“Ayana is the best. She is kind and professional and so much fun to work with! The boutique contains such a beautiful array of designs and colors, and the pieces are arranged in such a way that focuses on the beauty of the items, rather than the size. Ayana went out of her way to select the perfect pieces for my event. I felt like I was shopping in Paris. Can't say enough kind things.I went in frazzled, and left feeling like I made a new friend. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself. Check out the lovely treasures in Fashion Forward.”

“The Clover Market actually moves around the area, and the one I went to this year was held in Collingswood. I heard it was the only one in Jersey this year. They claim there are 100 vendors, but I really don't feel like it was that many, though I saw that there were a few booths were artists split a booth. Now, this ain't your neighborhood grandma using Michael's ribbons on sale with her 25% coupon to make wreaths that you slap onto your front door. For many of the booths, it was gallery quality, and the prices reflect as such. Everyone was super, super friendly. My favorite booth was the guy who handcrafted amazing whirligigs. I had to buy a flying pig that used bird feathers to catch a breeze. Stunning, and for $40, I had to get it.”

“I've been here consistently for 3 years (& counting) & it took me this long to write a review?!? So my review is based on my many years of experience shopping at Circle Thrift (CT). Get ready as this will be the most comprehensive review ever on my favorite store in Philly (& maybe all of America? maybe the entire world?). Times I've spent here At most: 2x / week Usually: weekly At least: biweekly CT standard not-on-sale $ (pricing system): Prices here are undefeatable! The cheapest you'll find anywhere! Frugal people gather around! Orange tags: $15 Any colored tags depend on the week: for the colors not on sale, unless otherwise specially marked: Men's Shirts: Short-sleeves: $3; Long-sleeves: $4 Tanks: $3 Bras: @@@@@ Underwear: (don't remember seeing boxers) Swimwear: 1-piece set: $4; 2-piece set: $2/ per piece T-shirt Top (Female): $3 Long-sleeve blouses/shirts: $4 Pants, Shorts: $4 Pants, Long: $5 Leggings: $4 Athletic Tops: $3 Athletic Pants: $4 Dresses: $7 Skirts: $4 Suits: $10 Blazers: $6 Trousers (Men): $10 Sweaters: $5 Ties: $1 Lounge/Sleepwear: $4 Sweatshirts: $5 Sweatpants: $4 Outerwear: $10 Kids clothing: $1 Shoes: as marked price Books in CT2: hardcovers: $2, softcovers: $1 Items in CT2: (ie furniture, large items, knickknacks) as marked price Items I've seen here: A whole range for different genders and age groups including newborns & children. Since CT is located in Fishtown, a hip neighborhood, the items that are donated here are usually purchased by people with modern/ good taste. I've also heard wealthy people donate newly bought items here for tax benefit/write-off purposes. I've seen anywhere from fast fashion items (H&M, SHEIN, Forever21, Walmart, etc.) to quality (anthropology, everlane, Banana Republic, J. Crew) to high-end (Brooks Brothers, Stuart Weissman) to luxury brands (though I don't think they authenticate items nor am I able to distinguish so buy at your own caution. But I saw brands like Fenty, LV, Gucci, Valentino, etc.) Any items you'd think they'd have, they'll have albeit not in store all the time but if the timing and coincidence are right, it'll be there. & any item you don't think you'll need, but you buy to need, you'll find here. From lingerie to undergarments, to cookware & dish-ware & utensils & appliances, to electronics, to footwear of all kinds including ice skating boots, to clothing of all kinds including coats and scrubs, even wedding dresses, to socks and hats, to newborn & baby onesies/ footsies, baby accessories like hats & shoes & bibs & toys, to seasonal decors & gift bags/ cards, to the arts & crafts corner with yarn, to linens, bedding & cushions, to suitcases & personal bags of all kinds (book bags, duffles, female bags), to garden pots, to PJs, Pros about this store: Discount/ sale system: & explanation of their turnover rates: Weekly items discount for 50¢ for that week's color (of items less/ = $10) or 1/2 off (no limit) for that week's second color. Weekly discounts begin on Wednesdays. Items have fast turnover rates in the store (unlike Goodwill which is why Goodwill seems like digging through trash) + affordable pricing system + discount system = there's always treasures to be found. If an item is without its color price tag, it will automatically be CT's regular price. To describe it; Small selection but fast turnovers, so it's best to go often as there are new items every day. Staffing: The people here are so friendly! I've always seen Ivan here & he brightens our day! Scotty is a ray of sunshine in CT2. The only cons/downsides: No bathroom for public use... due to privilege being abused by druggies... *sigh*, but they're not unreasonable about it if you're pregnant. I'd go to Riverwards Produce Market grocery store or Cake And Joe bakery for a close bathroom (see Google map picture). No haggling. Strict about this one even if the condition of the item is not ”

