High quality craftsmanship, totally professional. Pamela in the lovely little shop helped me to select just the right (low-maintenance but beautiful) fabric. Tom C., and Luke, were so careful in measuring the custom banquette, provided a range of options (trim, cushion firmness and thickness, to attach or not to attach). They were so clearly knowledgeable I was happy to get their advice. The end result is absolutely perfect and really, really comfortable. The whole process was terrific. These people are the best and we are lucky to have them in PGH!

If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars I would! Chianelli has done 3 different jobs for me, all different. One was creating a cushion for a bay window window seat. They carefully and expertly helped to choose out the perfect fabric that coordinated with the stained glass in the bay window. The next project was upholstering the doors of a wooden, dated dining room bureau to make it look more modern. But the most recent job was reupholstering a leather sofa. This sofa has a unique style with rounded leather arms which matched the leather around the entire piece. It has unique stitching on the seams. Tom, the owner, went out of his way to find the perfect fabric, then even ordered specific equipment that could emulate the larger stitches. The final product was spectacular! He and his colleagues are a delight to work with and very accommodating. The price was very fair. I would have had to spend - $4,000 - $8,000 to get a new sofa that wasn't even as nice as the final product. I would never even think of going anywhere else for reupholstering.

Chianelli's did a fabulous job re-upholstering two wingback chairs for us several years ago. When some tacks pulled loose from one of the chairs recently, they fixed the problem at no charge despite the fact the original work was well past warranty. Highly recommend.

I contacted Tom Chianelli to discuss options for a topper to outdoor benches at my work. He and Luke came to our building to see what the best method would be and ended up designing a removable wood top to put over the bench, which I wouldn't have ever thought of. He was in communication regarding the progress, made sure the prototype worked on the bench and then completed the project in a very timely manner.We are all so pleased with the quality of craftsmanship and his professionalism. This will make our outdoor seating so much more inviting and comfortable.I'm looking forward to contacting Tom for any of our needs going forward. Truly a fantastic team.

Lovely people--very friendly and helpful. They were able to repair our couch cushion within minutes! Highly recommend. We would not hesitate to come to them with a bigger project. Terrific service, friendly conversation, and a fixed cushion, what more can you ask for?

We were so happy that Tom could help us reupholster some of our family's vintage chairs, and it was great to work with him and his company throughout the process. The chairs are beautiful, modern, and well crafted and will continue to be treasured for many years.

Chianelli was able to reupholster an office chair that I would otherwise have to reluctantly get rid of. I had previously tried 2 other upholstery shops that said the job was too complex. Tom was very pleasant to work with completed it in a single week. What I was not expecting was that the chair looks identical to the factory finish but feel 10X better. Highly recommended!

Chianelli Designs is a gem of a business and a real pleasure to work with! Tom Chianelli is a skilled and knowledgeable craftsman as well as helpful in making suggestions to improve the idea that you have. I had a need for two new daybed cushions. Tom was great in understanding the job, and finished it with a very fast turnaround and top-quality work. Can’t recommend highly enough!

While the finish product looked great and to my satisfaction,at the time. It is now just close to 2yrs and my cushions on my couch are unraveling..I am literally taking them to another shop to have them redone.l will repost before and after pics soon. Not to mention,I live alone so not a result of wear and tear..

Mr. Chianelli is a very skilled craftsman and a wonderful man. He reupholstered our dining room chairs and we were very pleased with how they turned out. They look and feel great. The price was fair and the service was exceptional.
