I had my wedding last summer and knew I wanted to do my dress shopping with my family and friends in Philly even though I don't live there anymore AND wasn't having the wedding nearby either. So I needed a one stop shop where I was confident I would find something I loved and could buy that day to take back on the plane with me. The Sample Rack was the perfect option.Bethany worked me over email to make sure I had my appointment scheduled for the weekend I would be in town for my bachelorette party. I had some ideas of what I was looking for, but she really listened as I tried on each dress and said what I was liking and not liking. In the end the dress I fell in love with was one that she picked out for me to try, it was not at all like I had imagined originally but she had picked out the perfect fit based on my feedback from trying on the dresses I thought I would like!I bought the dress and had it fitted elsewhere, on my wedding day I felt like a sexy yet elegant princess and to top it all off it was a great price. Thanks so much, I highly recommend the Sample Rack!

This place is just phenomenal. It was our second shop on the hunt for my sister in-law-to-be’s perfect dress. Rosemary was absolutely exceptional and made the experience amazing! My sister chose the most beautiful dress and I could not be more excited for her! I am bringing ALL of my friends here when they are getting married.I worked in bridal for a while, and I know that there are a lot of shops in the Philly and bucks county area that can be a little untrustworthy. I can say with full confidence that this is not one of those places. If you’re looking for a dress, do not hesitate to stop here!It was a true blessing of an experience. This was my 1st time trying on wedding dresses and Bethany was FANTASTIC. I'm an anxious shopper normally so I was expecting to have a hard time trying on wedding dresses, but Bethany made it much less daunting and a very comfortable experience. You can tell she really takes an interest in each and every dress and excels at narrowing down what you do and don't like. Haven't found my dress yet (turns out I like two kinds of dresses on me and they have NOTHING in common so it's a hard choice haha) but I walked away from that first appointment with a much better feeling and understanding than I did walking in. Everyone should check out The Sample Rack if they're dress shopping!

As someone who strongly dislikes shopping, I was originally going to buy a wedding dress through Etsy. However, I decided to stop by The Sample Rack on a whim based on their good reviews, and am SO glad I did! Bethany was absolutely fantastic to work with - super flexible and genuinely kind. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate, with zero pushiness; I never once felt pressured to make a purchase or have a stereotypical "say yes to the dress" moment/experience, which just isn't "me". Ultimately, I walked away with an amazing deal on a gorgeous designer gown that fit me almost perfectly off-the-rack. I highly, highly recommend looking for a dress here!

This was the third shop I went to and had the best experience. I ended up getting my dress here and it was absolutely beautiful, I got a huge savings, and I received so many compliments. The dress was not something I was looking for and thankfully the consultant helping let me look through the dresses with her and I looked at it and hesitated but she encouraged me to try since I stopped on it and hesitated and am so glad she did! I would recommend The Sample Rack to any bride to be looking for her dress!

This was my 4th shop that I went to. Quite honestly, this is the best spot I have ever found. Phoebe truly means the world! I sent her pictures for inspiration 15 minutes prior to my appointment and when I walked in she already had 2 dresses picked out that were my top picks. She truly did pick out the dress of my dreams and was so supportive along the way. She has a personal touch that I find is such an art! Thank you so much!!!!

This was the first store I booked to look at wedding dresses with my best friend and I found my gorgeous dress here! Owner was so helpful and accommodating. I explained my vision of wanting a conservative mermaid dress and he found the perfect one. He gave me the number to a great seamstress he works with to put the final touches on! Highly recommend this cute shop ❤️

Such a great experience! This store and the staff are incredible. They have a large selection and the prices are very reasonable. Its also really nice to be able to try on dresses in your actual size. I had a hard time envisioning my dress since traditional bridal shop try-on gowns are usually multiple sizes too big on me. Also they do not make you feel pressured and encourage you to come back a second time if you don't find your dress the first time, as their stock is constantly changing (I found my dress on the second visit!).

The service was good and although the dresses are a sample they were in good to new like condition, I didn’t get my dress from there as the style there weren’t my favorite

I made an appointment to try on wedding dresses and met with Bethany. She was amazing. Super low stress, 0 pressure, and helped me find different options that were in keeping with my preferences and budget. I have a while before my wedding and am going to think about it for a while, but they have beautiful gowns that surely would cost a lot more bought from a regular bridal shop—all were really high quality. I was a bit anxious going in that I would be pressured to make a decision on the spot or to try on dresses I wasn’t into, and that was not at all the case. I also appreciated that Bethany was very knowledgeable about wedding dresses, how they’re structured, and what alterations would or would not make sense with the dresses I looked at — she answered all my questions patiently, which I appreciated as this is not my wheelhouse. If I don’t make up my mind about the dresses I saw in time before they go, I will definitely go back for a second look. Thanks for being so nice!

I had a great experience at the Sample Rack. Jordan helped me and she was very friendly and easy to work with. I let her pick dresses that she thought would work for me although I wanted a ballgown silhouette. She selected a few and was very understanding when I asked for more to try on. She was also respectful of my budget. I ended up finding a gorgeous gown that I got to leave with that day. Don't let the sample part scare you. The dresses were all in great shape. I was also pleasantly surprised at the selection-they had a wide range of dresses from different designers and in different silhouettes. Tips: These are designer wedding gowns that are discounted but that doesn't mean they're necessarily cheap. I've seen in other reviews where potential brides have complained about the cost of the dresses-they are discounted. -This is a sample store so if you're definitely interested in a particular dress or designer you might be better off going with a bridal salon.

Well first, I got my dress!!!! Caroline was very sweet and made me feel extremely comfortable. I was the only one in the store for my appointment, I was able to walk around and see different lighting which I appreciated. I experienced a lot of different emotions when I did find the dress I ended up buying and Caroline never made me feel like I was weird or anything. I recommend this store!

I scheduled an appointment and was excited to visit. There was unexpectedly a double booking but that didn't change the experience at all. Jim, the owner, was called in due to this and he was AMAZING! He listened to my requests and pulled various options. This was only my 2nd experience at a bridal shop and he made everything clear, as well as made myself and my mother comfortable. It was such a pleasure working with him! The best part is getting to take the dress home that day. I can't recommend The Sample Rack enough!! The dresses are of the highest quality and the employees are knowledgeable and inviting.

I’m sooooo happy I went to the Sample Rack! Wish I would’ve went there first. First off, I absolutely love my dress. It was one of my fav parts of the wedding process. Rose was very helpful too. She called a day or so prior to the appointment to get a sense of what I wanted. She gave me many options of dresses I thought I may like. At one point, after trying several dresses, she said tell me what you like instead of what you don’t like which I thought was very, very smart. Very different from the other dress lady at another place who was obviously tired of me. The last dress I tried on was STUNNING ?. It’s really in the details. The only thing I wish I would’ve known is that if I paid cash, I would’ve saved some money and that’s important because alterations are expensive AF???? especially with a dress like this beauty. They did give me a couple suggestions of people who did alterations, but they were booked so if you go, and I suggest you definitely go, book your appointment (or try) with someone who can do your alterations ASAP. Thanks so much Rose for helping me say hell yes to the dress! ?
