Just lovely. The Liberty Bell is a 10-minute walk, which I did yesterday, during which I passed by the Museum of Illusions. They have an Italian restaurant located in the hotel lobby that I didn't visit, but the menu selection looks wonderful. The muffins provided for breakfast look, feel, and taste fresh baked, and the coffee is very good, which I know since I drink it black. The room is clean, aside from a few stray hairs that could have come from the cleaning lady/man. The service is outstanding, over the phone, and in person. The check out time is naturally at noon, which is delightful, and they even lock the front doors at sundown, which I assume is to keep the homeless/junkies out. After all, we are in Philly, lol. It's a decent neighborhood with a multitude of eateries and transportation in walking distance, and a map of the city with the common attractions is provided to you at the front desk.I am beyond satisfied with choosing this hotel! Now excuse me while I get more coffee and another muffin lol.Thank you so much for helping to make my birthday trip a success!!!Rooms: Clean and well designed. I love the rustic feel.Nearby activities: Liberty Bell, Museum of IllusionsSafety: They lock the front door at sundown. Ring the bell to get in.Walkability: Very. Buses and transit near by as well as taxis.Food & drinks: Features an Italian restaurant in the lobby and provides free, fresh breakfast coffee and muffins. There are also plenty of restaurants nearbyNoteworthy details: The customer service is absolutely wonderful.

This place was an adorable, historic charm! Within walking distance or a quick uber ride to many things to do, even outside of Philly. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The whirlpool tub was enjoyable. The restaurant/wine bar was amazing. And staff were all so nice and accommodating. Antonio was just a gem! Will definately book again.

I like this hotel, rooms are comfortable and warm lovely wood floors, Persian rugs. The hotel is on Front Street, just a bit off Market Street but close enough to everything. They have a great restaurant/bar if you just want to relax. I will stay here again.

Excellent hotel, very stylish with great, well sized rooms. It is within walking distance to major attractions and has a paid parking outside.Service was good and although there is no breakfast or food option, there is an attached restaurant which we have not used. There are lots of options around. Reasonably price.Very happy with the choice

Absolutely AMAZING trip in Philly! Room was beautiful and parking next to the hotel was extremely convenient. The staff was incredibly kind despite being short staffed. Ate at the adjoining restaurant for happy hour and it was DELICIOUS (make sure to get the bruschetta!) and the homemade muffins in the morning were a refreshing treat to the stereotypical ‘pastry’ breakfasts at chain hotels. Truly couldn’t imagine a better place to stay for our night in Philly! Would love to revisit and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a gorgeous, clean room in a historic building.Rooms: GORGEOUS riverfront room with a king bed. Had our own little stairway to our room so we felt like we had our own floor. Wicked cool place!Food & drinks: Absolutely delicious! The bruschetta knocked my socks off. Fun fact - the rigatoni recipe is so deliciously perfect it hasn’t been changed in over 30 years!

Loved this hotel! So much character and in a fantastic neighborhood. It was quiet, clean, super comfortable, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Will definitely book here again when staying in Philly. The ONLY negative was the guy working in the adjacent paid parking lot- weirdly aggressive and super rude, I was uncomfortable leaving my car there because of him. The hotel doesn’t own the lot or employ this guy and the guy at the front desk mentioned that they all have had negative experiences with him too. Many other lots in the area, I’ll park at one of those next time,

I cannot say enough about what a positive stay I had a Penn'sView. I booked for the location but could not have been happier with the warm welcome I received (along with a number of my colleagues who also booked rooms ) and attention to detail that Antonio provided. I have never met a hotel manager that cared so much. April who oversees the restaurant Panorama (which is amazing!) also went out of her way to make our group have the most memorable stay. This hotel alone is a reason to return to Philadelphia - . Again thank you Antonio, April and the entire staff. You have no idea how special you made us all feel.

Had a great stay here that didn't break the bank. Great location too, pretty much right next to the Frankford line. Jacuzzi tub was so worth the extra price, especially after a long day of walking.Near a bunch of food places and bars, making it easy to stay within a little bubble. Hotel even has a nice restaurant in the lobbyOnly slight negatives, is that the fitness center isnt great, and finding fresh water that wasn't a bathroom sink was difficult

If we could give this place more stars, we would. Bday trip from Baltimore. This hotel was incredible. So beautiful, so charming, so much character. I believe we met the owner who upgraded our room just bc he knew it was a special trip and had a nicer room available (every room is incredible, it was just a 2nd floor move to 5th / top floor) huge balcony. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant but it looked great and I feel like we'll be back.
