I stayed here one night for a business trip and had a standard King room.Service: all of the staff I interacted with were extremely kind, enthusiastic, and helpful. The level of customer service was outstanding and a lot better than most hotels, which is extremely refreshing! The valet staff were very attentive and helpful. The woman at the front counter was very professional and thorough when checking-in. I ordered room service and the woman who picked up the phone was very helpful when I needed to alter an order due to a gluten allergy.Room: at first glance the room is pretty nice, an updated style you could tell was renovated at some point. 2 pairs of ear plugs were in the room, which was a little concerning at first, but I didn’t end up needing to use them as I didn’t hear outside noise or noise from other rooms. The room includes a standard single serve coffee maker and a mini fridge. My room phone was non-functional, but I assume that’s probably not the case with all rooms. Plenty of outlets throughout the room.Cleanliness: The bed was nicely done and the sheets seemed clean. The rest of the room had glaring issues when it came to cleanliness including the couch having a major brown caked in stain that had not been cleaned, some sort of intense whitish splatter all along the inside of the bathroom door, hair on the walls of the shower, and the towels smelled a bit funky… like an off almost sour smell and not fresh. The cleanliness is the main reason I only have 3 stars.Fitness center: the fitness center is located on the 4th floor. It’s a relatively large area, including treadmills, stationary bikes, a stair stepper, trx station, 3 machines, a smith machine, 3 benches, dumbbells up to 50 lbs, and a stretching/aerobics area with exercise balls and foam rollers. For a hotel gym, it was pretty nice!Location: it’s a pain in the butt to get here, it’s down some narrow streets and through some cobblestone, but I guess it’s probably convenient. I didn’t go sight seeing so not sure of the safety in surrounding areas. The drivers in this area are aggressive, so if you don’t feel comfortable being tailgated through narrow streets with a light at every block even though you’re going above the speed limit, you may want to just catch an Uber or Lyft.Overall I would probably stay here again, but the cleanliness would be the biggest factor for me looking elsewhere first. The gym was really nice so if it’s leg day I may just bite the bullet and hope I get a cleaner room.

The hotel is disastrously managed. It’s often chaotic. Overbooked. Staff are checked out. Not friendly. Parking service is a nightmare. Years ago before they renovated, the hotel was good. No longer. It’s a lunatic asylum.

We stayed at the Philadelphia Marriott Old City for our wedding weekend and it was great from start to finish! The staff was kind and helpful and were quick to respond to any questions or issues during our planning process. There were multiple weddings staying there that weekend so it created a fun, lively energy throughout the hotel. It was fun socializing with our guests throughout the weekend at the bar in the large lobby. Our suites were spacious and a good size for the bridal parties to get ready in. We also had a casual farewell breakfast the morning after the wedding in the Nicholas Moore room. Highly recommend booking a block of rooms here for you and your guests if you're getting married in Philly!

Don't forget to use HoteIDully.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is one of the best in the area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you won't be disappointed. This is a great hotel in a very quiet part of town. All of the staff were super nice. Unlike other places we've stayed recently, it appeared the hotel was fully staffed. Excellent service. Air conditioning was nice and cool. Won't stay anywhere else in Philadelphia.

Beds were comfy and room was clean but there were 2 issues:1. The doors are so heavy and don't have a quiet mechanism that when other guests from other rooms leave, the door would slam and make a loud noise in the hallway and wake us up. The door noise woke us up twice very early.2. The room was nowhere near cold enough. I'm not sure if the thermostat isn't working properly or if the A/C unit was inefficient but we had it at 65 degrees (the lowest we can set it) and it was still uncomfortably warm all night long. I sleep at home with my thermostat at 70 degrees so I don't like it very cold. This room was just so warm.As you can probably tell, I didn't get a good night's sleep.

The rooms here are clean and large which pairs well with a fantastic location in Old City Philadelphia close to historical sites and many restaurants. You cannot hear much outdoor noise from your room, but you can hear a laughable amount of your fellow hotel goers business without trying which means the walls must be thin. At one point in the evening, it sounded like a small firework show because you could hear all the flushes of the rooms in the building. The hotel was nice but requires maintenance that seems unattended such as slow elevators and water damage in the hallways. Also, there is no pool here even though certain people have uploaded photos of a pool. There was once a pool in this building, but that space is now a large gym.Walkability: Walkable to Penns Landing, Spruce St harbor Park, Independence historical park, and many restaurants in the neighborhood.

Firstly, if you’re using Google to research this hotel - there is NO more pool. There used to be one. The gym must have been a bigger draw because the pool was demolished for a bigger gym. Finding out at the hotel was disappointing- but my fault for not looking at the official page more. The hotel is fairly nice. The main floor is open and bright with seating and separate rooms with TVs. The hallways upstairs are maze like. It was confusing to find our room. Once located it was in a narrow far corner “alley” with 3 or 4 doors all shoved together. We were lucky our neighbors were quiet/non existent. I have a feeling we would have heard everything if there was noise. We liked the room and the layout. The bed was low but very comfortable. The shower was clean with decent pressure. The room has its own air conditioner compressor and the humming and clicking on and off constantly could get annoying. I’m assuming we heard this from other rooms nearby as there were odd clicks happening every so often the whole night. This might bother some people. The location is nice and convenient. Philly is really walkable and this was in a great spot. The parking rates and breakfast charges are pretty expensive- but this could have been in line with other city hotels.

When you are greeted in a room by a note about road construction and a pair of ear plugs it’s not a good start. Luckily, our stay was over a weekend but we still had morning trash pickup and the nightly ‘Philly Grand Prix’ of loud cars racing throughout the streets. We did find the location to be pretty accessible for our stay.
