Arrived around 4pm, they close at 6. Walked around the outdoor area, then went inside to see the other half and the sun went down, went back outside and it was a whole other world with string lights and colored light. Very magical after dark!
There is a cool self guided scavenger hunt inside and outside. They have guided tours to other parts of the building as well I think you have to schedule in advance.
Overall a cool experience, it doesn't take long to walk through the general admission area.

There is simply absolute, off the charts whimsy at this place. You really just have to see it for yourself.

Hahaha this is a rather crazy place, which is unlikely to appeal to lovers of high classical art, adherents of neatness and order. In this strange museum, everything is created literally from trash, broken glass, bottles, old kitchen tiles, pieces of bent metal, rims from old bicycles and other garbage.
On the one hand, it is unusual and attracts the eye in the first seconds. On the other hand, it quickly turned into a dumping ground feeling for me. Admission to this "dump" costs $15, essentially for 10 minutes of viewing. Just so you understand, for comparison, admission to the Philadelphia Museum of Art costs $25 and you can’t get around it in a day.

A nice visit overall as a first timer, although I feel the ease of navigating could be improved upon. I’d like a bit more to signal how to move between different areas, flow of traffic was not defined well and it got busy in the outdoor spaces. I think one way walking lanes would be beneficial.
Once there I learned of an option to tour the fully mosaiced basement. For a future visit I would plan to do this or a guided tour, it looks like they have lots of options. Id prefer doing this, as there’s not a ton of the history visibly posted in the spaces. For sake of not detracting from the permanent art I understand the choice to not have too much signage.

My wife wanted to see this place, I wasn't very interested, however once we got there I was blown away. This should definitely be on your to-do list if visiting Philly. Very unique place that there is likely not anything like it anywhere in the world. The customer service was great, they actually let us in the day prior to our tickets. We had planned on going one day and happen to be walking by the day before and the weather was gorgeous, we asked if we could go in a day early and they were great thru that process and allowed us to enter.

Arrived on foot after the museum was already closed. Liked what I saw from the outside! Seems like so much effort, imagination, love and a sense of community went into creating this place.
The indoor museum exhibit is worth it so next time I'm in the area, that is on my list!!

Breathtaking. Pictures don't do it justice. You've gotta see it in person.
I also love that one of the missions of PMG is to support local artists ? There's excellent local art for sale in the gift shop.

This was a big surprise for me. Even museum doesn't take much space, but there so much to see and enjoy. I had a dog waiting for me outside,so I didn't spend as much time as I wished. The whole area around this museum deserves to be explored by art lovers.

A stunning and exciting place!! I came with 3 children aged 8 and 10, they really enjoyed walking around and seeing, we didn't do the guided tour so you can see the place in about half an hour.

Looks very cool, but it's a pretty short visit. 30 min is probably the most
