We're not from the area but I really wanted to check out a board game store while in Pittsburgh. My husband and I checked this place out and we found it so cool, clean and spacious. Great selection and liked the natural light and the social areas in the front instead of in the back like some other board game stores. Phil gave us the tour and recommended some drinks at the Dragon Roast Cafe. As an apple cider and cinnamon person, his recommendation was spot on. The barista, who I didn't get the name of (sorry!), was also cool and great with making sure we were 100% happy with our drinks. I only wish we had a space like this near where we live as we would definitely go all the time with friends and family. We will definitely return the next time we are in Pittsburgh!

Phil (owner) is the BEST! Such a nice guy! I personally havent bought any of the games there, but my friends and I hang out there alot and play games (for a whole day to rent a table its only 5$ a person - cant beat it!!). The coffee area adds such a cozy little touch.

The owner was very friendly! Prices were comparable to other game stores. We are not locals but still found this a pleasant place to shop. Highly recommend!

Game Masters is the perfect game store. Phil, the owner, is welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help you find exactly what you need. Tons of space to play your game of choice (brought from home, purchased in-store, or borrowed from the rental shelf.) with very affordable table fees ($5).
Dragon’s Roast Cafe inside has great quality handmade coffee and tea drinks, bottled beverages, and sweets and pastries. Can’t wait to stop back and grab an Oram’s donut on the weekend. With events almost every night of the week, you’re sure to find something to keep you busy and maybe even find a new gaming friend.

Phil (the owner) has consistently been investing in the business to make it a welcoming place to just...hang out and spend time playing games with people. The addition of the coffee shop and cafe in the "play area", combined with the massive expansion in selection of games you can check out, have changed the place from just "a great board game shop" to an actual board game cafe - something I've really wanted to see come to the area for a long time. Even though the store is a little out of the way for my friends and I compared to others that are more...basement oriented...we've started coming here instead. It's been totally worth the drive. Being able to grab Oram's donuts to bring home to my wife for the weekend while out for a Friday night magic draft has really made it a much better "sell" around the house :).

Game Masters is a well-run shop for table top and social gaming & they've recently added a coffee/espresso bar with danish and chocolates.
My jam is Blood on The Clocktower, a "social deception" game and it's preparing me for a political career.
If gaming is your bag, or you're wanting to buy a board game this should be on your short list. At number one!

Game Masters is honestly the best local game shop in the area, I always love going to their events or picking up a game at board game night! The staff are also super nice and helpful. They have tons of great recommendations and are generally very knowledgeable overall.

Phil's store is one of the best in the area if you're looking to pick up some tabletop games. He always has a large selection of titles available to choose from as well as a library of games that you can play at one of his many tables. I love going to the store to attend Magic the Gathering Pre Releases and the community there is second to none.

This is an absolutely amazing store. The owner Phil is such a fun guy to talk to and the store is beautiful. They have the best dice selection I've seen in the Pittsburgh area so far. Rick is an amazing host for Pokémon events too!!! I highly recommend making a trip here!!

Met Phil and had great conversation about his business and all the board games. He is an immense source of knowledge. If there’s a game you want, I would bet that he has at least one copy in stock. I look forward to participating in events at the store!

Stopped in for the first time today. Was greeted and given a tour by the owner who is incredibly nice! Large selection of games. Good deals/offers. Plenty of space to play and was told about many events. Given good recommendations! There is even a quiet area for individuals who may be overstimulated, which I thought was a great feature!
