He is charming when you first talk to him but then he is unable to calculate and file your taxes. He is either on drugs or has another occupation by which he does not have the time to do your taxes. His ineptitude will force you to file late, get penalties and in the end be forced to hire anothe accountant that can sort out Kevin's mess. PLEASE AVOID THIS INDIVIDUAL!!!

Absolutely terrible service. He agreed to do my taxes months in advance only to completely ghost me right up until the filing deadline. For weeks, he wouldn't return my calls or emails, and I wasn't sure if he was even going to file my returns at all. Literally hours before the deadline, he finally responded and said he submitted my returns. The amount he wound up submitting as owed turned out to be several thousand dollars higher than the amount he had told me that he had calculated originally, and he ignored my requests for an explanation as to why. He then submitted an invoice for services that was $100 more than what he had quoted me originally, again with no explanation as to why. He never sent me a completed copy of my tax returns, and has ignored my numerous requests for them. I still do not have the returns as of this writing. This guy was awful, bordering on criminally negligent. Stay far away.

He is a tremendous asset in terms of his skill and knowledge of taxes! He understands the system and gets the job done by saving you thousands! Thank you for your results Kevin and being very professional in returning my questions even throughout times during the year! I will never go to another accountant. Michael Choe

I don't know what happened. Kevin used to be great - good communication, excellent tax prep, etc. Went to Kevin for my taxes for a few years. However, in 2020 I received an audit on my 2017 tax returns stating that I owed ~$10K which included the initially owed taxes, plus significant fees and interest related to incorrectly filed expenses. Tried to work with Kevin on filing an appeal or figuring out if I should just be paying the principle amount and disputing interest/fees, but communication was incredibly poor. Unfortunately, the IRS does not "forgive" interest even if a CPA prepares your taxes for you, and at the end of the day, Kevin stopped responding to my emails (I basically was ghosted) and I had to go ahead and pay everything except for the fees, which I disputed. An expensive mistake and primarily based on the poor communication in this situation, I am handling my taxes elsewhere now. Kevin was excellent and helpful before this incident.

TLDR: Kevin created endless headaches for me due to errors he made on my state tax returns and incredibly poor communication. I now have to hire someone else to clean up his mess. AVOID. More details: I provided Kevin with organized and accurate information and provided every single signature he requested. Please don't make the same mistake I did in hiring Kevin. I behaved reasonably with this person, and he took my money, messed up my taxes and eventually stopped replying to me at all. Here's the rough play by play: Kevin told me in March that I needed to print and submit my Philadelphia return and send the city a check to pay my city tax, whereas he would electronically file everything else. He then submitted my checking info to the city of Philadelphia online that day without my consent, and I had to scramble to avoid overdraft fees. I asked for receipts re: the electronic filing for the other returns and never got them. I received a notice from NY state in April that there was an obvious error on my return and, instead of a refund, I owed money. When I contacted Kevin about this, I eventually got him on the phone and he said it was a software error, but I should trust him to handle it. Nervous because at this point I did not really trust him, I signed paperwork for him to submit a correction to NY state. He said he would handle it from there and I would still be owed the refund. Again, this all happened in April. Several times in May and early June, I tried to reach Kevin to figure out why the state of California didn't seem to have my tax return in their system. (I lived in NY, CA and PA in 2020--long story!) His replies became incredibly spotty and brief, and sometimes he just didn't reply at all. Then two things happened that blew my mind: NY state wrote to me saying they received my response to their bill...specifically, they received it on June 1. But Kevin told me he submitted the reply to NY's tax bill in late April? If there was an issue with submitting it electronically, he never mentioned it to me. I finally reached someone from the CA tax board. They told me that my return was, in fact, never submitted. They said someone tried to submit it electronically in late March and again in early May (that would be Kevin), but it was never uploaded in their system because it had an obvious error with two lines not adding up. So Kevin knew it wasn't submitted. Why else would he try to use the system a second time after I inquired about the CA return in May? He never answered my follow-up questions about all this. He just stopped replying to me. To be clear, if I had not called the CA tax board myself, I would have NO IDEA that Kevin NEVER FILED MY RETURN. I have reached out to another accountant for assistance in correcting the tax returns Kevin worked on, including the one that was never successfully submitted. In the end, it will have taken me several months of follow-up and payment to a second CPA to fix Kevin's mess. What an epic little nightmare this was. And Kevin has my social security number! I will be freezing my credit because I'm legit worried about this. Look at the reviews for 'Internal Tax Service,' his company. He's been accused of working with scammers based in India. I am guessing many of the positive reviews here were paid.

