I came into Unique Photo looking to get some insight on why my thrifted film camera hadn’t been working….. after working with Chris, we both determined that my camera might not be functional anymore. However, Chris was so patient and kind! He even showed me the film camera that were currently in stock at their store.
I ended up leaving with cutest Kodak Point and Shoot camera. I love this camera so much, I take it everywhere! Special shoutout to Chris!

I was at the Philadelphia location and both Brandon and Lucas were very kind and very knowledgeable they took time with both myself and other customers and sold me some great gear .... If you're in this location look for these two they were amazing and you will be in good hands

Made an order through PayPal. Received a notification the next day from PayPal, not Unique Photo that there was a refund issued. Status on merchant website still says ‘in process’. I called the company and spoke with a rep who said it was cancelled due to automated fraud system. That doesn’t make one bit of sense. The guy says I could either pay with a credit card or come in. I asked him if they even have the item in stock. He says it’s back ordered. No where on their website does it say the item is back ordered or that it’s not in stock. The he says, “ok, is there anything else I can help you with”. For a small business, you need to do better.

I had such a great experience last week purchasing my new Canon R7 mirrorless. Top-notch guidance by the store manager. He was with me for an hour helping me decide which camera was the best match for me. I had originally considered buying a camera at Best Buy, but the prices were the same and BB had no one around to help and would not have known anything about the cameras anyway.

Wasn't told until I called in 5 Days after I dropped of my film, that the location currently has a 2-3 week turnaround time on film development. If I had known that/If the information was available online/ or even if I had been told on drop-off that that was going to be the case I would have just gone to a different film shop. To fair I'm pretty sure that's the point since when I asked if this information was or could be available online- I was told no but that they'd bubble up that feedback to the managers. Getting the feeling I'm no the first or last person to be frustrated. Looks like i'll be going somewhere else for the rest of my development needs since a month is crazy for a local shop.

First and foremost This review comes from just frustration. I didn’t want to give you too many low stars because at the end of the day you are a small business and personally, I feel like it would be rude to tank your ratings.
I don’t know what it is, but I have been here twice now to drop off film to get developed (1st time I had one roll and the 2nd time I had three rolls). There is no like email confirmation that you dropped off a role, there’s no progress tracking, and most importantly there’s no way to tell how long it’s going to take to get your film developed. The first time I dropped off film it took two and a half weeks to get me one roll. I wouldn’t have known it was even going to take that long until I called them well into the first week asking if there was an update on it. They said were cleaning the machines or something. How could you let people drop off film and not tell them something as important as that! Two and a half weeks is an insanely long time for film development. I recently dropped off my three film rolls and it has been almost a week with no updates. #1 I find it hard to believe that it seriously takes that long to develop film and #2 you should tell people how long it is going to take when they drop it off. If you wait until a certain amount of people drop off film to develop it all in bulk I can understand, but again transparency is important. I have gone to several other film labs in the city and none of them have made me wait more than 4 days Maximum. I took a chance twice with unique photo because it is close to my job and each time I’m severely disappointed in the turn around time and lack of transparency.
Today I called to see where my second round of film was in regard to development and I got a new answer of “7-10 days”. This is now the third time someone has told me a different amount of days. It’s just frustrating knowing there’s no consistency and transparency tbh.
To make the long story short. If you want a fast turnaround time for film development this is not your place. It looks amazing for rentals and community events and everything else, but for development? No.

We had an amazing experience at Unique Photo. Brandon helped find equipment we were not familiar with and sold us only what we needed and then helped us out to the car with it. He was knowledgable and friendly. The next day, we had questions assembling some equipment and called back. We spoke to Chris who talked us patiently through the process of assembling. I cannot say enough about the amazing service at this store. They have everything, do not oversell you, and are extremely helpful --even going well above and beyond what is expected to make sure that you are set with your purchase. This is the best store for camera equipment we have ever experienced.

This is my go-to camera shop. I've come here for equipment, accessories, and just general camera/photography questions. I've been to other camera shops where the staff was a bit condescending and have made me feel like I was asking dumb questions. The staff at Unique Photo is always friendly and super helpful. I never hesitate to visit when in need.
