When we hired this company we saw the reviews and thought this was an amazing deal. It was less than using a moving pod and they load and unload everything for you! I was so happy I found this company, thinking I scored an awesome deal...Until they sold our contract to Executive Moving and Storage and everything was hell!!! We got charged $1700 more upon pick up. They didn’t drop off till the 30TH BUSINESS Day, which was the very last day they could before they would have to start refunding us. Stuff was broken and the customer service with executive moving company and Monarch is a joke!!Save yourself the anxiety, stress and money and don’t hire this company!!!!! Wish I would have just drove a uhaul cross country cause It would have been a thousand times less stressful than dealing with these companies and would have saved myself $7500!!Also the movers stole my diamond rings!! Luckily that’s all that was stolen

Care nothing for their customers and will leave you high and dry without a thought. Don’t trust the reviews saying otherwise. These guys will take your money, damage your stuff, and run.

I did not take a service of this particular company. I requested Quote for move and got follow up calls for few times. From my side few things changed and I said no to the person ( Adam ) for move and he just started yelling at me and used abusive language. Imo either getting business or not is a separate thing then values which this guy clearly doesn't have. I am fortunate that I did not end up placing order with this company.

Kevin Bluzard and Jordan Howard with Monarch are who we dealt with, Kevin claiming to be an honest upright guy who refuses to even return an email now and Jordan who basically said the $1800 up charge on top of the already $8000+ we paid was our issue and not his. We hired monarch thinking they were honest and reputable, they lie . They gave us a bogus quote to get our business, they contracted it out and were not upfront about that, our stuff was said to be delivered to us on the date we gave which was Nov 11th and now we are told it could be 21 business days past that. This company is a scam!! They know they are but run a pretty good sales pitch to get your business.

**UPDATE** Of course they claim they never had me as a customer after having several conversations and emails with them. But am making all this up! We were supposed to get picked up on a Monday. Called on Sunday before the pick up Monday, and they confirmed Monday was still the pick up day. Come Monday mid afternoon, I got a call from MMG they were not coming and there was an issue with the truck. So they won't be able to pick us up till Friday of that week!! I'd be fine if the pick up was Tuesday, Wednesday latest, but not Friday
If your going to use a moving company, dont pay the deposit UNTIL a truck has been assigned to you.
Don't get pressured to pay the deposit because the prices will go up or to reserve space on the truck.
Once you have been assigned an actual moving company (MMG is a broker) research that moving company.

DISCLAIMER: this is a brokerage, not an actual moving company. DO NOT book with them!
Absolutely horrible and dishonest.
My first issue occurred only 4 days after putting down a $100 deposit to ship my car. This all took place during COVID-19, so times were tough. I put down a deposit to ship my car from FL to OH. This was $100. I was not told that the 72 hour cancel window included weekends. I attempted to cancel on Monday because my flight was cancelled because of the pandemic, but was rejected. Obviously all of this was out of my control. One employee kept telling me that the owner would call me to settle this, but I never got a call from the owner. Not one. They showed zero sympathy for the situation and never actually made any progress with this refund.
My second issue occurred during the actual booking of my move. Monarch Moving Group told me they were going to change the moving company to Unique Van Lines. I instantly googled them and they had 1 star reviews and an F on BBB. I sternly told the owner that I did not want to booked with them, but he booked with them anyway. I couldn't back out at this point because I had already paid them $773 for a deposit for the move. This was completely disrespectful and left me stuck.
My third issue occurred after the pickup from FL. Monarch completely disappeared. No where to be found. Zero communication. I was growing frustrated with Unique itself because they kept lying to me about when my stuff was going to be delivered and continued to delay my delivery. I reached out to an employee at Monarch and asked for help in simply communicating with Unique to help with the delivery process. He made an excuse for why drivers weren't driving and then told me he would reach out, but never did.
When I finally got my stuff, most all of my furniture was either broken or damaged and even some of the things were missing.
After over a month of all this nonsense and frustration with both Monarch and the moving company itself, I reached out to Monarch for a refund. First via text: no response. Second via phone call: an immediate attitude from the employee who answered. Third via email to the info address: no form of compensation whatsoever. I will be submitting a complaint on BBB and FMCSA.
Overall, please use this review as a persuasion to not book with this company. Save yourself the heartache and frustration and go with a BBB accredited company with good reviews.

