Heaven’s Gate Farm is run by quite possibly the kindest horse people I have ever met. They have an extraordinarily well cared for string of school horses who are all extremely capable to teach every rider something — from completely beginners to seasoned show veterans, the school horses here will teach you something.
The facility is beautiful and well kept in a quiet part of PA and the horse shows are incredibly well run and organized. I wish I could put an infinite number of stars to rate HGF!

My daughter has been taking lessons 2x per week for a year and I’ve seen her improve greatly. Miss Bev, Emily, Steph, and Megan have all helped boost her confidence and overcome some nerves while riding! They are patient and encouraging. The girls at the barn have embraced my daughter and taught her so much about horses and how to care for them. We enjoy spending hours at the barn each week!

I definitely recommend HGF. Although I am new to the barn, I can tell that the coaches Ms. Bev (owner), Steph, Emily, and Megan take time to focus on each and every student during lessons to ensure that every student can work on skills that they as an individual need to work on. There are many great lesson horses that can help teach riders from beginners to more advanced riders, and help them advance in the equestrian world. I love this barn, and I would definitely recommend the facility.

my horse almost died at this farm! I used to board and lesson at HGF. My horse coliced twice at this farm due to the care. Owner refuses to own up to the fact my horse coliced in her care. My horse got severe ulcers due to them not giving enough forage. My horse also got extremely bad thrush from sitting inside his stall all day. We requested him to stay outside but she insisted that he stayed in because it “wouldnt be good for him” we have screenshots of her saying that but my horse lives outside almost all day only comes in for feedings and he is doing great. When my horse coliced the first time the vet said it was mandatory that his grain was soaked. Owner would not soak my horses grain which caused a colic soon after the first. During His second colic the owner let him sit in his stall in pain for 30 minutes before she decided to call us to inform us he was colicing. Then she refused to give him banimine just because we gave our 30 day notice. Grain is low quality and cut with sweet feed which can cause ulcers. There is also minimal turn out. My horse was kept in for a week straight which drove him nuts. My horse isnt the only one that has coliced at this farm!!! After we left HGF my horse was skin and bones. Definitely do not recommend this farm!!!

I just returned to riding after a five year break and cannot imagine a better place to get back in the saddle (ugh, yes, I went there). From the trainers to the awesome (really, wow) juniors who keep an eye over the students, the team has exceeded my expectations in terms of care, safety and fun - and I have pretty high standards after a lifetime on both sides of the business! Everyone has made me feel comfortable and welcome without sacrificing the discipline that is so important in the barn. I highly recommend HGF as a place to learn, develop horse sense and find support to go as far as you want to with your riding.

I love everything about HGF! I have been with Bev since I was a kid, and would never even think about going anywhere else. My own daughter now also rides in lessons here, and she has grown so much in maturity, independence, and confidence since she started riding. The families at the barn are wonderful, and it's always a fun atmosphere!

This was my girls( 10 and 12 )first time going to horse camp and Heavens Gate farm exceeded our expectations. It was so well organized, fun and educational. My girls had the time of their lives and wanted to immediately sign up for the following year.

I love it here. I board here and take lessons. The coaches and property are amazing. They take awesome care of the horses and make everyone who leaves not just a rider but a horseman/horsewoman.

It is an amazing barn it is always almost clean. The owner Miss Bev is very nice but firm. My mom boards our pony and horse their and they love it and so do we. We have only been riding for 3 years and we consider it one of our homes now. Everyone there is so nice and they everyone for who they are. It truly is amazing and I have not just grown on a horse but with the horses also. If you ever have a couple free hours then I would most definitely come for a lesson. The trainers teach different skill levels. So even if you have never ridden before you should still definitely come.

Have boarded at Heaven’s Gate Farm since 2009. My horses have always received amazing care and attention. I also participate in the lesson program. Bev and Steph are excellent trainers even when working with a mature rider like myself who has fears from injuries prior to being at HGF. Bev, Mike and their staff monitor the horses to ensure their health and well-being. Bev is always willing to listen and to share her knowledge. I have made wonderful friends at the barn who have helped me through some personal tragedies. HGF is my barn family. I highly recommend HGF.

I do not recommend Heaven's Gate Farm to lesson or board your horse. My daughter was there for 3+ years. She lessoned 2x a week, was on the IEA team and boarded her horse and pony there. Both horse and pony were moved due to inconsistencies of care. My daughter left the barn losing her confidence and passion for something she loved to do since she was 4 years old. Poor barn management and property needs a lot of maintenance to avoid safety issues. Fans used are a fire hazard especially when outlets are draped in cobwebs and multiple fans on extension cords for outdoor shed row. Owner does not require boarders to have their core vaccinations, which in turn exposes them daily but mainly monthly when other horses come to the barn to show. It also puts those visitors' horses at risk. Their website states horses get hay 4x a day--this is false advertisement, it is only twice. Turn out is limited. I now understand the term "full-care" facility since we moved barns.
