prepared foods can be a nightmare. I looked for a posted special and could only locate 2 of the necessary 5 items to complete their meal deal. I asked for help and waited while someone went to find someone else to answer my questions. When the right person finally arrived, they began pulling the meal deal special signs down. I'm not really interested in businesses that operate this way. If I'm in the area, I might stop in for some items. I will not go out of my way to shop here. There are far better and cheaper options available. In addition, Giant Eagle in general seems to enjoy playing bait and switch with customers. One card covers every one of their operations, but there is no cross promotions. You get different prices at GetGo, Giant Eagle, Giant Eagle Express and Giant Eagle Market District. They are all owned and operated under a single banner, but choose different pricing and specials for each location. Buyer beware.

Lol all these fake reviews. STORE IS DIRTY. Also super pricey even by giant eagle & market district standards. Smelled like old people & urine the day I was there. The floors across the whole store were slick. Why this was I don’t know nor do I want to know. Nasty just like the Walmart that used to be over there that had to close due to all the theft. Judging by the experience there this one will probably go a similar route.

Had bad customer service experience there. I know the prices are higher but to treat customers that way is a shame. Aldi, Walmart, Sam's Club are all better options.
