When I lived in Pittsburgh for 8 yrs. Once, their head of security threatened me in front of my neighborhood shoppers in Greenfield when a customer service worker lied about an incident she created. He gave me a formal apology. In 2020, I a senior citizen fell in front of the same store that had something slippery on the concrete. I reported it and no one contacted me. I still have residual pain. Definitely the worst store anywhere!

Overpriced and unfriendly! I rarely go into the store, only if I can't find a specific item elsewhere except for WalMart. I avoid that store too.

I went to check out with one lane open and no cashier. I shrugged my shoulders and employee came over and started mocking me and giggling. Needless to say I left and won't be back. They should just close this store, obviously don't care.

they refused to use my own advantage card and they used theirs instead, and also I am not sure if it was an advantage card that she used or something else, it was really rude and humiliating.

The prepared food section. Looking and tasting good. I got the fish dinner two sides $7.99 Mac n cheese and brussel sprouts. Yes brussel sprouts!! All good ?!

It's amazing. In all these years nothing has been done about this neighborhood grocery store with a Bad Attitude. My usual response to this store is to; get through the front door, only to turn and leave. I travel another 4.5 miles to shop elsewhere. I've had 7 register discrepancies in 2021, so far. The latest being over charged by $8.82. It's the only one I collected on due to the fact that I don't want to go in there and possibly ruffle any feathers. I'll drive to Kuhn's....No problem! Most recently I had an exchange to make. The customer service person did the math in her head, and came up with a $2 balance due to the store. I did the simple math and came up with Giant Eagle owing me some change. I called her on her math discrepancy and she got pissy. Said "yea", gave me the $2, then gave me her back. I feel like she was scamming me for 2 bucks and pocketing it. I also feel like this isn't the first time she has used her math skills on customers. She was really smooth about it. Check your register tapes for discrepancies and then watch how your issue is handled. All I ask is that you PAY ATTENTION. THIS STORE IS IN A CHALLENGING NEIGHBORHOOD, HAS A HARD TIME KEEPING EMPLOYEES, HAS A BAD ATTITUDE IF YOU ARE NOT FROM THE "HOOD", AND WILL TRY TO INTIMIDATE YOU. HOLD FAST AND ASK FOR MANAGEMENT. I refuse to let them keep any extra funds they are swindling out of me. Broccoli at $4.99 a small head. I WAS CHARGED FOR 2. THAT'S A $10 Broccoli purchase. Maybe the fact that it's mainly a "food stamp or ebt store" has something to do with it, I don't know or care. Just Watch Your Bottom Line....

Generally I am a fan of Giant Eagle. I certainly am glad there is one close to where we are staying. That being said, there are many "sketchy" people around, probably because of the first bus stop after the underpass going from downtown is at the end of the parking lot. Now we have NOT been harassed. I didn't feel afraid. The store is clean but is smaller and didn't have all the choices I was looking for. But it still a full service, reasonably priced store IN the neighborhood. Checkout is friendly. I AM glad there is a Giant Eagle close by. There is a gas station, Sunoco, in front of it.

It's in a bad neighborhood to say the least it's got on duty police officers to go with the loss and prevention team I believe they have just as many security working as they do people bagging and working the register.

Manager is is incompetent on a level I haven't seen before. Not a single express register was open and people who had a handful of items had to wait in a long line along with the people with carts full of food. I gave up. Fire the manager.
