We moved to great beginnings when my oldest was 9 months old on a coworkers recommendation. We had previously been at a chain daycare and had a VERY bad experience. I appreciate the small classroom sizes reducing sicknesses and really targeting development. The pre-k kids come out very prepared for school which I appreciate. Just this morning I was shown the sign language alphabet. Lastly my son had a medical emergency at school one day and I they handled it perfectly. The staff there are incredible.

Our children love it here, and the staff and administration are absolutely wonderful. It is a wonderful community with awesome families.

Our family loves Great Beginnings. My oldest started around 18 months old and now our youngest started at 3 months. The teachers are very welcoming and it’s clear they truly care for the children. It really feels like a family. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend GB to any family looking for child care that provides peace of mind.

By far the greatest daycare in pittsburgh, we been here for the past 6 years, all 6 of our children currently go here. From ages 6 months to 11 years old.They have great staff, they are respectful, loving people, and your children receive the attention that every parent hopes for when leaving their child at a day care. Great beginnings is one of the best choices we’ve ever made, hands down!

Best Child Care in the Burgh... 30 yrs and an excellent reputation. Gentle and Kind ppl take care of the Children. It's a beacon in the Swissvale community. The programming is second to none. A beautiful place with professional caregivers.

So rude, unprofessional, they lied about the care that was given. Refused to change diapers; which would lead to terrible diaper rash. Came off aggressive and will discriminate against any child that may require a little extra attention. I don't understand how someone that would treat little children so awful, would want to own a datcare. Please, do not send your child here! Any place I'd better than this.

I can't speak for how well their childcare is conducted, but if it is anything like my interactions with the staff, then I wouldn't expect much good. Specifically, when I was speaking with Peggy about the waitlist, she was rude and unprofessional, even saying that "there's no way [my] child will ever be coming here". Maybe she was having a bad day, but since it looks like other reviews are similar, it looks like this behavior is the norm, not the exception.I wouldn't want my daughter attending a daycare where the staff's tantrums are worse than the kids'.

Great place to send your little ones! I send both my children here. The staff is full of caring and loving individuals!! My children learn so much here it is amazing!

What a terrible place. This place does not give children the care they need. They discriminate against certain children and does not provide the help that a child needs. I would never send a child here again!!
