This is an awesome little book store. The owner was lovely. The books are a mix of new and previously loved before by someone else. The store has beauty and classic flare!

Visited this store to try a “Blind Date With A Book”. Bought three and one of them is completely written in French. The description on the wrapping was written in English and gave no indication what was hiding inside. Common sense would say the description on wrapping should be written in French, but that seems to be lacking here.

They still require masks, as of 09-2023. A pain in the neck to shop here.

Old Review: Love this local bookstore. Love the new ownership.New Review: I love what Arlan has done with this shop. Her presence online, her professionalism as a member of the bookselling community, and her contributions as a community member all stand out. I order books from her shop from way out here in Utah sometimes, and I am so glad she facilitates this. Great curated collection worth browsing. Small footprint, big heart.

Apparently City Books is ok with their social media person driving while recording to post for attention. With how many lives and families are ruined by this careless, sociopathic behavior, I honestly cannot support them anymore. All just so they can be the ones who benefit from the potential Taylor Swift release.Really scares me that they think this is okay, and that the person behind the video probably thinks nothing about willfully endangering the lives of others for attention. She probably does it every day while she drives. It looks like they post about their "social justice" beliefs but don't practice what they preach. White feminism at its finest.

Cute location, slim selection. Only rating three stars because this location is "Pittsburghs oldest used bookstore" and yet someone they haven't yet gotten with the program and added a wheel chair ramp. I stopped for the first time today and it's very hot and sunny out and while I was there a wheelchair user was stranded outside in the heat because the store isn't accessible. There's no reason to not be ADA compliant in 2022. Do better, City Books.

Very warm, comfy and cozy spot. Owner Arlen will chat with you enough to find something you'll like or like as a gift. She is special as is this treasure of a homegrown bookstore.

My boyfriend and I bought some super cool books here, and they have an assortment of varieties, including L.G.B.T. history ... that's perfect for US. ?