I am a contract engineer in the medical device industry so I tend to move quite often. The first few long distance moves that I made turned out to be nightmares and that most likely was my fault for hiring the companies that offered me the lowest price. I quickly learned that you get what you pay for in a moving company and would suggest to spend the money to use a great company like Monarch when making a long distance move. I have now used Monarch Moving Group twice within the last 18 months and had great experiences both times. I was lucky enough to have Adam Banks as my moving coordinator and he made the process very easy and kept everything simple so I would suggest asking for him but I'm sure the other reps are just as thorough and detailed oriented as he was. Since I had already used Monarch in last April and was a repeat customer I was even given a 10% discount which I think is a great policy to retain business. I will be on my current contract until January unless I get extended but I will be sure to call Monarch for my next move. Thanks Adam and Monarch for making things so simple and easy.

Very disappointed with Monarch. They are not a reliable moving company and lack in communication. Was told by one of their reps, Adam Banks, I would receive a notice for my pickup timeframe a day or two before my scheduled pickup but was never notified by anyone and when I reached out to them the day before my pickup no one answered the phone calls. From a text Adam sent me:Of course I told you to book the flights, you're moving and we booked the house and cars. I understand you are upset but we are trying everything we can. Not only did we put the deposit onto the balance for the carrier but we added $100 as well. We are -$100 on the cars and there still isn't a single carrier willing to go out of the way for the cars even with the extra $350 on it.*They backed out the week before we were to fly out.*We lost the cost of our plane tickets (3) and rental car.*These are the most unprofessional people I have delt with.Text from Adam:Mark put you in touch with the movers and refunded the $250 deposit for the cars. There isn't anything we can do to hep you because you want us to pay for your flights and everything and that is not going to happen. If you need the number for the movers I will give it you but Mark gave it to you already.*Spoke to Mark and he wanted to argue with me. Mark told me during our conversation to go ahead and sue him. Really.....WOW! I was speechless. I have other conversations/texts from Adam and Mark if you feel that you need more clarification if you should go with this company. NO, NO!

This business deserves no stars. Shameless business practices that leave people high and dry during the height of the pandemic. This was my experience of a move that was set for 24 July 2020: - I provided MMG with a deposit and the COI information on 4 July via email. - I contacted MMG via phone on 17 July to follow up on this and ask other questions. - I contacted MMG via phone on 23 July and left messages to follow up - no response. - I contacted Unique Vanlines via phone on 23 July to follow up. Only when I contacted them at 3pm, did they send the COI. My building clearly stated that it required 48 hours for review. The COI that was sent was rejected. - I contacted Unique Vanlines by email on 23 July at ~440pm to follow up on the COI - no response. Given the lack of response and inability for MMG and Unique Vanlines to meet the basic requirement for my move to be approved, on the evening of 23 July, I was tasked with: - Finding another mover - Rearranging my move out date with my landlord - Rearranging my move out date with my building After (luckily) securing another mover, I notified MMG and Unique Vanlines that I was cancelling them. A courtesy that neither business extended to me. Here’s what I learned: - I wish I had known about the BBB when booking a moving company and seen all of the negative reviews. People who have bad experiences, take the time to write down what happened in painstaking detail. Believe them! Check Yelp, the BBB, other reputable review sites, where the reviews are less likely to be gamed. MMG will tell you that the bad reviews are false. That they are put up by their competitors. Adam and Mark will reference laws and quote industry associations at you to confuse and throw you off from digging deeper into MMG’s appalling service. -MMG will be dishonest to secure your business. Here are a couple of examples from my experience: - MMG has its own trucks – nope! - MMG will call you to walk through your inventory – nope! - The only payment method that is accepted is certified check or cash – nope! - MMG will come back to you with answers for any questions you have – nope! - MMG is a broker, meaning that it is a booking service or sale machine for other disreputable businesses (e.g. Unique Vanlines). It won’t meet its responsibilities with regards to this (e.g. calling you to do a walkthrough and confirm your inventory, giving you accurate payment information, getting your COI for moves - basically all of the administration that the mover needs). - MMG will verge on the point of harassing you (e.g. non-stop follow up calls, texts and emails) to close your business. Don’t fill out lead forms on random websites, they have no vested interest in vetting the companies that these leads go to. - MMG takes it out of your control who moves your property. I had purposely avoided Unique Vanlines due to their bad reviews, only to find that this was the moving company MMG had passed my job too. At that point it was too late to change, as I had signed a contract and paid a deposit. This is a true and accurate account of my experience with MMG. What is not mentioned here, is the stress, the tears and the pure despair of the situation… and not just at the end, but the build-up to it at discovering the misinformation and level of dishonesty. An absolutely disgusting way to treat people.

