Staff in the office were wonderful. Dental care was great...once you get a hold of anyone. First experience- I scheduled myself and my son, took off work and school, showed up for our first appointments and they didn't have us on the books. Second issue is not being able to get a hold of anyone at the office. I have called 10 times during business hours and have gotten through maybe twice. Billing is always messed up, unclear, or not properly put through insurance. Corporate is a mess. I had to call so many times because they billed insurance incorrectly. I was trying to get them to rebill insurance, and they said they'd get it fixed and call me back, but they sent my 10 yo son to collections instead. Steer clear.

I have been a patient at Dental Works for 20 years when they were inside of Sears. They used to be wonderful and so easy to get an appointment. Ever since the Dr. Lanke scandal, they've never been able to keep a dentist or hygienist. They've canceled this current 6 month cleaning appointment 5 times now. It was 3 cancelations I had to go through the last time to the point it was no longer in my advantage to stick with their Dental Care Advantage Club because they couldn't uphold appointments every 6 months so I was getting screwed out of a cleaning before renewing. But like a loyal customer, I still stayed and signed up for dental insurance that is accepted at dental works just to keep going. I have now lost wages on my end because I've taken 2 full days and 3 half days just to accommodate where and when they rescheduled me (the Cranberry location is 40 minutes from me) , just for them to cancel hours before! I am so unbelievably upset, dental health is so important and I'm a firm believer in regular cleanings! I refuse to walk around with furry teeth! I'll be searching for a new dentist as I have already made several complaints to Dental Works and the Brighten Group who supposedly represents them. They use a 3rd party call center so I'm sure all calls, cancelations, and rescheduled were recorded.

The office is dirty, the bathroom is dirty, the instruments were not clean. The staff seems frazzled; the receptionist did not know how to use the copier to copy my insurance card. I filled out the same paperwork both online and at the office. Must have just been a bad day; but I would not recommend and will never be returning.

I have a been a patient here for decades and I will be finding a new dental office. Everything has been inconsistent at this location for the last few years from the staffing to the scheduling to the billing. And now the hours of operation. I was also rescheduled 2 hours before my original appointment and when I showed up for the “new appointment”, I wasn’t on the schedule at all. Luckily, the 2 hygienists that were from another office jumped in to assist.I used to love this place. Now I do not trust that my teeth are in good hands.

I’ve been canceled on last minute three times now, with them pushing me out 1-2 months each time they cancel. Absolutely no care for the customers, calling less than 5 hours before the apt and won’t even try to make up for their inability to see me in a timely manner. Pushing out 2.5 months every time they cancel defeats the purpose.

I'm incredibly disappointed by my experience with DentalWorks Robinson Township. After moving to Pittsburgh, I made an appointment to resume my treatment plan from my previous dentist. My main concern is/was intense TMJ pain. At my first DentalWorks appointment, I requested a referral to a specialist; however the dentist instead referred me to their in-house orthodontist and scheduled a few fillings.Unfortunately, the orthodontist did not address my TMJ pain. When I arrived at the appointment for my fillings, I was told by the office manager that my wait would be longer due to short staffing. I waited about 45 minutes past my appointment time in the waiting area. After that, I was led back to a chair by a dental assistant, who prepped me for my fillings. I waited another 45 minutes with topical numbing gel in my mouth while the dental assistant and dentist were working on another patient who came in after I did.After an hour of waiting, I asked how long it would be until I was seen. The office manager said, "Didn't I tell you it would be a longer wait for you?" and I clarified that I didn't know that "longer" meant nearly two hours of waiting. After a while, the dentist began my fillings but LEFT midway through to see another patient. At this point, I began feeling anxious about the quality of care I was receiving and worried that my teeth were being harmed.When the dentist resumed the fillings, it took several attempts to get his attention to tell him that the novacaine was wearing off and that the spacer separating my teeth and gums was causing intense pain. I have a chip in my tooth now as a result of the spacer's placement during my treatment.When the appointment was over, I sat down with the office manager, who was very apologetic. She told me that they are very short-staffed and to not make an appointment in the next several months because they will have limited availability. I wholeheartedly recommend searching elsewhere for a dental provider.

I’ve been going to the Dental Works in Robinson for almost 2 years. The staff are always a pleasure to chat with. The hygienist’s and dentist’s have an A+ based on their expertise and quality of service!!!

I would give them 0 stars if possible. When I first became a patient here everything was fine for my first two cleaning. I then had another cleaning scheduled which I was called and told I needed to reschedule due to the office being closed. No big deal. I then reschedule and eventually schedule for a wisdom tooth removal to which I showed up to the appointment and find out the office was closed for the day and no one called to tell me or rescheduled. I then decided to have my cleaning which I asked about it and was told they weren’t doing appointments for that anymore because they didn’t have an orthodontist. They then have me fill out forms for the surgery and say this way when they have one they can call me and make the appointment. I never got a call. At this point I’m just going in for my cleaning to which I was cancelled on 2 more times for the office closing for unknown reasons. I finally have another appointment scheudled with no call received about a cancellation and then get an email my appointment for the next day is canceled. I call and ask about this and the receptionist says she sees it was canceled and doesn’t know why and she can’t get a hold of the direct office to tell me why. At this point I decide I’m going to a new place. Months later I get a bill for another date of service after the date my last appointment was cancelled to which I was never seen and have not been seen or scheuduled an appointment to which I didn’t show unless they cancelled on me. I now have been calling for a week during business hours to constantly be told by the people who answer the phone that I need to talk to the direct office and after multiple times of being transferred with no answers they say they must be at lunch or the office is closed even on days the office is supposed to be open. I would never recommend this place. I have never experienced such issues with any health services before them. I’m still trying to dispute a bill I was never seen for or scheduled for to a place that never answers the phone to even speak to anyone.

All the staff I deal with every visit are awesome. Fun to chat with and understanding caring dentist and assistant.Getting billed 3 months after last service for additional money owed and no explanation given why by office and main phone service dept.

I’ve been to many dentists over the years and this place is the best. I never felt the needles or drills in my mouth. Great Job !! You have a customer for life. I highly recommend this place even if you’re scared of dentists.

They sent me a several hundred dollar bill after telling me I wouldn't owe anything beyond my copay. Some of the charges are listed as over 90 days past due, which I was never informed of, especially considering my most recent appointment was just over a month ago . They also tried to charge me for things they didn't do last time as well. Absolutely will not return.
