I used to really like this United Tire and trusted the guys there a lot.
Unfortunately I recently discovered that the cracked/leaking oil filter housing they had supposedly replaced with an aluminum one on my Jeep, is in fact still plastic. I have doubts as to whether it was ever replaced at all seeing as it's still leaking, and the oil pooled down in that area never went away as far as I saw, but all I can be certain of is the $1100 the job cost me did not get me the aluminum one to solve the cracking issue with the plastic ones as had been discussed.
I stopped going here after I realized something weird was going on when I brought it back shortly after they had supposedly replaced it with an aluminum one and was told that it was leaking and is a common issue with the OEM plastic housings and that they could replace it with an aluminum one. Unfortunately, being a novice, I was looking at the wrong thing at the time and was under the impression the aluminum one WAS in there and after pointing it out that theyd already dont that job it was supposed to be replaced again since the part must've been defective.
I recently had to do some work of my own on the engine and was able to get a good look with the air intake manifold off and found out I indeed still have a plastic one and it is cracked again, if it was ever replaced at all.
Very unfortunate and frustrating to find out I didn't get the part I was understanding I'd be getting to resolve the cracking issue. It may have still been replaced with an OEM plastic one, but I very seriously doubt it. Unfortunately I will definitely not be back after discovering this.
Editing this to respond to some of the things the owner replied with:
You're right, it wasn't $1100, the paperwork shows it was a total of $1,215.38. THAT is what I paid you for the (aluminum) part and the work. How replacing what should have been a stronger aluminum housing with a plastic housing is better just because it's "more expensive" is beyond me. Let alone the fact that when I was told it was leaking for the 2nd time I was assured it was already a plastic one at the time, meaning there wasnt an aluminum one on there at the time as there should have been. And as a result I knew something weird was going on at the time.
In the notes I wrote down from that day about our conversations I had asked 2-3 seperate times if they were sure the one on there was plastic and was repeatedly assured it was (it shouldn't have been). At this point under no circumstance would I trust the work to be done. so thank you for the consideration to reevaluate, but I will pass unless you'd like to offer a refund of the $1215.38

Great place to go!! Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Nice waiting area with seating, coffee, giant salt water aquarium and large tv. Bathroom was updated and very clean.

The staff is very friendly. They have one of the best waiting areas in town. They have treated my wife and I well. We first tried them after having issues with another place. They take time to explain things to the detail you want... which is rare. Highly recommend them

My car broke down on my way home from work so after doing a little research, I found United and decided I’d call them in the morning and have my car towed there. They were very prompt in getting my car fixed that same day and explaining what had happened to it. Thanks again!