I always went to HR Block. After a family member passed away I had more things to handle when it came to taxes. Mr. Chou knows what hes doing and always recommends ways to help save you money and/or get more money back. He helped me understand my taxes which is amazing! He is proficient and very skilled. Excellent service!

I have been using Theisen Bookkeeping & Tax Service for years and they have always done a great job and very reasonable priced. I have lived in 3 different states and continue to use them every year.

Kevin is knowledgeable, thorough, and articulate. He takes the time to explain to his customers his thinking and logic, as well as elaborating on tax laws and their implications. He's extremely polite and patient with customers like myself, who ask a lot of questions and lack a deep understanding of tax laws.

I had the same exact experience today, but I caught on when he started typing instructions and info on my screen. The moment the pricing structure for their service was displayed in ancient appearing format and fonts is when I knew it was a scam. He said that my QBO errors was at 42% with catastrophic failure occurring beyond the limit of 45%. I immediately hung up and realized the link I had clicked on for customer support was not Intuit, but had the word Intuit in the link. I then called Intuit and fixed my problem for FREE.

I had exactly the same experience as the first poster. The "Indian branch" of this company is a scam, I am certain. I also thought I was dealing with Intuit until late in the game. I gave them my credit card info for an exorbitant annual fee, then told them to call back in an hour. In the meantime, I called the fraud unit of my Bank and told them I felt the charge was a scam and to cancel it. Although I had not given them my final approval, they have attempted to charge the card.

I can't believe that I had exactly the same experience as posted by the person below. They are very good at convincing that they are legitimate and maybe they are. But the way they present themselves is very misleading and one thinks this is Quickbooks until time for the payment. I cancelled my credit card as well and managed to get the charges reduced, and may still dispute with the bank. I feel they are mis-representing and bordering on fraud.

Kevin was very professional and knowledgeable inhelping us through a multi state tax return. He accommodated us after hours and took the time to explain our rather complicated multi state tax return. I would highly recommend Kevin to anyone seeking a professional experienced tax accountant.

I believe that there is a scamming company that is using this business name and address but running off of a different website. I thought I was calling Quickbooks to get help repairing an issue with my online program but ended up calling scammers in India who told me that I needed to purchase the "Advanced Data Recovery Support" for $599.99 in order for them to fix my Quickbook issues. The spent 3.5 hours talking to me and convincing me I needed this service because I had 38.87% of my company file damaged and my "sync manager" was not working or communicating with the Quickbooks server. Thinking I was talking to Quickbooks, I said "Ok" and was sent to their IT department called "Internal Tax Services". The man I was talking to who was working on my computer gave me the **** **** ****** ******s as their headquarters but said they work from India for the company. He did get my Quickbooks somewhat working but after hanging up I had a weird feeling and started researching. They are using the website: *********************************** which doesn't match the website listed here. My card info was provided to someone in Ohio who within three hours of charging my card was attempting to run ATM inquires on it (I found this out from my bank the next morning). I have since closed my card but the company is still calling me to ask me if I was happy with their service. I can't even believe it! I am posting this review so that the owner of the actual company knows what is going on. If someone was using my company name to run a scam I would definitely want to be told. I tried to send them an email but nobody replied. If indeed this company in Philadelphia is connected with these men in India they are running a big scam operation and claiming to be customer support for companies that they are not connected to and then providing the card information to people who are then trying to take more money.

Kevin has done my taxes for the past 3 years while I was in school, and he was always courteous and professional via email and in person. He never made me feel dumb for not having any idea about which forms were which, and he was very patient. While my taxes are pretty straightforward, I'm sure he has the knowledge to successfully complete more complicated taxes, as well as other business needs. It costs $250 to have them done, but it's worth it to me to save me the frustration.
