I have known the owner Thupten Chonyi for almost 20 years. He is an honorable hardworking man, who over the years, has established a small cultural jewel with his shop, filled with beautiful hand made clothing and lovely crafts from Nepal and Tibet. I recommend the quality and uniqueness his wares, and the experience of his kindness and warmth.

Stopped in here randomly because I smelled the incenses roaming outside so I was automatically drawn in by the smell. This place has it all--A lot of healing and spiritual items, but the accessories and jewelry was what caught my eye most because most of them are handmade, and a from all around the world. My mom and I both got Onyx stone bracelets which the lady at the store was nice enough to explain the meanings for--Mines meant grounding, protection, and self-control, and as a shield against negative energy. The lady even taught us how to use the singing bowls which are used for healing and meditation. I feel like I learned so much during my visit here, and would definitely come here to get a meaningful gift for a friend in the future. Thanks Sunrise in Tribet!

Stopped in on my walk thru on Main Street. This place is tiny but mighty, So many gems literally. They sell everything from cocktail clutches, jewelry, stones, meditation bowls, incense, hats, scarfs, head wraps , oils, just everything ! Learned abt some of the stones. An where they originated from. Got a little history lesson also on Tibet. Check it out plenty to see !

I wish the owners would focus on the beauty of their Tibetan items instead of displaying t-shirts with racist hate symbols, such as anti-Semitic and anti-Chinese tropes. A real shame that brings ugliness to Main St. in Manayunk. I hope the owners can stop subjecting the public to such heinous ideas!

There are many interesting items available...incense and holders, warm gloves, colorful hats and scarves ...to name a few. The singing bowls are beautiful and they sound beautiful too. The owner is a lovely, warm-hearted, gentle man.

What a great place ! Wonderful and peaceful environment, you breath inside and get spiritually elevated right away! Meditation appliances, incense, clothes, tibetan jewelry. Don’t miss Dalai Lama sayings in small tankas in the corridor.

Sunrise In Tibet is such a unique and cool little store. Most of the items are hand crafted in Nepal and are of a high quality, despite being very reasonably priced. I bought my wife several pairs of earrings and myself a pendant that we both wear on special occasions. The craftsmanship of both items are an element that's hard to come by these days. You can tell a lot of time and pride were put into them, given their solid construction and unique designs. There are so many beautiful and exotic items that it's hard to make a purchase decision...so give yourself some time to browse.

Very cool find. I've been to many of these Tibetan stores in NYC and this one excels in women's dresses. The back room had a variety of dresses that my girlfriend really liked. They are certainly trendier and more fashionable than the ones you'll see in New York City. Great gift store overall with a plethora of merchandise.

The guy running the store is a tricky old man who will try to overcharge you, so make sure you're watching his tiny calculator screen when he's adding up your multiple itemed purchases.

This is a small gem of a store, whose unassuming exterior is deceptive. It is actually a small piece of Tibet. The owner is active in the Tibetan Community and supports his countrymen and women in many ways. When you shop at Sunrise in Tibet, you are benefiting the same community. His goods are varied, from awesome antique Tibetan sculptures, to wool jackets for winter, to silver jewelry, all reasonably priced and beautiful.