Great service! Where to start? I received a quote from Monarch Moving Group but decided to book with another company because they had a better price. I explained to Adam at Monarch Moving my reasons for going with another company and he was understanding and professional and asked me to give him a call if things do not work out. Well, that's when things took a turn for the worse. The company I booked with stopping answering my calls, texts and emails so I was in a bind. I called Adam at Monarch Moving on a Wednesday afternoon and told him what happened. Adam told me this happens often and was why he asked me to give him a call if things didn't work out. I scheduled my move for Friday (2 days later) and I couldn't have been happier with the crew. The moving company Monarch Moving assigned, Protri State Movers, was awesome. Josh, the foreman, and the other two movers wrapped all of my furniture and packed my TV inside my box for me. Before leaving, Josh told me I could expect my delivery in 5-7 days and I was okay with this considering I was moving 1,200+ miles. Josh called me 4 days later to schedule my delivery. I am so glad I saved Adam's number and put my trust in Monarch Moving. I doubt I will be moving again anytime soon but Monarch will be the company I use for sure. Highly recommend! 5+ stars. Thanks Monarch Moving, you really came through and got me out of a jam!

I’ve moved around the globe multiple times and can say with complete assurance that these are the worst movers on the face of the planet. Unresponsive with any updates of my goods. Unprofessional with name calling and hanging up on phone calls. Untrustworthy, as they found multiple ways to scam us out of more money. Everything was packed in wrong sized boxes, glassware was not wrapped and just thrown into boxes. Nearly all of my furniture and items came damaged and broken. Upon arrival to unload my goods, they literally threw the furniture into the room of my house and left it in a incomplete and utter disaster. The biggest waste of money ever spent, unpaid high schoolers could have moved us better than this joke of a company. Do not bother, stay far away.

Very disappointed with Monarch. They are not a reliable moving company and lack in communication. Was told by one of their reps, Adam Banks, I would receive a notice for my pickup timeframe a day or two before my scheduled pickup but was never notified by anyone and when I reached out to their drivers at Cross Country Movers the day before my pickup no one answered the phone. This led to me cancelling my services with them the day before I was scheduled for my moving pickup.Thankfully, I was still able to get my items moved out from Maryland to North Carolina with another more reliable moving company in a short notice and so everything worked out in the end.

10 out of 10 do not recommend. Dealt with Adam of monarch and everything seemed good to go until the moving company showed up to pick my stuff up. Was guaranteed delivery 5 days after they picked my boxes up. I was moving from nyc to chicago. The day after they picked my stuff up they said they were ready to deliver it in chicago. I could not take delivery being it was the holiday weekend and I can not move into my condo on the weekends. All of which I expressed before signing my contract. Had to end up meeting the movers and transferring it to a UHAUL which cost another $450 and move myself in 4 days later. All said and done I was charged 3x what they quoted me and they would not take responsibility. AVOID MONARCH MOVING GROUP AT ALL COSTS! I would have personally walked all my items from NYC to Chicago if I didn't have to deal with this awful company.

Really terrible company. They give you a completely unrealistic quote (thanks adam) and then double it when the movers come. We even asked if there were hidden fees and Adam said none and now we have paid 2400 when our quote was 1300. Besides the crazy amount of overcharge the communication is equally terrible. We were not told even the day of our move until less than 18 hours before. Both Adam and Michael are incredibly unhelpful and rude. And the dispatcher seems to always be on a lunch break. The movers brought the wrong truck when delivering our items and we havent heard from them since.Im not sure how a company can be so incompetent on all fronts. Not worth the time, pain, trouble or money. I would go with any other company over them.
