Purchased my engagement ring for my fiancé here and I can't say enough about how wonderful of an experience it was. Alicia was incredibly helpful breaking down the ins and outs of each of the "4 Cs" of a diamond and walking me through the whole process. Very responsive and accommodating as well. I will absolutely come back for any of my needs in the future.

We have purchased multiple pieces of jewelry from Max Weiner, including engagement ring and wedding bands, and could not have hoped for a more wonderful experience. Gorgeous options, great skilled work, and above all the most amazing team. Alicia is a literal angel. She’s patient, accommodating and kind. Not to mention extremely knowledgeable and fun. I love working with her! We can’t recommend this team enough. You won’t be disappointed!

I needed to sell some estate jewelry and made an appt here. Process was quick. This isn't how a lot of shop owners make money but I felt that the prices I was quoted were pretty fair, the evaluation was quick and I felt it was an honest shop. Make an appt. though.

Inspired by my late-father’s coin collecting hobby, My son got really into the idea of being a collector himself. He asked me for an 1880’s Morgan Silver Dollar to start his collection for his upcoming 10th birthday. He finds them on online auctions and shows me the listings often. They are 90% silver 10% copper, and can always be sold for at least the current price of their precious metal content and therefore very difficult to get at a price that makes sense right now.I walked into a coin shop Saturday and asked the the gentleman if I could buy one and he said, “good luck, every shop and jeweler buys them and rarely sells them to the public.” Defeated I walked back towards work and decided to stop at “Max Weiner Fine Jewelers” to try my luck. The gentleman there said something similar but in a kinder tone, so I asked him if he could at least tell me if that’s a good coin to start a collection for a 9 year old kid. He said, “that’s my favorite coin and I’ve been collecting for years....Tell you what, just hang tight for a second.” He disappeared into the basement, and returned with an incredible 1888 Philadelphia Morgan Silver Dollar...since it’s for a kid to start a collection, I’ll sell you this one (for way more than a fair price based on what they go for online). I thanked him and offered to pay him more an he replied “no, it’s my pleasure.” You can still find good in the world, even when it’s entirely unexpected! 10/10 would recommend!

My fiance made my engagement ring with Alicia and reported a great experience. I was extremely pleased with my engagement ring and we went back to Max Weiner's for our wedding bands. We met with Alicia twice and picked out beautiful, affordable and quality wedding rings. We were nervous about price and timing but Alicia helped us and made the entire process fun and affordable. I brought in my grandfathers coin collection for an appraisal. It was an emotional thing for me but both Max and Jessica were patient, kind, warm and understanding. I'm so happy that I brought these items here. I would return in a heartbeat, and will of the need arises.

I am so happy my fiancé decided to go with Max! He went shopping with my mom and did extensive research along jewelers row. When my fiancé and my mom met Jessica at Max Weiner's, they knew they had found the right person to help with the engagement ring process. She helped my fiancé design the perfect ring for me. It's so sparkly and I LOVE it! Needless to say, when it was time for wedding bands, I couldn't wait to go back to Max's and meet the wonderful people who helped my fiancé. Working with Jessica to design our wedding bands was an amazing experience. She listened to what we wanted and offered suggestions along the way. I would highly recommend Max Weiners and look forward to working with them again in the future.

I did most of my communication through emails and texts with Alicia because of my schedule and because I currently live far from Philly, and she did everything possible to accommodate me. The engagement ring was completed quickly and is absolutely gorgeous. I was recommended to go here by my best friend and they lived up to my higher expectations. Their costs are very competitive and they also offered to re-size it whenever necessary. Overall, a great experience!!

First time writing review, shopped multiple times. The staff are not only knowledgeable but easy to work with; especially for a difficult buyer like me. I've gotten great deals and wow factor worthy pieces for all of my special events. I have and will continue to recommend this place and these people. Max and Alicia were who I've dealt with and their expertise and eye for style were equal only to their kindness, patience, and easy going nature.

My fiancé went to Max Weiner Jewelers for my engagement ring because they specialize in customization and vintage styles. He wanted to have one of his mother's diamonds in the ring for sentimental reasons and I had a few other customization ideas, along with the fact that I LOVE vintage style jewelry. He worked with Alicia Demore to put together the most stunning engagement ring I've ever seen. I could not love my ring any more than I already do. It totally shocked and amazed me when I first saw, and I still stare at it every day since he put it on my finger six months ago. The detail, design, and the quality of diamonds are far superior than any I've seen. Max Weiner Jewelers gives the best quality of service and care to their customers, as well as their jewelry. I would recommend them to all of my family and friends!

I've been meaning to write this review for quite some time, ever since I went to Max Weiner a year ago to find an engagement ring for my fiancé. I just went back today to find wedding bands for the big day in a few months, and realized I hadn't written anything yet! First things first, don't let the unassuming exterior and off-track location compared to the big jewelry powerhouses on Jeweler's Row throw you off. Inside you'll find some of the most friendly, intelligent and helpful people that I'm sure at least rival anyone else in the area, if not surpass them. Jessica Letton was who I've worked with from the beginning and I encourage any guy looking for a high-quality, reasonably-priced ring to work with her. She worked step by step with me to design and create a custom engagement ring all within a tight timeframe, thanks to the fact that all of their work is done in-house (upstairs, make sure you ask to check it out!). My fiancé was amazed by the ring and I have Jessica and the entire staff at Max Weiner to thank for helping me pull it off. Like I said, this place may not be the first that comes to guys' minds when deciding where to get their engagement rings in Philly, but trust me - it should be!
