I've been here many times but most recently was to see the cinematic masterpiece "A Muppet Christmas Carol" set to a live symphony. This venue is stunning! There is ample parking all around. The space is gorgeous and immaculate. The staff are so friendly and helpful

We went for Handel's Messiah the place was decorated for Christmas and was very beautiful. The hall is very impressive and a wonderful venue for the huge chour singing and the Pittsburgh symphony playing. It was more than wonderful it became magic, God's spirit was present. Don't miss an opportunity to see this concert should it return again. It left an impression on me that will last a lifetime.

Heinz Hall is a superb venue. It's absolutely gorgeous and they keep it up really nice. It's a reminder of simpler days with opulent decorations. Every year, we love coming to the holiday pops and any other special events that sound great. We have been coming since Marvin Hamlish was leading the symphony. The symphony is world class and always sounds amazing. The Mendelssohn Choir always puts on a great show too. We also love the guest singers and guest conductors. It was also nice to see the talented members of the Pittsburgh Ballet. Everyone was so talented. Santa always makes it special for the kids. The song a long is our favorite part. The concert puts us in the holiday spirit. We love seeing what who is appearing every season. It's always a fun night out. Everyone at the theater is always very friendly and helpful.

I'll start with the beautiful building and the architecture that is amazing, in my opinion. When actually taking the time to look around at all the features from the flooring to the intricate detailing on the walls, woodwork, and ceilings, it is truly something to be appreciated. As far as the symphony goes, it was amazing and very well done. My one complaint would be that people continued to enter the show 20 minutes past the start, which was quite disruptive, in my opinion. Obviously, we had to stand up and move to allow others to get to their seats to sit down, people were standing up in front of us hindering our view, flashlights were being pointed around to find the seat numbers, there was talking as they were entering and looking around etc. I feel that you should know to get there early to find your seat and out of respect for others who want to enjoy the show uninterrupted you plan accordingly. I would have expected that perhaps a 5 minute buffer was acceptable, but by the time it was 7:20, I was actually a bit annoyed that people were still coming in, to be honest. Other than that, this was an awesome experience watching one of my all-time favorite movies along with listening to a live performance of the symphony playing the music. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who loves music and movies as it was unique.

Everything about the experience was wonderful. Perfect acoustical venue, great views from the seats, and a side courtyard with a fountain. Eady parking. And the orchestra hit its stride immediately, with a resounding interpretation of the classics. Perfect Sunday afternoon

Everyone needs to patronize the arts at least once per year, and this has to be one of the premier venues to do it in the city. The place is gorgeous, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the drinks are... Well, expensive, but not unexpectedly solo, and there's a few places to get served so the line is never long. The courtyard is also maybe one of the nicest looking gardens in the downtown space, and I really appreciate its blend of natural scenery, man-made sculptures, and skyscraper surroundings.

Go to pso website. Search events calendar. Click and buy tickets on balcony. You can pay more to sit on the near stage, but only do that if you love the show, all of the music here sounds amazing, sumphony is BERY VERY harmonic. After six shows, I prefer the higher up you are the more than music compounds as it rises to the balcony. They have very affordable shows called disrupt. There are two more this season. Grab tickets go early by drinks. Socialize, dress is pretty good. Nobody looks disrespectful and some people dress up like it’s their prom. Great variety.*Nick Offerman was awful can’t get our money back (or his cursive language out of our heads.). So many open seats around us because people left. ??Wish they did more collabs between rockstars and symphony. Such a beautiful way to communicate the talents and skills of symphony with newer and larger audiences.

Heinz Hall is a beautiful venue. I went to a combo performance of the Pittsburgh Ballet and Pittsburgh Symphony. I remember back in high school going with my mother and a famous actress that was in the musical we went to see said in an interview article that she liked performing at the Heinz Hall as she compared it to a jewel box. All the staircases reminds me of the Hogwarts Castle from Harry Potter. The outdoor terrace is a fun place to sit and relax at intermission or before the performance begins. The interior could probably use a little freshening up but it is still very nice. The acoustics are excellent. For those that like a cocktail there are plenty of bars. Pittsburgh should be very proud of this unique venue. The ceiling alone is mesmerizing.

Beautiful concert hall in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. Plenty of chandeliers and architectural features here. Seats all have excellent sight lines. Even the outside courtyard is nice. Porters and ushers are knowledgeable about the building and it’s history. A great venue for music and theatre.

A beautiful, classically designed music hall that houses the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra that plays 20 or more shows a year, and the PSOs Pop Symphony that plays another 15-20 shows geared toward the mainstream listening audience. The hall seats a few thousand, and all seats are good thanks to both proximity, and tremendous acoustics. In addition, the cities best chandeliers exist here and are worth seeing without a concert.

Photographed a proposal at Heinz Hall, and it was absolutely stunning! Definitely one of the most luxurious Pittsburgh venues to get engaged!

Beautiful concert hall and wonderful concert experience. The venue is very comfortable and spacious. The pre-concert educational talks were a great introduction featuring the principal trumpet and viola. Definitely considering a partial season subscription.

The concert hall itself is very beautiful with an intricately designed interior. The sound system is very well engineered - you’ll get great sound from any seat in the audience. Also, I have had several chances to perform onstage and the experience is amazing.

This review is specific to Bolero on June 11, 2023It is billed as Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre - Bolero - WITH the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra...make no mistake....Bolero is SYMPHONY with ONE dance at the end of the performance.I bought tickets for my family to see the BALLET...2 hours of symphony (which was wonderful but....) and literally a 5 MINUTE dance and show was over.Anyone going to Bolero thinking it is a ballet will be disappointed.Side Tip - prepay for parking with ticket purchase since the Arts Festival and Construction make that part of town rather messy.
