I have been visiting this store for over 25 years. Plenty of clothing, brick a brac, small electronics and housewares. Occasionally a nice piece of furniture.I just bought a beautiful set of hand painted wine glasses and carafe for about $10. Love ❤ this place.

I'm literally never stepping foot in this store again. Everyone supposed to be so Christian my two year old stood there freaking out over this pink tricycle. I left my debit card home I begged them to hold it literally while she was screaming. No heart in that store was Godly enough to hold that tricycle for me baby. My church home would never disregard a baby like that. I'm never supporting again

THIS old Thrift Shop IS GERMANTOWN & CHELTEN'S little historical treasure chest.???I CAN'T BELIEVE how I've come FULL CIRCLE as a shopper there. At age 19, I furnished my 1st apts and clothed myself as a poor college student by going to Whosoever.???At age 25, I began going to the Mission to purchase shelves and recess toys like hobby horses, sleds and pots/cups/spoons for the sandbox to ENRICH the play of my students in my preschool. ????⚽️???♂️ They sell bikes, boardgames, dolls, peewee league sports gear! ???When my Mom had a stroke and I cared for her, I got extra walkers and a wheelchair from WHOSOEVER before I moved her in with me. And when she died, I donated some of her good still durable furniture back to the Mission as a THANK YOU. ???NOW I am 52 and its the COVID apocalypse and economic breakdown; I am broke barely hanging on, sorrowful about many local businesses CLOSING or forced to RAISE PRICES. I took the 23 BUS and walked the 2 blocks to find WHOSOEVER........STILL GOING STRONG!!!! ????The guys who work there welcomed me back with smiles, jokes and helped me looking for stuff. Its like going to the CROWDED CRAMPED exotic shops in the films GREMLINS or HARRY POTTER when he finds his wand. You go in and wander, discover, become intrigued......I have BOUGHT quality used or NEW unused items at fractions of their original prices. DVDs, CDs, cassettes, hardback books, REAL GLASS CRYSTAL for just $1 or 50 cents each!!!!!Upstairs is their HUGE furniture warehouse. Beds, couches, desks, tables----- $10 to $50.PLUS, proceeds go to HELPING POOR and HOMELESS. And what you are buying is LOST, STILL VIABLE/USEFUL, QUALITY, STYLISH, OLD SCHOOL CRAFTSMANSHIP of stuff MADE TO LAST!!!!!!!!!!!! ????As a people, we waste so much. Recycle Shop your butt off while pretending to be Marion from Indiana Jones and get your frugal, smart, socially conscious, RETRO CHIC, bohemian style, ecologically proactive shopping needs FULFILLED.Oh, you do this while grooving to old school 90s jams blasting too! Its ALL GOOD in da hood! ????????And if YOU are hesitant because you are AFRAID of germs.....um, EVERYTHING we buy from ANY STORE or AMAZON FACTORY WAREHOUSE is germy--- touched my countless strangers who work there, people who shop there and handled outside or left outside on your porch in the elements.I am saying, JUST WASH your stuff when you get home like you kinda should be WASHING EVERYTHING you purchase and bring into your home. It's worth it to me.

My review will be somewhat bias. I've been coming here since I was a little girl, with my mom... I am now an adult. Coming to the Gospel Mission, is like visiting family for me. The stuff here is a hit or a miss. But you can't complain when everything is so cheap!

They are grateful for all donations. They price their shop for shoppers with limited funds..the way it should be imo. I used to donate to salvation army but dont anymore. You can also donate via amazonsmile at no cost to you.
