I used them in the past they have been great but that’s no longer the case. The father no longer runs the business and rates went up 90 dollars a hour. They showed up late and only had 2 workers charging 215 a hour .. for that much money u need at least 4 workers.. I used them in the past at least 6 times but it’s not the same .. I would never use them again

Complaints about moving heavy things. Sorry you move things For A Living. Things may, at times, BE HEAVY. When my father had to begin moving items the crew basically refused to move despite knowing fully via inventory list AHEAD OF TIME what was to be moved exactly. For instance dead weight from the weight room....because it was metal and the boys would get dirty ??????... they eventually joined in as they must've been totally ashamed that a man triple (quadruple?!) many of their ages was actually paying to move his own stuff. (is that a plus?). Furniture damaged in moving things when we were told basically WE MOVE PRICELESS PIANOS AND KEEP THEM SAFE DONT WORRY ABOUT YOUR FAMILY HEIRLOOMS. For the number of guys on the job the length of time it took to move the house was ghastly. Choice in truck size for the day, poor. They must've made 4 trips! Although several of them kept coming and going. It was shady. My guys took lunch but they all went at once. And the final cost... oh man.. My movers were fast, efficient, did as was discussed before the move, was a fraction of the cost with about the same number in the crew though I did not have a weight room so account for that.... ehhh I'd say let em keep moving pianos with insurance. Whole houses aren't their tea.

AWFUL!!!!!!!Not only did it take the moving company THREE days to move a packed house which they said would take 8 hours, they kept my things overnight which is illegal and did not tell us it would be a multi day move. They added costs every single day which was way over what they had quoted and expected us to pay more than that every day. On top of all of that, they damaged 4K in furniture which they said they would refund the damages, as they are contracted/insured to do. TWO months later they keep telling me "the check will be sent next week" and "what more do you want me to do" over and over again, every single week. It's gotten so bad the owner hung up on us so we hired an attorney and have been working with our local law enforcement to prosecute. This company is the absolute worst moving company I have ever dealt with. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!

I will begin by saying that my move was a bit more complicated than your standard move. We lived outside Pittsburgh in a 4 bedroom home with a finished basement and 3 car garage. Our plan was to relocate to New Jersey, but we hadn't yet found a house in NJ and so we were first temporarily moving to an apartment in Pittsburgh. Then onto NJ. So we had them pack our things in the 4 bedroom house and move them to their storage facility. They also moved us to the apartment, out of the apartment, and on to New Jersey. Ron was very friendly, nice, and seemed genuine when we hired him. I have moved 5 times (large moves) and this was the first time I used a local, family owned company. I got 4 bids and his was by far the cheapest but he seemed eager and my husband and I believed he'd do a good job. I got a strange feeling when he called me on Easter Sunday morning to ask if he and his crew could come the very next day to start packing up our things. This was a full week prior to when he was scheduled to come. I then started to think he wasn't organized. I was not prepared at all and had to run around like crazy preparing and figuring out what we were going to do - ON EASTER. So they came early the next day and it took them a full 3 days, but it was split up as they worked all Monday, half of Tuesday, then left and didn't come back until the following Monday to finish up. Fast forward to our move to New Jersey. This honestly could take years to write, but suffice it to say, my belongings were supposed to be delivered Monday Aug 3 and Tuesday August 4. I pre-paid (big mistake!) to book him for those days way back in early June, so I figured I had locked it in. In fact he said I needed to pay prior b/c rates were going up or something and in order to lock those dates in I'd need to pre-pay. I needed to get my things so I paid the money. So, I ended up receiving HALF of my belongings in a truck half the size of what would be needed to move my things on August 6 (which was a full 3 days after what we agreed on), and then I didn't get the rest of my things until September 16th!!! During all this there were two times between Aug 7 and Sept 16 that he said they would be here to deliver the rest of my items. I made childcare arrangements, etc and they never showed!!! This happened twice. We would call and call and he would either not answer, or come up with an excuse if he did answer. I lived 6 weeks with half of my belongings, stuff all over my house with my 3 and 5 year old little girls, husband, etc. and nowhere to put things b/c I didn't have key furniture pieces that I store things in. It was extremely difficult. I think Ron is actually a nice guy, but I would not recommend him. He is incredibly unorganized and needs some back office support or something b/c the communication from him stopped in the middle of my move and it was just ridiculous. The Covid pandemic hit right after we booked him, so I know that was hard on the industry, but this was beyond ridiculous. I'm very patient and tolerant with people, but delivering someone's items 6 weeks after you were supposed to is unbelievable. Also, I will say that I like the actual movers that do the work, they are pretty punctual, reliable, etc. I agree with one of the other posts here that they don't necessarily take the care with some of the furniture pieces that I've seen other companies do. I did have substantial scratches on my dining room chairs and a few other pieces. But, the packing they did was really good. Nothing was broken, so I would give them strong ratings on packing. I hate giving poor reviews, but this was the worst, most stressful moving experience I've ever had and I've been through quite a few moves. Oh, and I almost forgot! When they came to pack up our belongings he told me it was going to cost $2000 more than the estimate b/c I "have a lot of stuff." I couldn't believe it. Not once did I receive an updated invoice throughout this process even though I requested

