Great dayI walked in and they were ready for me.I had to do my DOT physical. The ladies at the front desk were so pleasant and happy. They got me in and out and I went back to work. (BOOOOOOO)From start to finish everyone was so pleasant I would recommend Concentra to all.

I was seen at the facility by Dr. Axlerod. The physical exam lasted about one minute (and I’m being generous). I found him to be condescending, uncaring and incompetent. It surprises me that Concentra would hire a Doctor that took an oath to help people in pain be so dismissive. I’m not sure what his qualifications are, I can only give you my honest opinion based on my visit that day. I am a senior citizen and I’ve seen my share of physicians during my lifetime. I could never recommend this doctor for any type of treatment. He struck me as a participating player in the world of terrible health care.

As far as the facility and front desk people everything was great until I went to the back to see the doctor.. It was OK with the first lady that just tested my vision, weighed me, took my height and tested my urine.. she then sent me to the next room and that’s when the doctor came in. When he first came in his energy already seemed off. He Then proceeded to ask me to take my shirt and undershirt off (out of the multiple times, I’ve been to that location I’ve never had anyone ask me that). Just to do the stretches, which did not require me to takeoff anything. He then told me to pull down my pants and underwear, he tell me turn to the side and cough but he bearly gave me a sec before he started supposedly checking for hernia… Last but not least I’ve been driving to School Bus for 7+ years. I’ve never had a doctor. Tell me I had sleep apnea. he asked me did I snore which everyone does, and I’ve told doctors that in the past when I took my physical, then he said he couldn’t see the back of my throat I even let him know I had a sore throat and been coughing all day.. He then told me to go back to the lobby and he has to bring me some paperwork , just to tell me I can’t drive until I get a sleeping test. The whole visit was off and very very uncomfortable.

I came in the office as a result of fall I had in the job. I hit my back and my job made me come. The dr was rude and kept asking me about my past medical history as if it had anything to do with my fall. He then told me that I was fortunate because I have insurance and I’m using workman’s comp. Then he proceeded to say he’s gonna schedule an MRI for me. He also told me that he’s not trying to be rude by I have a 50 year old back.He put me back to work with no restrictions and when I asked the nurse to get him so I can explain the nature of my job, he refused to talk to me and told the nurse that I’m a Dean and I don’t do anything at my job. He requested that I come back in a few days and asked for a release because I suffer with sciatic nerve pain.He was rude and said a lot of inappropriate things to me. I was disgusted by his demeanor and his behavior.

I scheduled visit and had to wait 2 1/2 hours for MD. Front desk staff did not inform individuals waiting on status of visit until multiple complaints were made. The front end staff is not very professional and may need additional customer service training. Also, the paperwork that was needed to complete appointment has multiple HIPPA violations and needs to be modified. The forms contained items that was an invasion of my privacy.

I had to visit this clinic for a fire fighters physical. My physicians name was Tiffany. I was having a horrible week and Tiffany made my day. She was very polite understanding and funny. She knows her job very well and did a great job relating to me as a person. I would also like to give a shout out to MR Greg as a did briefly have an encounter with him. He is very knowledgeable and very helpful. The both have greet energy and make you feel like family. So to end this survey I had to “Tell you about him”

Receptionists are mannered, nice and respectful. But if you are scheduled to see Dr Axelrod, schedule a new appointment with any other doctors. He only care about making the city employees go back to work, doesn't even listen to the patient's issues.

