The people who work there are great and what you see in pictures is great but that's about it.My heat didn't work when I moved in.(Took several days to fix which is illegal in winter)My mailbox didn't lock when I moved in.My controller for the blinds didn't work when I moved in and took months to fix.The stairways and trash rooms are impressively dirty. Rat traps on most floors.They charge you to paint after leaving automatically before even doing an inspection and proving damage. which is also illegal.I never got a list of deductions from security deposit, just a check for whatever is left. I'll give you a hint, it's illegal.My old apartment was listed for a lower price than they were offering me to re-sign days after moving out.Gym is almost never cleaned. Got ringworm from using it more than once despite cleaning before and after use.There is no ventilation in the rooms despite having gas stoves and being small studio rooms. Plus no screens in the windows.

Management, the receptionists, maintenance, EVS and everyone else who works here are all fantastic. Nothing but good things to say about the amenities as well as the other residents… everyone is super nice and it’s a very inclusive building. Would highly recommend.

Nice building with helpful and professional staff (Jo in maintenance, James, Quinn, & Jake in the front office). Really everyone here has been great, but I'm still learning all the names. Also the gym is miles better than any apartment gym I have ever seen.

I was there weekend stopped in for a visit to check the place out, well the building wasn’t particularly clean kinda had a certain smell to it definitely needs to be kept up. I don’t think I will move in here. I’m Looking at other apartments in the apartment that fit my style and taste better

The building has massive issues . Rats in peoples apartments. Matience never responds. Windows that leak . This is a new management company do not be fooled by them . This building will always be a disaster.If there are positive reviews it’s only because a contest was going on to see what employee could win a prize . Read the reviews and the history of this place . You won’t want to live here .

Very disappointed. Very cold apartment in the winter was given a space heater that did not fix it . Plumbing issues and was told to hire and pay for my own Plumber ….Dust flying around in the apartment for months still not fixed . Management never responds : Maintenance will not get work orders done fast . Just received my rent renewal which is a $200 a month increase even though they are fully aware of my issues.Look elsewhere to move .Also Ryan who is brand new is unprofessional. Hangs up on residents and should not be in a customer service .This is a photo of the dust all over my piano daily from the apartment

unfortunately nothing gets done here .dust flying around in the apartment for months not fixed .cold water in bathroom sink was told to pay for my own plumber to fix it management and matience never reach out :was just given a $200 a month lease increase even though they know about the issuesI would lookelsewhere to movehere is a photo of all the dust on piano daily

Moved here almost 2 years ago now and James Gales who works at the front desk single handedly makes my morning 100x better every day. He always says good morning and is full of positivity. He really has become like family! There are other super sweet people who work at the front desk too that give our dogs treats when we come back in after walks .Wish our windows would get cleaned on the outside, but other than that I really don’t have many complaints. The new leasing company who took over has been wonderful so far and I can tell they’re really trying to make improvements! PS the website says the gym is open 24/7 but it’s not which is understandable. It closes at 11pm

I have known James at the front desk since I came here three yrs. ago. James has been the most professional and accommodating parson in the building! He is very welcoming and friendly to all that pass his way, I look forward to seeing his smiling face every morning! Retaining James through all the changes in this building has been the least disturbance and consistent aspect one could ask for!! His being here for all the tenants is a great asset to the Kaufman building!!

I’ve lived here for about 2 years now and we actually just got a new management team and they are AWESOME. very understanding, and even let me extend my lease only by a couple weeks. They upgraded security so no one is allowed into the building without being on the visitors list which is AWESOME!!! I love james and quinn! They both are the most lovely people to see in the morning and afternoon!!<3. The maintenance crew that this new management has hired has been AMAZING. they answer my requests within 24 hours usually and won’t enter my apartment unless i let them!:) sad to be leaving soon but so happy this building has some new people who genuinely care for it?

All of the front desk attendants, Resident Ambassadors in Kaufman-speak, are excellent, but James and Quinn stand above. Every resident’s day is made better when either is working. It’s a shame the rest of the resident experience doesn’t measure up to the bar they set.

Almost lived in Kaufmann for a year and it’s been a overall great experience! Even throughout a change in management, James has always made me feel comfortable at home and is always such a positive influence to my daily love and the newest members are extremely kind!

Pros of this building: Engineering and concierge staff, and the ladies at the leasing office.Engineering crew, especially Brent, are very helpful and courteous. They are always available and fullfill any repair orders needed in the apartments asap.The front desk staff: James, Quinn, Sean and Rico are nice, friendly and extremely helpful. They have helped make the lobby a place that one can get work done and study as well as relax.The biggest con for the building is the garage entrance and never ending repairs.

James is the best. Always willing to help and such a pleasant person to come home to everyday. Best concierge this apartment building has probably ever had!
