1501 Arch St, Pittsburgh“Atthended the hot glass blowout class on March 8, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The instructors, Beyvan and Anna, were super informative and taught us so much. The class and the teachers exceedednmy expectations! I will be back.”
“I was just at the shop and it was unbelievably eerie and gorgeous!!! I had to stop myself from buying everything!!!
Rachael was working that day and was so helpful, kind, and funny. Loved her!
Great experience, wonderful shop! Will be going back next time I’m in the area!”

7724 Juniata St, Pittsburgh“We visited Trundle Manor, when we spent a weekend in Pittsburgh. It was really impressive and an unique experience, so that we can definitely recommend it! We really liked the authenticity of the owner and that she could say the history of each item in the house. It would have been interesting to also see the bathroom, but we can absolutely understand that some rooms are too private to show people around. So if you are visiting Pittsburgh, check out Trundle Manor.”
“Despite the bright panels on the outside, Irma Freeman Center for the Imagination is in many ways a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of place. Even after having been past it on foot several times, I often had fairly little idea what it was. My first impression was that it might be a community center for disabled or destitute youths, and therefore somewhere that serves a valuable cultural function but in which I have no place. I was very incorrect in this assumption, as I found out later. One day, while the doors were open, I walked in. I was treated to a private, minimalistic indie gallery featuring work by local artists. At the time, the exhibit focused principally on abandoned sites in the Pittsburgh area, with photographs giving an eerie portrait of the region's history. It was as though the photographers were archaeologists documenting recent times that have fallen into obscurity and ruin. This is of course not the only exhibit: Irma Freeman's collections, ever changing, deal with a number of different artists and themes. Gift shop at the front door and opening night receptions every First Friday of the month. Strongly recommend!”
“I love small art places. No complaints here. Well done small gallery with high quality retail space and add in an activity - yes, please. Wish I lived closer, so I could take a class. Or visit late afternoon and walk next door to Hopfarm Brewery. Now there's a winning pair!”
“A fantastic gallery! Each artist is thoughtfully selected and their artwork carefully curated. The pieces are always well hung and lit. Jeff is incredibly talented when it comes to displaying two or more artists together in a creative way that always works well. And the openings…I never miss them. Much like his success in displaying multiple artists, Jeff’s openings bring together a wonderful group of art enthusiasts and again, it always works. Every opening I leave with a new friend or connection and always having had a great time. Don’t pass up this gem!”
“This place has been around for a long time, and it just continues to get better with age. Four years ago I respected their offerings but couldn't find anything that suited me. Two years ago a vintage bracelet 'jumped' off the shelf at me. Today, I couldn't make a choice between all the things that appealed to me. The store was bustling. Good vibes. I worked with Evan who was more than a salesman: A curator. This place is next level.”
“I stopped in randomly making my way through The Strip District a few months ago. After looking at his work, I felt I had found the right person to make the urn for my father's remains. My father died 7 years ago, so you can imagine I've been looking for a while. He was kind and respectful, and our whole encounter, he was honest about what he could and couldn't do.He reached out when it was completed, but I was in the middle of a bunch of different crises. He held it for over a month, waiting for me to be able to get there without ever pressuring me. I finally picked it up today. It is exactly what I wanted simple but one of a kind.”
“Excellent experience with Nicole @ BoxHeart Gallery! We ordered a painting to be shipped to NC. Her communication was excellent (and friendly). We received our painting quickly and it was well-packaged, and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience.”
“Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, personable, and seemed genuinely happy to be doing what they're doing.Craftsmanship is on point; Sturdy and heavy duty. They make me want to paint so I can work with them more often.”
“Thoughtfully curated gallery in Regent Square. Their exhibitions are always beautifully hung and worth a visit each time they change. Make sure to sign up for the newsletter to stay updated for their auctions and upcoming openings of new shows. Pro tip. Alison does a fantastic job with art appraisals and they even have a frame shop in house! Hands down my favorite gallery in Pittsburgh.”
“I met Nanci at one of my solo art shows, and her and Christian approached me about having a show at their place. This was back in 2018. Since then I have shown at KCC numerous times, and worked with Nanci on social media workshops. It's always a great time being there. The professionalism that she has is great. She's very easy to work with for setting up a show. Having creative freedom on how the artist wants to show their work is great. Out of all the galleries and creative spaces in Pittsburgh KCC goes above and beyond for local artists new, emerging, and seasoned. We're treated with respect, care and appreciation. I really believe they should write about on the importance of supporting local artists.”

601 Wood St, Pittsburgh“Hiroaki Umeda's performance was breathtaking and highly thought provoking, the space was intimate. I'm looking forward to returning to see the follow on installation, very highly recommend.”
“Finally someone knows how to properly frame and present custom pieces! I am beyond impressed and happy with the quality of work that was done. I look forward to having more work done by this location!! Thank you!!!”
“Jason is such a cool guy and stellar tattoo artist! I found him after searching for someone who I could feel confident about their line work and ability to punch in color. I had never been inked and went in terrified. Yep, I found myself hyperventilating but I sat for the process because I knew the finished product would be something worth the pain (I’m a weenie, Jason isn’t heavy handed or anything). Also, to anyone with melanated and darker complexions, I can attest that Jason produces legible and beautifully saturated works. Thank you again, Artisan!”
“Very insightful exhibits. I recently attended the one that showcased local Pittsburgh artists and was completely lost in the different works. Plus, occasionally there are even baked goods!I highly recommend you check it out and see what's on display!”
“During my recent visit to the Eclectic Art & Objects Gallery inPittsburgh to drop off a landscape painting for restoration, I wasdelighted to find your collection of African Art & artifacts displayedin the new Art-In-Place gallery Showroom. After viewing the variousexamples and reading the background literature and provenance of theitems, I came away with a new appreciation for the highly stylized andunique examples of African Kuba Cloth fabrics, ancient pottery designs, carved ritual masks, and even the more contemporary African paintings. We love the Art-in-place exhibition concept as well as the unique "Try nBuy, Audition Offer" including the lovely Kuba Cloth that I will betrying out in my home. Thanks for all of the wonderful artwork thatyour Gallery brings to Pittsburgh, many of which eventually end-up inmy home!”
“I've been taking a pottery class there and I love it! We're in a small group, we are fairly free to do what we want and our teacher is here to help, answer questions and show us the way.”

2125 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh“I have been coming to this store with my family for years and they have the best Pittsburgh-related gifts and high quality gemstones. One of my top favorite stores in the Strip District. I love Art of Steel!”
“We have been here twice. The first time we were able to actually talk to Randy himself. What a nice guy! This place is free and full of unique, eclectic, and unique art that has been collected and painted over decades. This is definitely something to see if you’re ever in Pittsburgh.”
