I always have great experiences here. Dr DiCuccio is prompt for appointments and he is very easy to talk to and really goes out of his way to explain things in a way that is easy to understand.

I'm a retired recent transplant from CA. Gotta love the people of Pittsburgh!! 8 months in and love the area....offers so much. I'm cramming hard to learn to be a yinz!! Bein a medicare patient, no one will get rich off me. I needed a checkup and a script refilled. I was seen by CRNA Kelly Distelrath. She is a star!! Good bedside manner, very professional, and VERY thorough. The entire experience ran like a Swiss watch. I get regular text reminders re my appointment and each made clear the costs of no shows, so the complainer below is off base. I was seen 5 minutes after arriving. I was supposed to return yesterday for a TB test for a med, forgot it, and got a prompt call today reminding me to come in. My blood tests were disclosed to me with a phone call the day after my appointment. I will now be like gum on their shoes!!

Over-prevention on disease that is not always necessary, one of pcp doctor didn’t interpret throughly with imaging test result and says excuses like the results are voice recorded so the texts are not accurate matched (that is considered a disrespectful manner for imaging specialist and my expectations on clear response — no doubtful words like benign or other serious circumstances). The medical knowledge is so limited when I was referred to the specialist, she said that the condition is not alarming as my concerns. You should update medical knowledge regularly. Besides, long waiting time. Unacceptable and Unforgivable!

Rude woman on phone.Rude, condescending and dismissive. In my opinion you should not talk to people like that when they call you for help and it’s your job to give care.Ruined my day.

One of the most unprofessional practices I have ever dealt with. They were OK until I became diagnosed with an ailment that required a higher level of care. They decided that I was "too high maintenance" of a patient to treat. They honestly refused my calls for medical assistance for that sole reason. They then told me to go somewhere else entirely. Do not waste your time nor risk your health with this practice. They only care about profit, not your well being.

My husband Ben contracted the Covid Virus. He also has serious cardiac issues. I contacted Dr. Heyl and associates to ask them what I should do. I must admit I was panicking a little bit at the time because my husbands LVAD team at AGH had not responded to my calls. I would like to say thank you to the scheduling associate Marie (I may not have the name correct, sorry), for speaking to a PA in the office and getting back to me quickly with a resolution to my problem. She didn't have to do it but she went above and beyond to help. This office has always been exceptionally great! I can't thank them enough for all they do. Nancy Drozinski

The support staff are unpleasant and the care is from a provider-patient model rather than a client-centered model. They don’t listen to the client, they don’t take the time to validate concerns, and there’s no compassion. My experience today was met with a condescending provider who treated me like it was a privilege to receive her services. Will not be going back. And since I am also a health provider, I will definitely share my experiences with the community.

Everyone from Dr. Heyl, Henry, Rachel, and the receptionist were very nice and helpful. I didn't feel rushed, but I also was quickly seen. Very pleased with my first appointment at Heyl Family Practice.
