im sorry that this review is so long, but I am so confused at what happened today and i need to find out if i am upset for a good reason.
I have been calling and visiting metro stores across the Philadelphia area in an effort to switch from cricket and purchase the S 23 at the $99.99 price that's being advertised when you port in your number. This phone has not been available for weeks at any metro store i have visited/called, including this store previously. i have the S20 FE 5g but my charging port burned out and needs to be replaced which will cost at least $100, but I saw that i could get the deal on the s23 for same or less so Ive been holding out for it to be in stock and just charging my phone wirelessly at the rate of 50% charged after 18 hours :( (almost).
Today I thought I would give it a shot since this store is down the street from me. Two ladies were being waited on so i looked at all of the available phones and prices while i waited and they were the same deals being advertised in the store as online, including the s23 (99.99 with port in). I wish i had paid more attention to the issue the women were having but the only thing I knoe is that one of them said to the worker "well where can we actually get discounts on the phones" im not sure what he answered but they left empty handed.
I was already prepared for the disappointment when i asked "you dont have the s23 do you?" and he said "yes we do!" and i was so happy and excited! i explained that i wanted to port my number from cr icket and i asked what is the total after tax and such, and he says after tax $580ish. I said no this it's right here on the sign I pointed to the sign that's in the store right next to me $99.99 with Port in 599.99 original price. ITS EVEN LISTED AS ONE OF THEIR OFFERS ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE!!!!!
Anyway, what he told me is that depending on the carrier you port in from, the prices are all different. He said that the 99.99 is only if you port in from verizon. At this point Im about to cry, but i did come prepared with a backup or 2 because i didnt expect them to have it. i said "A54?" (which is 49.99 when you port) He says "yep $289.99" I point to the sign that says $49.99 and he says "yea again verizon only. They really need to change these signs."
I said "ok so what is the least expensive 5g i can leave with today" He gets all smiley and acts like hes doing me a favor and has a great deal for me and goes "A14 5g $180 after everything "
In my head im thinking "oh you mean THE FREE WITH PORT IN A14? BUT ITS 180 FOR MY RIGHT CAUSE CRICKET?" But i didnt say that, i just thanked him and said i didnt have that much to spend. This dude at that point could have portrayed himself as my angel and pretended he was doing me a favor and giving me the phone at the "special verizon port in price" he could have said he was doing me a favor, dont tell anyone, He could have said anything but HE LET ME LEAVE WITH NOTHING. maybe he thought "if i aint makin money metro ainty makin money" and thats really really messed up. Now im sitting here typing this review on my laptop because my phone has another 27 hours until its charged enough to turn on.
I am editing to add that the response from owner apologizing and telling me to call would be great and I would have changed or removed this review had he given a number that actually works. If you want to scam people you need a better excuse, you are insulting the intelligence of every single one of your customers and giving metro a bad name. I did get my s23 today, shout out to Mara at 1305 chestnut st. Best service ever and the only reason I still decided to go with metro!!

Worst Metro Ive been to. There were about 3 customers in the store and the employee decided he had to run a personal errand. Worst part is that he probably gets away with being so unprofessional and rude. He rushed everyone out and told me he couldn't help me and i needed a new phone. I always had a problem at this location where the employees are lazy and unprofessional. Its the location closest to me but I will never go back there. Then I went to 8th and Snyder location and the employee solved the problem and I didn't need a new phone. Ty so much.

I always give honest and fair reviews even if a hate the place, but this particular metro store shouldn't even be aloud to stay open. The last time I went to buy a phone the employee there, (who still works there) sold me a store version of the phone so that he could keep the money I paid for it. After going back there I took it to the manager of the store who pretended he was mad and was going to fire the employee, turns out the manager is in on this and gives the same store every time this employee does this. The police are at this store at least once or twice a week for similar reasons. I called Metro over this and metro said because they are privately owned and not corporate they can't do anything. So go to this store at your own risk, just look at the rating this store already has and read the other reviews. It's not just me. Just avoid this and go to a different store there are so many other metro store why ask for the headache.

The 1st time bought a ao3s for$140 its now free then bought A23 5g for $270 with case that didnt fit n glass that he never put on i found boost mobil celling same phone for $150 and he told me no glass was on

Spoke to an incredible rep. (Louie?). Very knowledgeable and answered all my questions thoroughly and gave me a better understanding of expectations and pricing as a customer. Far better level of customer service than I ever encountered at boost mobile.

These crumbs continually add other phones on my bill . I went in last month they gave me $90 and said they took the numbers off but this month my bill was charged another $85 . These people are crumbs!

Bought a phone, was told could only pay cash, was told id get a receipt emailed, didn’t get a receipt. Came back because the phone is terrible to exchange or refund the next day. Employee says only manager can refund. Came back when manager supposed to be in the next day and employee says manager left early. So essentially they are committing fraud, and trying to refuse to refund my money.

This store is has excellent customer service. They answered all of my questions and gave me an excellent deal on the phone that I wanted. Plus with the unlimited everything plan, you can't go wrong. Definitely better than Sprint. (They earned that name because everybody SPRINTS away from them eventually) I'd rather pay $30 for unlimited everything than have them thieves charge me $600 just to have an Iphone.

The sales person was fast and knowlegeble. She ported my number from T-Mobile to metropcs in less than 20 minutes. I paid her and left the store. She took care of everything. After 30 mins she called me and told that my new phone was ready to pick up. She didn't try to sell me the most expensive phone but she sold me the one that would fit me the best.

I bought a phone yesterday. It was closing time yet they helped me with everything related to my phone. I love the service too. Look for they, metro by t mobile she is the best!
