Fantastic organization in the Pitt area. I volunteered doing home deliveries and it's super organized! The app is great too. A great way to give back to our local community by providing food to people in need and combating food waste.

They left some food for a senior complex where my client lives. The salad was open and wet. The veggie trays had moldy vegetables in them!! How in the hell can anyone bring that to a senior place of residence without feeling guilty is beyond me!

The 412 Food Rescue app makes it easy to find a food rescue nearby.Then the app guides you every step of the way, from pick up to delivery. In about 30 minutes, volunteers save fresh, nutritious food from getting wasted by delivering this good food to our non-profit parters, with programs focussed on combatting nutrition insecurity.
We rescue surplus, perishable food from grocery stores, food distributors, convenience stores, caterers, restaurants and even food banks,.
Our volunteers -- our Food Rescue Heroes -- pick up and deliver the food to our non-profit partners like shelters, housing projects, and soup kitchens, who serve our neighbors facing food insecurity.