“Super narrow and packed with unique finds. So many weird collectibles and a drink stirrer drawer?? Such a fun visit for a lazy Sunday after brunch. I've been fascinated with this place since coming to the city years ago.(**Picture is from 2018)”

“Small store but great variety. Found some STEALS there. Went in for one outfit for semi-formal event, walked out with a bunch of fall additions to my closet, including 2 great pairs of shoes. I have benefitted from Project HOME's adult classes and know people who benefit from their housing. Love being able to help the community/organization and also being able to get some wins as well.
Also, the gentleman who was working, who I believe is the store's manager, was incredibly kind and a funny.

Thanks for a great shopping experience.”

“One of the best assortments of vintage clothing out there. Especially great that he deals in so much menswear. David is a very knowledgeable and fair guy and constantly adds new items to his inventory. Definitely check it out!”

“Mesh is my favorite vintage store in Philly and possibly on the planet! I have been shopping here for years, and owe this store for probably half of my wardrobe. Mesh is a seriously rare breed these days - a curated store of all vintage pieces, with pricing that actually allows you to buy and enjoy things!! Harder and harder to find in this era of online vintage resale and exclusive pricing. The owner of this store puts SO much work into sourcing everything and running this shop. Have found gems from the 1910's - 1980's here, casual stuff., jeans, formal wear, dresses, shoes etc. My friends and I are all obsessed with this store. Do not miss out.”

“This is a very nice thrift that is black-owned and woman-owned in West Philly. I found they had a nice selection of items and it was well-lit and clean. They had a variety of things they were selling including clothing, shoes, furniture and various other knick-knacks. The owner was nice enough to provide information when I asked about the prices, and I'm excited to return when I have more time on my hands!”

“Great high end boutique with hard to find clothes from bygone era of 50-70s. Great prices, highly quality items in spite of their age. Very happy I’ve found it. This is what I’ve got:). Mink fur, and the entire outfit for an evening out:).”

“If you are a avid thrifter like me, this is the place to go. You never know what you will find. Selection is fair. Some days you have more than others. Some days it's hit or miss. But that's why we thrift right? I love going right after they unload a haul. The owner Rob is a decent, hardworking, family man and upstanding member of the community. I have personally seen him help many customers, including myself. There is a genuiness and humility that comes from being an Irish Kenzo, like the owner is. I have nothing but good things to say him and will continue to shop here. I'm a regular, of course. Akita, the beautiful Moroccan woman who runs the shop is surely a gem. She's a sweet and kind woman who does a lot for the store and customers. I look forward to seeing her face and the Spanish girl is a sweetheart too. I wanna say Jessie is her name. The guy who moves the furniture around is nice too. I wanna say his name is Mike. And there is another Spanish woman who has short hair whose nice as well. All around score going here ☘️”

“I’ve been to A LOT of shops. Though not for the bargain hunter, all prices are fair. Most varies, unique, and cool shop I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to idk 100-200+”

“I absolutely love Retrospect, they are one of the only thrift stores like this in center city. The staff is amazing and always helpful. BUT, the ever- increasing prices are making me not want to continue shopping here… especially when you know that it’s a GOODWILL front shop. The staff shops the goodwill warehouses and then they mark in up in a south Philly-boutique-style thrift atmosphere ?? the other day I picked up a $34 lamp with a $2.99 goodwill sticker on the bottom and was in shock ??”

“#46 of 100. Great little vintage and consignment shop with cute clothes and actually some higher end items. Saw Chanel, Gucci, and a few other designer brands. Given the location, there is a chance they could be real . Prices were decent and although I didn't walk away with anything , if lived in the area would probably think of selling items for consignment.”
