Such a special place. My son - a middle school student, lover of history and geography - has found a place in the Philadelphia Print Shop to share his interests with other like-minded friends. The Print Shop is so generous to him and his friends, sharing their knowledge of maps and history, and welcoming the kids.

This place is a TREASURE! Such a wonderful shop filled with endlessly interesting maps, books and art prints. Men and women of all ages are bound to find something unique here. The shop is well organized and the owners are passionate and helpful! Parking is simple and there is a ramp if you can't do stairs. Definitely returning again and again!

I recently purchased a map at the Philadelphia Print Shop. The owner, David Mackey, was not only very knowledgeable of maps, but of the area in general. He researched and aided in every way possible from my first call. My map was packaged perfectly secured and came with framing recommendations/instructions. David is passionate about maps and history and that passion carries over into customer service. I highly recommend the Philadelphia Print Shop to anyone interested in old maps, rare books and history.

My husband and I were looking for a map to give to our daughter and son-in-law for Christmas. We reached out to Dave for his knowledge and assistance. He promptly contacted us and offered us two options which showed their neighborhood in Strafford Village. Our children were thrilled with the map. Such a wonderful space, with a treasure trove of gorgeous prints. I brought them an antique print of Philadelphia that had been in my family for generations. But truthfully I never appreciated the print, and kept it stored for years. I reached out to David for guidance. I brought the print into the store and was truly overwhelmed by their knowledge. I ended up leaving it on consignment and in under two months it sold. The advertising and research they did on the print far surpassed my expectations. As a result the print sold for a remarkable price to someone who has a true passion for early Philadelphia prints. I cannot recommend this store highly enough.

GREAT EXPERIENCE! I had purchased an item from their store online a few years ago, so I wanted to stop by during a work trip to Philadelphia. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jane was very helpful and assisted me with finding several maps/prints of specific areas of the country.

I love this place! I haven't had the same experience that others had about being assessed based on social class. In fact, I bought my very first piece of artwork here twenty years ago when I was fifteen years old and shopping with babysitting money. I still have, and love, that piece. The owner was just as helpful then, when I was a teenager, as he was when I visited last weekend with a girlfriend. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and loves to talk about the artwork and prints. So go in curious, get lost, ask questions, spend time. There are so many beautiful unique items in this store; there really is something for everyone. Old maps of the countries your ancestors came from, beautiful original botanical prints, illustrations from Vanity Fair, blueprints for historic buildings all over the world. We ended up buying two small pieces. But it wasn't the sale that the owner seemed most pleased about; it was our enthusiasm about the store. He said he hoped we would come back again, even just to look.

I have been a customer of the Philadelphia Print Shop for almost 20 years. My experience has been great: exceptional inventory, exceptional knowledge and outstanding customer service. As I sit here in my old Washington DC home I can see almost a dozen purchases, all of which I treasure. I highly recommend.
