Finally - a place that teaches gymnastics to children! The teachers are hard working and kind but they also show the children how to improve. Oaks Gym is not just an expensive rendition of play time like many other gymnastics places in the area, it is a school for gymnastics that children love.

We enjoyed the teachers, but the owner was VERY difficult to do business with. Good experience for the students; for the parents, not so much... He has a lot of family-unfriendly policies or just strange practices: * no drinks (including coffee!) in the waiting area - this was huge for me when my daughter had an early Saturday morning class * no way to pay online or to have your bank automatically submit payment * oddly scheduled sessions, always different numbers of weeks so the amount paid constantly changed. NBD except all communication was done on paper (this was in 2018?!) so I was constantly having to find the paper to figure out the payment due * no payments mailed to the studio, everything had to be handed in in person * frequent and long-winded letters to families (often 2 pages!! And my daughter was only a beginner, no competition teams or anything) - I'm busy and would much prefer a quick overview of dates/amount due/payment due date, etc... * there's a screen in the waiting room where you should be able to watch the classes going on in the next room. That's a nice idea, but it didn't really work, the picture jumped around and gave me a headache * there are early registration coupons for each session, which is nice. But read them carefully! One week my husband forgot to turn in the payment I'd sent, so he turned it in the next week not realizing it was made out for the amount less the coupon discount (the expiration date had passed). We were not only billed the coupon amount (which, I agree, remained due) BUT ALSO a $10 fee for our "insufficient payment."

Excellent instruction, dedicated coaches, and this gym does not mandate competitiveness. If your child would like to, they can compete, but if they just want exercise and friendship, that is also an option.