DO NOT HIRE!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! RIP-OFF, DAMAGED FURNITURE!! If I could give this company NEGATIVE stars I would!! It was such a HORRIBLE experience AND they cost us THREE TO FOUR TIMES MORE than what we had agreed to!! And I'm sure the owner, Ron Calfo, scammed us when some of our items needed to be put in a 3rd party storage unit as he "claimed" he didn't have room to store all our items. EVEN THOUGH I had been crystal clear with Ron in the six weeks before the scheduled move that our items MAY need to be stored for a few days to a few weeks and he said he had "plenty of room." He claimed he cannot fit all our items in his storage space, had "kindly" found us a unit (which I later learned he gets a kickback on) and that he needed to bring half our items there. NOT ONCE DID HE EVER SAY THERE IS A 4 HOUR MINIMUM when moving anything anywhere. The move to the storage unit took 90 MINUTES. He charged us $860!!! The "I can't store all your items" act A SCAM to make more money. I read the reviews on Google Reviews before hiring and they seem positive... but later discovered the positive reviews are FAKE! They are posted by friends and family. On the day of the move he was late and he brought TOO SMALL of a truck (just 26 feet). He then BLAMED ME claiming I said it was a 6 room house... I said multiple times in multiple calls with him that it was a *6 BEDROOM* house, even listing in distinct detail what needed to be moved - including the basement, garage and outdoor furniture. My husband and I had to rush to Uhaul rental 25 minutes away to rent a 26 foot truck. Ron said he could park and store the Uhaul - in near 90 degree temps by the way - in his lot. Only to call me 4 days later saying he can't store what's in the Uhaul now and it needs to be put in a storage unit... which is yet another additional cost to us. And well, you know the rest from above. So half of our items are now basically being held hostage by Calfo so we have no choice but to have them deliver on move-in day to our new house. Again - here comes that 4 hour minimum - for a 26 foot truck. Again, they were LATE. Several items were delivered damaged. Expensive wood furniture was scratched, leather stools ripped, cushions missing (including the seat cushion for a custom chair), a very expensive heirloom wood desk was broken, screws taken out of furniture such as the dining table not given to us... all things we did not realize or notice until AFTER they were gone as we started to reorganize and put furniture where it actually goes. When I called Ron to find out about the missing cushions, screws and discuss the damaged furniture he tried to blame the 2nd moving company, Friendly Movers (the BEST!!) we had hired to move the items from the storage unit to our new home. I absolutely refused at this point to use Calfo for anything other than absolutely necessary. Many of the items with issues did not even come from that storage unit! They were on Calfo's truck!! Besides Calfo had moved us out in the first place!! Eventually he said he had insurance and would send us a claim form, just send my email. Well guess what?? 4 weeks later and NO claim form. My texts and phone calls go unanswered. I have yet to receive any email. So after a horrible experience, a moving bill 4 times what we were told WE ARE CONSIDERING SUING THIS COMPANY!!! A SCAM AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! DO NOT USE!! They are also NOT BBB accredited and have had complaints made against them with the Bureau which I am also doing.

They were remarkably dishonest, mis -leading in pricing, careless, packed poorly. We’ve moved 7 times and they are absolutely the worst we’ve worked with. They broke two couches

I used Calfo for my law office move because 15 years ago when another mover didn't show up to move me to my new house, they came at the last minute. This time they were the mover that didn't show up. They were to come on Friday at noon to my old office and didn't show up. When I called, the owner indicated they may not make it there until the next day. Sure enough I had to wait until the next day. I had moved all my files myself and the smaller furniture. All that was left was 4 boxes, a few larger furniture items and a few pictures. They showed up around 8:30 and moved very quickly. Because they didn't show up on the right day, the move was crazy as they were painting my office space. They billed me for 5 hours of work despite only working about 2 and refused to take any money off despite showing up a day late. On top of that, they lost a box that contained my Rolodex as well as desk items. They later found a case of water that they delivered the next day. The box was never returned. Very disappointing experience since for 15 plus years, I recommended them to tons of people.

Wonderful job! This company moved my piano with the greatest care. They were professional, efficient, and offered me a fair price. I would definitely use this high-quality, family-owned business for any of my future moving needs!

After a cancellation from another company less than 24 hours before the scheduled move (for a piano), CALFO RED LINE MOVING & STORAGE came to the rescue. I frantically called and spoke with the owner, Ron. He was SO friendly and understanding of my predicament. He was able to schedule me the very next day! The morning of, they called when on their way to the house. So professional.Upon arrival, Ron + 3 helpers were ready to go. They came equipped with a box truck that had a lift in the back. Straps, blankets, numerous ramps, etc. They moved the 600 lb 1970's piano quickly and seamlessly - they've clearly done this a million times. The entire piano move took less than an hour. The guys were super friendly and overall 10/10. I very rarely write reviews (and I really mean that) but these guys deserved it. If you're looking for a company to help with your next move, whether it be for a piano or even an entire house, these are your guys! If they can safely move a 600 lb piano, I would trust them with anything!! Call them up and give the local guys the business! Thank you so much Ron and Calfo Red Line!!!!! I wish I could give you 100 stars!

Fantastic service from a company that cares! They went above and beyond for my sisters move and saved the day as we had an issue with the initial company we booked. Great communication, transparent pricing and they were punctual, prepared, and efficient! Owner is very friendly and kind, family owned. Would highly recommend! Thank you again!
