They enforce a receipt checking policy. they do not announce this. i only bought a few things so i left mine at the self checkout. security made me walk the width of the store back to the self checkout area to get my receipt rather than just let me leave.

You would think going into self checkout that you wouldn’t be dealt misfortune by an employee, however that may not be the case. I waited in the self checkout line and so was a gentleman before me, so being the second and only other person in the checkout line, I was standing closer to the side where all the self checkout machines were. This female employee at the Alcohol register told me “Ma’am, the line starts behind that man.” What shall I do but stand in line like a well mannered customer after being corrected? So I stand behind the man. I am constantly scanning the checkouts for an available one or green light above it. There is an open machine but another customer was already there and they were finished but still bagging their groceries. I did not want to be ill-mannered and stand right behind her as she was putting her groceries away. Then another customer rudely walks straight up to the open checkout machine. Where was the same employee standing at the Alcohol register? She was there. Yes, she saw what had happened, and still she cared not to correct the lady that cut the line in front of me. The employee did not say a single word to her. This isn’t my regular Shoprite location I frequent, so I was seriously considering putting all of my groceries down on a counter- chicken and produce- which should be refrigerated, and just leave without purchasing any groceries. It baffles me how she can correct me, yet not the other customer? This makes me wonder if it was racially motivated. I will not be coming here again.

I like this ShopRite, but they definitely don't offer great customer service here! I've seen too many incidents over the years involving employees and customers.

The bowl and basket milk, goes bad before the expiration date,, I purchased this milk and this is the 2 nd this has happened. Just a warning for you all.

My favorite market. Normally have everything I need. Fresh food, good prices and nice employees. Sometimes parking is meh, but it's a busy store.

Perfect example of how minorities are subjected to terrible shopping options and businesses that don’t appreciate their money. I used to shop here for many years and I was just reminded why I stopped coming here. From being harassed by thirsty “men” in the aisles, to the rude workers, to the fact that you have to stand in a second line to get your receipt checked as proof you don’t steal. I only needed one item, and this store was on my route. I knew not to come here, but told myself that 5 minutes in the store wouldn’t hurt. Never again! I’ll spend the extra gas money to not go to ShopRite prison. Ghetto!

Be very careful of aggressive, dangerous, rude drivers in a poorly designed parking lot. The best time to avoid all the crowds is first thing in the morning.

Worst shopping experience of my life .floors are dirty..and at one point I swore none worked there .I kept asking for help and the lady with her head scarf(worked there) was 5ft away from me. A while 20min.. I almost screamed from furry..that lady would come over do one thing and back to her podium..am latin and swore them black people were being racist against me and my girl..
Thank God for kind customers..but they too seemed scared shopping in there??♀️..NEVER AGAIN!! BESIDES THE FACT THAT IVE NEVER SEENED SUCH A MESS IN SHOP RITE.NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NO HELP.WORST EXPERIENCE OFF NY LIFE!!

Each ShopRite is different. I liked the large variety of products, low prices & service here. I've shopped a few other ShopRite stores. But, this was my first visit you l to this location. I recommend this ShopRite to others, especially this location.
