Once again came around this area to see what is there to shop for. As soon I walked in, I was taken back to my childhood and memories of things and smells came flooding! The place is well organized, cleaned and many varieties of foods to things needed at home. We walked around and we were greeted by the lady working there. Thinking going back just to sit by the window and have a coffee or some drink there.

I've been going here for years but it appears to be under new management and the changes are not good. They used to have a good (albeit pricey) selection of snacks, cooking staples and produce, now the shelves look much more bare and the front of the store is all vapes and tobacco products. Really disappointed by the changes.

New ownership has transformed this gem.Sandwiches are great. I ordered a grilled chicken avacado panini, it was the beast sandwich I ever had.Store is clean and they have fresh coffee.????

This place seems to have gotten new life and new energy with new management. The quality of food and service has significantly improved. I enjoy their handmade fresh sandwiches and go-to drinks and snacks that are not find in regular stores. good price, good quality, great service ... can't ask for more when you are hungry and in a hurry!

Been a regular, the quality of the food has diminished and has no flavor anymore. Save your money and order food from elsewhere, the last straw for me was seeing 2 roaches crawling around their deli meat case on the floor, as I was waiting for my food. Look to the shelves, don't order food from over the counter, been a patron of this place since October, they were feeding me well. Won't EVER buy food from this place again, pesto sandwich tasted like nothing. Suppppper disappointing when you work and just wanna get a good quick meal.

This is my go-to place. The new management is so kind and accommodating. They are always taking requests for various items and food. My favorite things about Palm Tree is that they have a lot of grocery items that aren't found that close among other daily necessities. This is especially useful if you don't have a car and live in the area . I also find them as a good option for lunch/dinner as their prices are low in comparison and tasty!

It is really good, we can find many things in store and food as well. I ordered sandwiches, those are delicious and everything fresh. I think i find my store to go to eat everyday. I suggested sandwiches and hoagies must try.

Shopped here for 10 years. The new owners are extremely annoying and rude. They actively try to prevent you from shopping and insulted me to my face when I asked them a question. I'm done giving them my money.Edited for more detail: I came in to buy something and the woman at the counter told me no, she would not sell it to me and that she did not want me to buy it. She then took the next customer. Afterwards, when I insisted, she started asking me lots of questions like "why do you want this?" When I didn't answer (I'm under no obligation to answer personal questions from a clerk), she insulted me. When you charge so much for mundane items, there's an expectation there that you won't also be weird and insulting to your customers too.

Useless waste of space. If i had a dollar for every time ive walked down there just to find it closed in the middle of the day... I pray every night they will finally sell this place to someone that knows what they're doing

Not one to complain or look for an issue but I find it weird that when I (as a black woman) enter this establishment and is very polite , I expect the same courtesy back. If I go out of my way to say "hello" and "thank you " I don't want to be met with a blank stare. This specific instance after saying thank you with no response back, the person behind me (a white male) was met with a warm greeting. Not saying it was racism but it was definitely ignorant and unprofessional. Please do better next time!

I’m really sorry but the business model is not working. There is zero reason to shop here. I just got charged $40 for two dozen eggs and a bag of chips. Never shopping here again. I respect my own money too much to ever provide business to this establishment again until they make borderline reasonable prices.

I wrote this review two years ago on Google but forgot to put it here in yelp , I hear that they accept EBT all of a sudden but I wouldn't actually know bc I have not been back : Yesterday, I was told this market takes food stamps lol but they do not (not common for this area to accept ebt, go figure). I figured this out at the counter after all my items were rung up. Anyway, I asked him, the manager, store clerk, the man who was working, to hold my groceries. Well, things went left on my end and by the time I returned around 645pm the store was closed . I am a visitor of Philadelphia, i don't know the operating hours . Today I entered the store and a man yelled at me "NO FOOD STAMPS!" I was confused because we figured this out already. My intelligence insulted and I definitely felt judged. But that's the way of our world. Products are expensive in the store but I liked the feel of the building . Other than that , customer service towards uncommon situations could be considered or at least given second thought before you just blurt out something stupid before you even say hello .

Check all product before leaving store. They will not accept expired or defective product returns even if sold opened or expired drinks
