Store is great but Chrissy at customer service has a nasty attitude and is always huffing & puffing

They didn't have everything I wanted, specifically house plants and oyster sauce, and the customer service rep was rude, but, overall a good experience.

While I was at self checkout, I asked the lady tending to self checkout if I could pay with 2 different cards on her register. She kept telling me I can't do it on the machine and that she doesn't have a till and that I gotta go to the cashier. I'm trying to explain to her that I did so before and she just repeated herself being dismissive and incompetent. Mind you, you don't need a till to take card payments. Therefore, she could've took my payment but she chose not too. Your staff needs to be retrained.Previous visit:Umpteenth time I had to deal with a dirty shopping cart and didn't realize it until it was too late. And the clean cart arch is to no avail. The shopping carts need to be pressure sprayed with hot water but that's too far fetched and too much to ask for.

Good customer service, long lines but they move fast, usually have what you need, produce seems to always be fresh, good organic selection

Never a customer service worker. Always have to wait 10 mins for a worker.

I love when cashiers wobble away from the computer at the center of the checkout lanes, then tell me "you could've gone to self checkout..." because I had two items and opted to not use self checkout. The older cashier was upset because she was required to perform her duties as a cashier.Sunday morning, February 4th at 7:00amShe proceeded to ask me why I didn't go to self checkout. I explained to her that Shop Rite doesn't give me any incentives to scan my own items, nor does shop rite pay me to scan my own items. Confused, the cashier tried selling me on the efficiency and speed of self checkout. To which I reminded her that self checkouts are the causes of merchandise theft and staff shortages. The cashier told me they are short-staffed on cashiers and are actively hiring. She was visibly disgusted at me for deciding on human interaction rather than digital interaction. If I were to make a suggestion, I would suggest training on interpersonal communication for employees so that old, frumpy, barely able to walk without holding up the snack and soda displays, cashiers can better communicate with customers in the early morning hours. I didn't appreciate her disdain for her JOB (J.ust O.ver B.roke) or her disdain for the customer. It's sad that an employee can move in this manner and speak to customers with such disregard.

DAIRY REVIEW ONLYDO NOT BUY 2% GALLONS AT THIS STORE. Serious dairy neglect at this store. I used to love this store, but recently have purchased EIGHT gallons of 2% milk in a row that are dated fine, but are spoiled. Clearly there was an outage or a delivery was left out of refrigeration for a day before being put away, and instead of tossing it, they assumed we would buy it. Well they were right, and it’s disgusting, both in principle and for the customers health and wallets. One every so often is understandable, but this is neglect on a massive scale. I’ve been a long time customer here, and will now be going elsewhere. It’s disturbing, and there is no possible way that I’m the only person this is affecting. Buy your milk elsewhere. At $5/gallon, I’ve wasted $40. Why a store would continuously put out bad dairy like this is unfathomable.

The butcher at Shoprite named Gibson, hopefully I spelled his name correctly, but he was in the midst of training a younger employee, and took my large order, while still training, and managing demanding customers, he still kept his professional hat on...please hand him a raise!
