The employees here must be in competition with each other to see who can be the rudest or laziest. I feel terrible for inconveniencing them with my desire to send packages. Clearly that’s not what they employees are here for; their jobs are to roll their eyes, chat with each other, and snark at those of us inconsiderate enough to….come to the post office to send mail. Im sorry I disrupted your afternoon with my postal needs. ?
I miss the Roxborough office.

As a black man, I can say what everyone else in the comment section doesn’t think they’re allowed to say. Perhaps the world would be a better place though if they had the balls. There’s not a single place on this earth that perpetuates black stereotypes like these people. I’m from the South, so I understand Northeasterners aren’t as friendly overall, but you can at least have the decency to make eye contact when I walk in. The workers are lazy, attitudinal, acting like I’m inconveniencing them for walking in. I walked in the other day and there were 3 ratchet black chicks wearing bonnets (who the hell leaves the house dressed like that anyway) talking to each other in a circle, with ZERO regard for anyone walking in. I stand there waiting for someone to acknowledge me, mind you I’m the only damn person there, and nobody moves a muscle. It’s not until I come up to the window and ask for help, where a lazy-eyed, downtrodden woman reluctantly turns around to snatch my package then continues with her conversation. Didn’t say hello, didn’t look me in the eyes, didn’t offer a receipt, absolutely nothing… the absolute bare minimum effort. What’s with the work ethic in our community? Asking for government handouts yet we can’t work, we can’t interact with people, we’re horrible in the customer service department, and willing to fight over anything. I hope… matter fact I pray they shut this place down. There’s no hope for these people, nor their offspring going forward.

Now that I am sure that my package has left this facility: I can write this review. I came to drop off my package, no one was at the front desk and I waited a bit to get assistance. The male employee (I am assuming is the manager) snatched by package with no regard for whether it is fragile or not. He then proceeded to tell me the package was “taped” inaccurately and how it will get snagged when it arrives to central processing. I stood there calmly, and just said okay.
The two other employees arrived, and one immediately started indirectly providing side commentary. I got my receipt and left.
1. Not once did - any of these employees offer a solution for this “problem”.
2. I have taped packages for USPS delivery for YEARS and have never had an issue. I think at my age, I am component enough to tape.
3. Per the vendor, I did not have to package the item. I was to bring it to USPS, and they are supposed scan the QRS code, package and TAPE IT.
I know the USPS is poorly funded etc. It takes little energy to be nice and kind. If you hate your job, taking it out on the customer is not the solution.
Avoid this location like the plague. The parking lot is closed as well, including main and side entrance.

There were two "workers" there but only one does anything while the other woman just sits there on her phone and yells out "is anyone here to pick up mail feom a P O BOX" every once in awhile.
Apparently, that's all she is there to do and nothing else regardless of how long the line gets. It's just so crazy to watch...

Says they open at 8 am online and on the door. Not true. Wish they would adjust their hours to be accurate so trips here aren’t wasted.

The new manager has really turned this location around. She places emphasis on customer service and problem solving. She is attentive to the postal needs of the community. The location has free parking and an elevator for accessibility.

I personally recommend that someone should supervise these workers.

No supplies available. Had to purchase tape. No marker available to address my box. A coworker interrupted my conversation with the front desk as I was speaking.

This place sucks. If you can go to another post office, do it.

Every time I have to use this post office to ship orders, they mess something up. Most of the time, they either don’t scan the packages in, so my customers contact me wondering why there are no tracking updates available, let my orders sit for a week or two without being shipped, or lose some of my packages completely. I usually have to drive out of the city to a much more reliable post office (Flourtown), which actually has a competent staff, but I broke my foot so I had to rely on Manayunk this time. Huge mistake. If you’re a small business owner, avoid this post office, and the Roxborough post office at all costs.
