Worst experience of my life. On Friday, I showed up and was constantly harassed and pressed by security and eventually kicked out. I understand that every building has their rules but I would have never put me nor my client in a situation like this if I knew the outcome. This is a very horrible look for your business. I called the number attached to your google business page and was given “permission” if I knew this “permission” was a lie than I would have never shown up. We were constantly harassed by two older female black security guards.

DON'T DO IT!!The beauty of the internet age is that you get an opportunity to voice your dissatisfaction of a company and can hopefully save others from making a mistake. In this case, i would urge the reader not to use Constellation Culinary Group at the Curtis Atrium. The venue is beautiful. My office is located one block away. I always wanted to make a wedding at the venue - before the space was available for events.I have made other six figure parties in my life. Never before have i felt the wrath of corporate culture. All along i felt that the process was all about corporate revenue and profits and corporate employees working to maximize profits and their own commissions and/or bonus.Everything was nickel and dime to the point of ridiculousness. At a base price beginning at $250.00++ per person one would think that pleasing the customer client is most important. I never felt this this way. At all!To begin with, the bar package at $50.00 is low grade commercial brands. The upgraded premium bar at an additional $10.00 was still not premium selections. I asked to switch out some brands and add red bull and and espresso (which was a mix and not the real thing). I was told this could be done for an additional $18.00 per person on top of the $10.00 up-charge for the premium bar. To clarify, that was to cost $5600.00 more (on top of the basic $10,000.00 bar package) for changes that cost perhaps $750.00 to implement.Another issue was the groom wanted to replace Yards IPA with Yards Pale Ale. Both beers are the same price and certainly available from the same source. The price for this change was $3.00 per person - $600.00! In total, maybe $150.00 worth of beer would be consumed in total and Constellation wanted an extra $600.00 additional to make a simple change of Pale Ale in place of an IPA which would not have cost any more. The reason for this review is beyond the petty and ridiculous bar charges. In the contract, it specified that two entrees snd a vegetarian option were included. Filet Mignon was offered for a up-charge. This is understandable. We chose to offer filet as one of the three choices. In the final contract the up-charge was added to every guest and not to the number of guests who ordered Filet Mignon. My daughter, the Bride, caught this "mistake". She was told it was not a mistake. Yes, every guest was charged an up-charge for Filet - even those who did not order it!As i said at the outset, corporate mentality at every level and at every opportunity.I am an old time small business owner. I work for my customers. I often do things at cost or incur a non compensated expense in order to please and satisfy clients. That is my mission. In the case of Constellation Culinary Group, I always felt that my overall satisfaction was always secondary to profits.Deal with Constellation Culinary Group at your own peril. Or make a better choice (Hopefully without an up-charge).It is very sad to see one of Stephen Starr's creations get destroyed. As I said, the venue is beautiful. But it is the people who make the party. And these people just don’t get it..

I've never felt compelled to write a review of a wedding venue. My niece was married there just last night. Hands down a PERFECT EVENT. The staff couldn't do enough. They were so friendly. The food and drinks were TOP NOTCH. I just spoke with my sister (mother of the bride), and she said she is still on a high. Well done! A perfect elegant evening paired with a friendly and professional staff. Not to mention a stunning facility.

I'd like to draw the owner of the place's attention to the security people that for some reason decided to be waaaay too rude and unnecessarily aggressive today, 10/14, somewhere about 6pm.Our team took care of the wedding that is being held there today, right now. As part of the team, I had to go back and forth to bring or remove our props or flowers or whatever. At one point, two guards, a woman and a man, approached me to find out who I was and why I was there. It's worth mentioning that NONE of their inquiries could be called polite. Since English is not my native language, I explained as much as I could and offered to talk to my supervisor that was present at the place at that time.Instead they refused to see the person and were commanding and trying to drag me away from my team, stopping me from going where I needed to go. People working in a prison behave like that. I was not a guest of the place but I was their guest's contractor, I had every right to be there and these bullying workers' behavior was completely unacceptable and disrespectful.

The best place to take pictures & have wedding receptions. There's are little restaurants inside too that serve great food! The building has other companies upstairs but I stayed mostly on the ground floor!

I would give the Curtis Atrium negative 5 stars if possible. I have assisted with the planning of 5 weddings over the past 10 years. My most recent wedding was my daughters at the Ballroom at the Ben in Philadelphia. My oldest son was married at the Merion in Cinnaminson, NJ. (both top notch venues). I'm a former restaurateur and currently teach culinary arts at a vocational high school. I've never dealt with a wedding coordinator as unprofessional as Lisa. She does not return emails, and if she does the email is always late. My wife and I met with Lisa, my son, and fiancé on Saturday, May 29th. I don't even know where to begin. For $250 per head on a Saturday, you would think everything would be top of the line. Not so. Three beers are offered, one IPA, Yuengling Lager, and Michelob Ultra. I asked if we could add two beers and was told yes with an additional cost. I asked if we could switch two of the beers and was told yes at an additional cost. The bar for cocktail hour and the wedding is not the premium package. Again, for $250 per head a premium bar should be a given. Most of the men in our family drink Crown Royal and my son wanted a Crown Royal Manhattan as a signature cocktail. I asked if we could swap out the Seagram's 7, which is a very low end whiskey, to Crown Royal. Of course I could, at an additional cost. Cordials were not even listed. For cocktail hour, there are a measly 8 passed hors d oeuvres. I asked if we could add 2 more. Of course I could, at an additional cost. The selections for beef on the dinner had prime rib and filet mignon for an additional $10. Here we are at that $250 per head saga. The room for the reception is an additional $3500. Lisa told us the room is sometimes dark in November. For an additional $2500 we could upgrade the lighting. Lisa was unfriendly towards me with these simple requests and replied several times "Ill have to check with my people" All of the wedding coordinators I've dealt with over the years did not have to "check with their people". Lisa also spoke negatively about Finley Catering when I told her my daughter was married at The Ballroom at the Ben, which was truly AMAZING! (very unprofessional). I'm saving the best for last. My future daughter in law asked Lisa at least 3 or 4 times to keep a soft hold on the date. Upon departure, my wife asked if there was a soft hold on the date. Lisa responded like she didn't even know what a soft hold was. She then proceeded to inform us that there was no soft hold and if anyone were to put a deposit on the date we would lose the date. Not even a courtesy phone call or email would be given. Today is Wednesday, May 3rd, and still no contact from Lisa after meeting with "her people" We met with Lisa with the intent of paying a deposit to lock in the date. My daughter in law left in tears. The venue is absolutely beautiful. However, The Curtis really should look at how business should be professionally handled. For the prices they charge, everything should be top of the line and MINOR requests should be granted without "checking with my people!!
