Not only did it take 3 hours to be serviced when me and my kids went to pick out a cat, it’s now been a week since and we still don’t have our cat. When we went my kids cried about not being able to take the cat home that day , they ask about the cat everyday. I called and asked about getting a cat that’s home ready and I was told I can’t get a refund or apply my payment to another cat just because my cat isn’t ready. I should have read the reviews before going. Horrible

I wanted to have my sick cat checked out. I had my daughter call to see when we could come over they only told her it's first come first serve between 8-3. I leave work and get there around 1:30 to be told their walk-in list is full and they are not seeing any more walk-ins. To come in tomorrow they start signing people up at 7:30 and start seeing people at 8. So the next morning I call in late to work and go over there I get there around 7:45. It was not crowded I signed in like mid sheet so around 9am after I'm watching people walk in a be seen do I ask about my turn to be told oh you probably won't be seen until 11am. At that point my frustration with how they running the clinic got the best of me and I left. I rather pay more money than sit around and watch them pick and choose who gets to be seen. While they give people misinformation. None of the information about walk-in hours are posted or on the website. To have called in and still get misinformation is crazy. This is a horrible experience!!!!!!

Took our cat here to get spayed. They did a good job. I followed instructions on after care, but my Cat did not. She wiggled her way out of her cone overnight in her carrier. I couldn't get it back on her. 2024, we shouldn't have to be using cones. There should be a better option. I tried a surgery suit but I also could not get that on her.

Not a great experience at all. I don’t understand why you have to fill out an application just to see the dogs if you aren’t adopting that day. I specifically stated the dog I wanted to meet and was told by the counselor I could meet him, but then she brings another woman out to explain and discourage the meet. It’s crazy because the dog has not had a meet and greet since arriving in November 2023. How can you decide what’s a good fit if you aren’t letting the dog meet people? So I was prevented from meeting that dog and had other animals pushed on me. It feels like you are discouraged from adopting and they want to choose which animals to let you see. I don’t think it’s fair to allow you to spend 5 minutes with an animal and decide that’s it’s not a right fit. The animals are in a stressful environment and just happy to be outside. I was very disappointed when I left as it feels like you have no choice and they want to choose animals for you.

Had to wait too long to be seen every time I come there. We always have to wait hours. Need to work on that and do better.

So I came here to adopt a cat for my companion, and I brought a friend who was looking to possibly adopt a dog. We waited for two hours still did not see the cats that we wanted and they do not let you walk through and see the dogs. I understand the stress that the dogs go through, but then they need more staff. How on earth are you supposed to adopt the dog that you can see I just didn’t like how this was ran at all.

Came here for vaccines for a stray cat that I’ve been taking care of. It was smooth and quick process!

Pennsylvania SPCA is a place to take animals to be vaccinated and if they are very sick the doctors talk to you and operate on whatever they have.
