I came here at a friend’s recommended.
My black hair was grown to shoulder length and past that was bleached hair going down to my chest and was super damaged. Sarah was super honest with me about my hair goals and how impossible it might be and gave me the option to not go ahead.
After some discussion I decided to go ahead anyway. It turned out very well. I went from black hair to bleached blonde in one session. Sarah and Kim worked super fast together getting all my hair done in foils. They were also very funny! We laughed a lot!
I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking to get your hair bleached. I got my hair bleached with minimal damage. :)

Sarah is a master at what she does! It takes some effort to make an appointment since she books up so fast and usually wants an in-person consultation before booking but she's definitely worth it. She'll ask you lots of questions so come prepared with pictures and a good idea of what you want. Depending on what you want her services take hours and hours but you leave with hair you've never been happier about. I've gotten so many compliments from friends and even strangers on the street. Her salon is bare bones in comparison to a higher end salon but she has everything you need. Don't come expecting to be pampered but you'll leave with great hair. Her prices are reasonable considering what you get as an end result but higher than a normal neighborhood salon. For over 8 hours of chair time, my cut and balayage was $350. A tone (with two color mixes was $120).

Great stylist, but crappy salon service. This place is also in a low income area and she charges a lot. It's not easy finding parking at times and you also have to worry about getting broken into. Her husband is the "receptionist" and they have changed my appointment several times (I booked 3 months in advance). I was turned away and I don't even live in this city of filth. You would think if she had to cancel she would call right? Nope! Once I was stuck hearing her upset and stressed over some personal drama which she could have taken care of after my service. Sucks that she's great with hair, but they need to work on their customer service more and hire a proper receptionist who doesn't sound so timid. Salon itself could use some updating and get rid of the cheap ikea and used beauty school furniture.

Sal gives great haircuts for cheap. However, Beware! It's only Sal cutting hair for the guys so if theres more than 2 people be prepared to wait awhile. Maybe even take a nap or read a whole novel.

I got a recommendation from my cousin to check this place out. They do a wonderful job with her hair. I went to the IG profile, which had no scheduling or contact information. See the exchange below to make your own assessment if you would like. Sept 6: I sent DM inquiring about a possible service for my hair. Sent a photo of what I wanted a description of my current hair status. Sept 10: Salon replies asking for photo of my hair, which I send shortly after. She proceeds to ask about my hair dye history, I sent a paragraph. No reply from salon. Sept 18: I reach out for a follow up from our last conversation. No reply. Sept 28: Salon replies, vaguely apologizing for delay of response, but asks if I was still interested in an appointment. We actually have a considerably substantial exchange, compared to our previous conversations, about my hair goals and how realistically this can be achieved. Salon asks how light I was before dyeing it black. Sept 30: I reply with my hair condition before the dye. Oct 2: Salon replies. Does not respond to what I asked about my hair or establish a path forward. Asks me if I still want an appointment and that what I want starts at $300. Oct 4: I send a final response thanking the salon for their reply and providing more details about my hair for their assessment, continued with saying I'll contact them if I decided to move forward with an appointment. No reply. It took almost a month after my first message to only end up not making an appointment, seriously? The exceptional delays in replies coupled with the lack of acknowledgement or apology for said delays completely turned me off. Additionally, I was made to feel like this salon was doing me a favor just by considering to take me on as a client. If anything, I was the one trying to be too nice and understanding and justifying their delays. This was greatly disappointing as I'm sure that they would've done a great job, but I'll never know. I ended up finding another colorist who was featured many times on prominent hair pages, who replied to my messages within the same day and answered my questions being honest about the feasibility and price of my hair goals, started at $250. Oh well, it is what it is.

Sarah is great with coloring hair! If you want the trendy colors, she is the one to go to! She takes her time and she is real with you in regard to the integrity of your hair. She will tell you if what you want will fry your hair off and will tell you it will take more than one session.
