On June 22, 2024, at 3 pm, my boyfriend visited the counter to ask for help because his cellphone had no network. However, instead they received unpleasant treatment from the employees who worked there. That is very inappropriate. Please check CCTV to see what happened.

Don't go there... They raise the prices of normal metro services and I asked him why and the boy told me that he is the owner and sets the price he wants…. Opening a new line cost me 100 dollars…. And I wanted to cancel, they also charged me, and I returned because it is the one closest to me, and they charged me another day for 50…. They are two guys who raise the normal prices, don't go there

BEWARE of fraudulent customer service from this 1901 Washington Ave. Philadelphia, Pa. 19146 location. On 1/4/24 I purchased what I was told was a new and discounted (for being a long-time customer of Metro since 2011) phone, that as of today I still have not received a Metro by T-Mobile receipt or verification of my new phone purchase on my account. I was assisted by employee Zee who I was told is also known as Alex and another employee with initials J.A. as the first name is not known at this time. Zee informed me that the phone, case, screen protector, discounts and taxes totaled $250. During my transaction with a gift card ($50 I paid) and then attempted to pay my remaining balance of $199 with my visa card, the machine stopped responding and I was told it had to be switched out. After waiting hours for the card machine to arrive from an employee from another store, I was assured that if I pay cash, I will receive a detailed receipt. After I paid cash, at that time to J.A., as I was informed that Zee had stepped out, I was then told that the receipt would be emailed to me by Metro by T-Mobile the same day. This was supposedly due to the card machine not working. I informed him I needed some proof of a purchase and he wrote out a written receipt which he initialed and dated. Today, 1/5/24, no receipt was emailed from Metro by T-Mobile and while visiting my original Metro by T-Mobile store that used to be corporate store, I was informed of me most likely being a victim of a common fraud some of these private dealer Metro by T-Mobile employees are now doing. This involves Metro employees being able to purchase new phones for very low cost i.e. $75 during a promotional. Some employees then sell their personal phone to customers at regular and/or discounted prices under the guise of it being a Metro by T-Mobile new phone, as in my case. There, I learned the following: -That there was no information in my account about me receiving an upgraded phone. -Another store is unable to provided receipts as Metro by T-Mobile are no longer under one corporate office and instead owned by private dealers. Essentially there is no longer a corporate office to complain to at this time. -Metros always are able to provide paper receipts and a text for any sell purchases in their system (which I've experienced every time before, since 2011), regardless of a card machine being out of use. -My insurance and another feature were removed during my transaction without my permission and then added back on after I received a text notification of a change in my account. This is due to my insurance needing to be removed before information from my old phone can be transferred on the new phone, without it being registered under Metro by T-Mobile sale records. -My old sim card was removed from my old phone and put in my new phone instead of receiving a new sim card with the new phone as I was supposed to receive with any new phone purchase. Today, I returned to the store and informed employee J.A. that I had not received a receipt from Metro as I was told I would from him and I asked for an update. I was told the system was still down and I'd have to wait about 3 days and there was no manager that could assist me. Also, J.A. informed me later and for the first time, that he was the manager. Since becoming a customer in 2011, I have never received this fraudulent behavior which is illegal, absolutely unacceptable, unprofessional and never approved by me. I solely was under the impression that my long-time customer status was eligible for a discounted upgrade. I never would expect an employee to be engaging in illegal activity with me as a customer. This injustice is despicable especially when Metro by T-Mobile services a large number of underserved black and brown, including immigrant, communities. I wrote a 2-page complaint letter and filed it and a police report with the 17th district today. It is being investigated. I've been a loyal Metro customer for at least a decade This place is ran by people who have No morals or value system . They sold me a refurbished phone under the guise of being brand new. (The bait and switch)When I realized the fact that the camera wasn't working within 7 days I attempted to return the phone.The employees had No knowledge about servicing phones and only was interested in taking customers hard earned money.The guy who mentioned he was the owner was rude , beligerent and dismissive. It took approximately three weeks for them to replace the phone despite them using Gaslighting and deflection tactics to frustrate and antagonize paying customers. Also He did not transfer contacts or or any other important information to the new phone. He belted out that " You're treating me like a slave and That he didn't have to transfer anything ". Apparently, I had interrupted his obvious nap with my pesky need to have the pertinent information on the new phone that I paid and patiently waited for replacement .It was obvious he was sleeping in the side room and came out only because he had to while yawning,stretching and face flushed from sleeping. Like a petulant child he went slid down the wall to sit and started playing on his phone refusing to do any service.Lastly, I would not recommend this location to anyone under any circumstances .Spend your money where you're valued, respected and employees /management practicessome integrityy.They only want your money without accountability.
