Try to buy a universal mining bracket for a light switch for my fog lights they do not carry them he looked in the computer could not even come up with nothing for a toggle switch it's sad I had to order off of Amazon to get what I needed

So I went today to the store to return something to Amazon, and that advance auto part ups drop off there . There was a cashier His name is Phil. He said to me you need to put the item es in a box we didn’t do this here , I told him I returned an item 2 weeks ago, with no label. All you have to do is scan the barcode on my phone and you can return it he said to me no you You have to do this. You’ll have to put it in a box. You label it we scan it we send it I told him no I can show you the email Amazon sent it to me. He said to me OK you can do whatever you want. He left me and walked a way . He was so rude , ignorant and disrespectful and I don’t think I will go back to the store again, but there is another cashier, he is young and he was so nice. He apologized for what phill did . I hope all the cashiers in this store like this young guy and I hope Phil learn from that nice kid how he treat the customers .

as a PhD holder in automotive engineering with 22 years of experience, i found these auto parts rather sophomoric, simple; certainly not deserving of the title "advance auto parts", if i were the owner i would change the name to "regular auto parts" or "average auto parts" so the customers can appropriately gauge what they're getting into.

The service was great. A man named "Zach" assisted me today. He literally installed my new Battery in less than 10 minutes. All while they were VERY busy. He was very professional. I hope he's a part of the management team. If so this location will shine. Thanks!

Very very lazy and inexperienced! Had to wait 45 minutes past opening time for someone to open the store door, only to tell us it'd be another half hour for his systems, to check anyone out! This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at advanced in southside pittsburgh and I will not be returning to that one! Ps if I could give it 0 stars I would!

I had a great experience here, Ryan who is the general manager was able to assess my situation quickly and accommodate my needs! He really helped me out when I was in a bad situation and was super helpful with the information he was able to give me. Will be coming back to this store everytime I need something from advanced auto parts.

Negative battery terminal started melting within 6 months of sale from this place. I had advanced auto parts test the battery after my car wouldn't start repeatedly. They said I needed to take it to a different mechanic to have them diagnose the problem (they are not a "shop"). Mechanic told me if I hadn't brought it in soon, the battery would have exploded. I had the 3rd party mechanic replace the battery. When I tried to get a refund from advanced auto, they told me they don't offer refunds, only replacements. So now I have 2 batteries, am out $224 for the one I am not using. Never again will I step foot in an advanced auto parts and neither should you. (Especially this one, Mark and Rick had absolutely terrible attitudes).

As other reviews have mentioned, this specific store does not want to accept any returns. They hide behind company "policy" anytime you bring in anything and blame the owner/managers not being there as an excuse why they can't do anything. Went to an Autozone, not only did they have the part I needed but the employee said they would be happy to accept returns if it wasn't the right part. I won't be back to this store.
