There is a reason this business gets only a few stars. The Pandemic was more than just a disease that upended the country But put the best businesses out of business. The same as doctors. Why you ask. They did not want to die of Covid 19. Only the young and many inexperienced doctors survived. Some good new ones are coming in.

This pedorthic store sucks really bad. my original appointment was October 31st. I was finally measured for orthotics in January! When your feet hurt it affects daily living and mobility. I waited until early March before I was contacted. When I got to the store(thought I was picking up my shoes) I was informed of "paperwork " that my doctor needed to complete! I had traveled quite a distance . if I had been told in January of their process I could have gave them the info to help them get the forms completed! Finally I heard from them and didn't get my shoes!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS STORE.

Excellent in every way. My right foot was in terrible pain and I thought I’d never walk again. Thanks to Mike at Colaizzi for his professional and patient approach. I’m pain free and as active as I once was. Truly a life saver, highly recommended.

I have had an excellent experience with Colaizzi Pedorthic. I've long used custom orthotics provided by my physical therapist, but a new problem was a challenge and the people at Colaizzi understood what was required even if it involved no shortcuts or prefabricated inserts. A cast was made, a custom orthotic was formed, then trimmed to fit. I've been using it now for weeks and the problem I was having went away after a few weeks of usage. I'm now walking thousands of steps a day with the problem not reoccurring. What is a surprise is that as accredited medical providers, they require medical information and documentation, even prescriptions. They follow all the rules and produce high-quality end results which is why they have survived in business for decades. And yes, the right orthotic often has to have a certain depth and width to provide the support needed to correct the problem, and at least in my case, I had to buy a larger shoe. Or I guess you can buy an imported do-it-yourself solution and try your luck. After all, it's your foot.

Very disappointed. Drove 45 minutes to take my 91 year old mother to get shoes. We had Kathy. The first problem was that she wanted to give us insurance papers to take to the doctor to fill out and then come back after they were filled out. I told her that even if insurance didn't pay for the shoes, my mother needed comfortable shoes that she could walk in and we would pay for them. I basically had to demand that she try shoes on my mother while we were there because we drove 45 minutes to get there. She only tried a few shoes on, but one felt good on my mother. I again said that even if insurance didn't pay we would be buying the shoes. I took the papers to my mother's doctor for him to fill out and he sent them back to Kathy. After not hearing from her for 3 weeks I called the store. That was the second problem that I had. She said that she didn't think insurance would pay for the shoes because of how the papers were filled out. I told her again that if insurance didn't pay, we would pay. I asked her why she didn't call to tell us that and she said she did call one time on myth. I told her we never got the call and why would she not call back again knowing we wanted the shoes. My mother went over three weeks waiting for those shoes to be ordered and they were never ordered. That's a terrible way to do business especially when dealing with a 91 year old woman. I had read a negative review by Kathy and thought about asking for a different employee but I thought she deserved the benefit of the doubt. I'm so sorry that I wasted time and going all the way there and subjecting my mother to that.

Very disappointed. We waited for an appointment for my 91 year old mother to get shoes and inserts. The Podiatrist wrote a script for diabetic shoes and orthotics. We had Kathy. I was a little concerned because I had read previous comments about her that were negative. But I hoped for the best since my mother needed comfortable shoes that fit. When we got there with the script, Kathy said my mother's PCP had to fill out paperwork and submit his clinical notes. She told me she would give me the paperwork and then we could come back. We drove almost an hour to get to the store. I had to insist that she measure my mother and try shoes on her since we traveled so far and because time was of the essence. I told her that if insurance did not pay, we would still buy the shoes. My mother picked out a pair of shoes that Kathy was supposed to order. After 3 weeks of not hearing anything, I called Kathy. I could not believe what she told me. She said she did not think that insurance would pay based on the information, so she did not order the shoes. Not only did I remind her multiple times during the appointment that I stated that we wanted the shoes even if we had to pay for them, but I asked her why she did not call to tell us she did not order them. She said she called two weeks ago but we never got the call nor was there a message on the answering machine. I asked her why she did not call back to which she had no answer. After 3 weeks of waiting, I had to tell my mother that the shoes were not ordered. We thought they they would be in by that time. This is a terrible way to do business, an awful way to treat anyone let alone a 91 year old woman, and we stressed that no matter what, we wanted the shoes and would pay for them. They just lost business and I cannot recommend their services.

I’m so happy with my custom made orthotics, and if they need adjusted they are more than happy to accommodate. I’m so impressed with the customer service and how this business treats people. During the pandemic, they are making sure everyone is safe by following all the guidelines and explaining what to expect before you even come for your appointment. It’s difficult for small business right now, and this one deserves our support.

I have one leg shorter than the other and upon moving to Pittsburgh my orthopedic doctor immediately recommended Colazzi Pedortthic and I'm so glad he did. They do a great job putting a lift on my shoe but not only that- they have been able to do it on more shoes than my previous provider and at a much more reasonable price. They are creative and hard working- eager to provide the client with whatever they need. Everyone I've interacted with in the office has been warm and kind. I can't recommend them enough.

I traveled about an 1-1/2 hour to get there, really as an interview on my part to see if they could help me in the future. They were helpful to me. The bad part is that they don't return phone calls. The follow-up is terrible. We're trying to see if my insurance will cover another pair of orthotics since I got a pair from another place that wasn't suitable and that place made no attempt to make them better. Customer service is everything in business. There is never any reason not to return a phone call. We are trying to support the business.

We found the staff to be especially helpful. This is the kind of business where you need advice and support, so I would rate this business as excellent.
