This is probably one of the most elegant and beautiful shops I have run across in a while. I ordered a few things from here and all has been of the utmost quality and lovely. My communications with them have been great. I made a mistake while placing an order online and they were very proactive in helping me get it fixed! Will definitely be ordering from here again!

Carefully curated high quality items, aesthetically pleasing, useful and functional. I haven't visited the store but have placed a couple of online orders that were mostly gifts for friends. Recently I had to adjust a large order after placing it (one item was unneeded) and staff was able to catch it in time before sending it, issued a refund quickly and saved me the hassle of making a return. Whew!Receiving the box just a few days after placing the order is a real pleasure- just the logo alone you know it's something very special... opening it another treat. It's immediately apparent how much attention and nuanced care they place in every order, no matter the size. I greatly appreciate this, adore the items- as do my friends who know Japanese items are often functional works of art made by artists who care for their work and take great pride in it- as they should. Happy repeat customer. Thank you. ?

Some of their items show fragility with very little use, couldn't get proper support for them either. Expectation is only due to the price being high.

We did the tea and matcha tasting workshop and it was wonderful! The owner Kaz is very nice and knows a lot about different kinds of teas. The atmosphere was cozy and had that perfect Japanese vibe where you forget for a moment that you’re in America! The shop is also very cute. I bought matcha and a card. I want to come back and buy more Japanese goods in the future. Highly recommend the workshop and classes.

I am obsessed with this store. Everything they have is top quality and artistic for your home. I shopped online, and asked for a last minute change to my order. They gave me a refund for the price difference and it shipped super fast. They are really helping me make my home just what I want it to be.

I have not visited the actual store, but I attended the Cherry Blossom festival where they had a booth. It was the first booth that caught my eye, and honestly my favorite. The gentleman who was running the stand was very kind. I bought some Matcha for my sister in law, and a exfoliating bath towel with charcoal. I will definitely be purchasing more items on their site and when I make another trip to Philadelphia in a months time, I plan to visit the stores physical location.

Twice in a row I have received flawed products from this otherwise good company. My last order was a ceramic oval platter that is so warped it will not sit on a flat surface withoutrocking. Today I received a white oblongceramic dish that has a black fingerprint inthe glaze at one end of the dish that extendsaround to the back of the dish. Both these flaws are so obvious that any competentpacker should have caught the flaws and rejected the product for shipping. This willsurly be the last order I ever place with thiscompany.W. Hageman

After purchasing an over priced towel that was considered a bath towel (tiny for a bath towel) I used it for 2 months and the threads start to come unraveled and small holes coming through. I sent a video and email to the company. After weeks of no reply I wrote again asking if they got the message? The towels don't even last 60 days. Evan replied and said he will have to tell the owners. Another week went by and no response. For how much money the towel was over $70 I will be sure to NEVER purchase from them again. I spent over $250 worth of items. It's a luxury site with no customer service and no care or concern or taking responsibility for their faulty towels. I highly recommend buying from anyone else but them.

I randomly stumbled across this store on a third date. I was pleasantly surprised, and enjoyed looking around the store. I would say it's a small selection, but worth checking out. They also offer classes on preparing teas. I purchased a paper cutting tool and mat, which were quite reasonable priced. The items were packaged up very nicely.

Attended tea tasting. It was a great experience. Rikumo carries a great selection of teas. I highly recommend the tea tasting events. They are extremely educational and fun.

A beautiful unique shop with high quality goods. Perfect place for a special gift or house warming present. I bought some Matcha and a whisk to make my own match at home. Can't wait to go back for some bathroom accessories when we finish updating our bath.Staff was lovely and helpful. Highly recommend.
