Dress for Success has a great mission that is easy to get behind and support. They provide a necessary service for individuals re-entering the work force who need some clothes for interviews and to get them started on their new chapter of their lives. However, as a prospective donor they were a huge disappointment. I had a donation of about 30 pieces of clothing, what I would consider a pretty significant donation. I called and emailed them a number of times and no one returned my call. I finally reached out by email to the executive director, outlining my steps to try to set up a time for a donation and how no one ever returned my emails. I never heard from the Executive Director. My mother recently died and she had amassed a number of articles of clothing, all in like-new condition. Dozens of pants, jackets, blouses, etc. Plus lots of tasteful jewelry. I decided to give them a second chance and again emailed the person responsible for coordinating donations. Again, I heard nothing from them.I ended up donating them to another charity, who was not only able to do what I consider basic things like responding to voice mail or emails, but provided guidance regarding what items are needed and which they weren't in a position to accept.I hope Dress for Success takes a critical look at the process they have in place for collecting donations, because they do provide a valuable service.

Excellent program ! If you can donate , please do. It may not seem like a big deal to most . But it’s the first step to get a job. Ppl. Who are hired & work have a overall much much better life for themselves & their families. They have self esteem , pride & self worth. Don’t throw your old clothes away it’s the beginning of a new life for someone❤️

i'm very disappointed with dress for succes tara you are really disrespecful to the first lady theresa carroll. i made your agency when it was located downtown pittsburgh at the warner center. you give me a bag of garbage the only thing i kept was the hat and gloves. i gave the rest of the clothes to scared heart church for the homeless ,where anthony isaish trick was waiting for them. i don't like being used. the card that u attacted to the bag was the best thing that you gave me. i do not like my time beginning wasted.i guess you doble dipping to. you will reap what you sow dealing with the first lady theresa carroll independent.they act like they was going to help on phone and email, but inperson the flipped the strip.wasting my time.

I went to the Baum Blvd dress for success to get fitted for scrubs for a new job. Tasha was my helper and she was absolutely amazing. She helped me get the attire I need for work. I was even able to get some personal hygiene items, a beautiful purse and jewelry. The setting was relaxed, extremely comfortable and clean. I cant wait to participate in more events. I left with a free premium membership for LinkedIn as well. By far a huge blessing, I left out of there feeling like s new woman. Thank you so much.

Love how affordable, if I wanted to refresh my wardrobe. I don't have to spend tons of money to have a new wardrobe. Thank you Dress for Success.

GREAT organization! I just can't say enough about these ladies. I had changed jobs from a casual to a more formal one and was in dire need of dressy clothes. They helped me out with that and even included earrings, shoes, and beauty products. If you're going to donate to any organization, this is the one!
