It's not perfect but they do their best and it's an institution. Got a lot more heart than Amazon. Yes stuff is to expensive for me or most of us to shop there exclusively but it's not their fault that cheap prices require exploitation all along the supply line and I'm not going to punish them for that especially bc I know nobody on the co-op board is getting rich.

This place is amazing. Kind of small but packed with tons and tons of goodies. Try the upstairs even, it's even better.

Still has that old school co-op vibe. Neighborhood store with remarkable selection in such a tiny space. Not for the claustrophobic.

Weaver's Way is justly celebrated as a Mt.Airy institution. Yes, some of the prices are high, but that's due in part to the quality of what's on offer and prices on staples are mostly reasonable. Yes, it can feel crowded but it also has a strong sense of community absent from Acme and other grocery stores. The staff is treated well and are lovely and helpful. If you are in the area, I strongly urge you to join!

Best produce, their own grown salad mixes are the best. Their homemade turkey (cold cuts)is A+, also lovely and wonderful friendly staff. Wish they made fruit cups. ?

Weavers Way is a neighborhood staple. Since I first moved to West Mt. Airy six months ago, it has effectively become a central part of my daily routine. Is this your local Acme? It is not. Should you expect to be able to peruse the aisles freely with an oversized shopping cart? You should not. That said, the selection and quality of produce, fresh store-prepared foods, meats, local and organic options, etc. in such a small space almost defies logic. There have only been a handful of times that I have had to venture out to the big-box stores of Chestnut Hill, Germantown, or Roxborough. And while all of these things make for a good shopping experience, these are not what make Wavers Way great. For that, you need to look at its people. It is a microcosm of the neighborhood. A place where you get to know people by name, where no trip is complete without some small talk or banter. Is the store small? YES. It's tiny. And it can get crowded. But you know what? It works. It works because people care to make it work. Because people look out for one another. Don't take up space schlepping your shopping basket around the store. Put it down in the holding area like everybody else, deposit your groceries individually like everybody else, and get in line like everybody else. Things move quickly and efficiently. A trip to Weavers Way is a carefully orchestrated dance, and it is beautiful. By its very nature as a Co-Op, Weavers Way is community-focused and community-driven. Everybody cares about the store, and it shows. It is always clean, always well-stocked, always friendly. It is a throwback to the mom-and-pop stores of years past, but at scale. If I could say more good things about Weavers Way, I would. Do yourself a favor and go check it out yourself. You won't be disappointed.

My family has been members of this coop for over 23 years. We've worked here, on staff, and doing coop hours and really appreciate the beacon it's been for this community. High-quality produce, dry goods, bulk , and 'across the way' and the mercantile are elite expansions on the space. I have, unfortunately, had some folks watch me shop at across the way. Which isn't what any black woman walks into a store looking for, but I chalk it up to new staff and their own personal issues. Never have issues in the main store, though. It is always good to see the familiar faces of seasoned staff and share a smile. Keep it up guys

Thiis market is a sort of coop. It has a wide assortment of high quality vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads, and other foods. Pretty much the whole array of foods you eat. And much of it is either organic or locally grown or produced. Some things are pricey compared to a conventional market, but you get what you pay for as always. But many items such as locally baked breads are either competively priced or lower than the going price.