First, I must say all staff here EXCEPT Dr. Axelrod were wonderful- the ladies at the front desk, my physical therapist Garret, and Tara. I have never been treated so poorly and with such lack of empathy and unprofessionalism as I have with Dr. Axelrod (and as I see in the other reviews I am not the only one). I was seen after a bad fall at work and had pain in both of my upper arms, shoulders, and neck. As he told some others reviewing here, He said "You "look" healthy, your arms "look" perfectly healthy and dismissed my complaints of severe pain. I explained that the physical therapy exercises were aggravating my pain instead of helping. His response was, "So you're saying the physical therapist did this to you? So he made you lift 200 pounds?" I said of course not and that the exercises must have aggravated my pain. At that point I was in shock at his unprofessional comments. I asked for an MRI, he said he only sends people for MRI's if he thinks they need surgery but how would he know that, maybe he has xray vision? This was almost 2 weeks after my injury so it was not unreasonable for me to ask for imaging since my pain was getting worse. He also said, "Oh everyone says the pain is killing me, but is it really "killing you", no it's not". He said "It's not like you broke any bones, it might not even be from falling". He also said, "Oh I know what pain is, I've had a hip replacement before, you just need to deal with it". These statements are just some of what I remembered to jot down in my phone immediately after this appointment because I was so devastated and in shock that I was treated like this and I wanted to document what he said word for word. I then called Concentra's customer service and made a complaint which was then forwarded to a Dr. Smick who I was told would call me. Instead of calling he emailed me that he was sorry I had a bad experience with Dr. Axelrod and that he can assure me he is a great physician and that I should give him another chance but if I don't feel comfortable seeing him I can see someone else. I emailed him back since he did not leave a contact number telling him I was disappointed that he did not call me since I was expecting a call and asked him to please call me and left my number. After that, no email, no phone call back. I then ended up in the emergency room because the pain was so unbearable and the Dr there wrote that I needed MRI's for possible tears and I had to bring that paperwork back to Concentra for them to finally order MRI imaging which then showed torn rotator cuffs in both of my shoulders and bulging discs in my neck. I have never met a Dr. before with such horrible bedside manner, lack of empathy, and such unprofessionalism before and I really feel sorry for whoever goes there and has to see him. There is no excuse for this doctor's behavior.

The woman staff were so nice hence the 2 stars but Dr Axelrod was horrid. He thinks sexual assault at work as a nurse is " what we sign up for".

The staff is beyond the best in customer service and physical therapy. My experience with Stephanie, Tiffany, Natalie, Erica, Garrett, and (the newest front desk receptionist) was beyond words. Although they are alot of times extra busy; they make sure that they put you at ease and walk you though what needs to be done. All of the other locations need to be modeled off of their procedures and know how. Thanks again to this A+ staff.

The office is clean & the wait is long even for a scheduled visit. The receptionists can get a bit loud. The patients that are in the sitting area can hear all conversations w/ patients & amongst themselves. Medical support individual Greg,Tiffany & the lady that did my vitals were awesome. Doctor Lawrence Alexarod #MD029991E has no bedside manners. He do not listen to understand, he listens to reply. How can one work in the medical field with no empathy? This man stated "U look like a fairly healthy female after I explained the pain that I was having. He never prescribed meds or a plan for me. I don't feel comfortable under Dr. Alexarod care,so i asked the city for a 2nd opinion. Needless to say he sent me back to work! City doctors work for the city, they can care less about how your actually feeling especially this one.All you have to do is read the reviews on him & they speak for themselves.

Upon entering , I was greeted warmly and because the weather was extremely hot that day offered was and asked to take a seat. Asked how did I get there, told them that I didn't drive and walked from where the bus let me off , that's where the concern came in . It was appreciated Really great service from the door until I left.

The first time I attempted to have a drug screen taken I was turned away, even though my office called to verify my arrival. How many people walk into a Work Net and request a drug screen for no reason. I'm going to say none. The second time I went I arrived at 6:45 a.m. after I was told the place opened at 7:00 a.m. It didn't open until 7:30 and I wasn't asked to give a urine sample until 9:00 a.m. Everybody that goes there goes with a full bladder and to have to wait 1 1/2 hours with a full bladder is not fun. I had issues until that evening, from holding my full bladder that long.

coordination with my employer (who has their own problems but still) was very poor -- crowning 'achievement' was when verbal/phone confirmation that I could come in (for an already-delayed test) on a specified day was reversed by a manager who had been out when I called. desk and other staff have great attitudes but are stuck in bad situation.
