My grandson attended from Kindergarten at the 18th Washington Ave location. He had no prior scholastic or social experience with other children. As his grandmother, I began teaching him at home. Upon entering Little Shepherds, his vocabulary, reading & grammar comprehension as well as his foreign linguistic & mathematical skills accelerated far above his years. He's currently an 8th grader at Boys Latin M.S. Thanks to the professionalism and excellent teachings at Shepherds. My grandson has the choice to continue at Boys Latin H.S or attend Central, Masterman or Parkway Theta. I love the teacher to student ratio and the incorporation of ALL religions in their teaching that there is ONE GOD. Owners Mrs. Barbara, her husband & Principal, Mrs Ross are excellent. I'd highly recommend. I connect with Mrs. Ross periodically. She's still interested in learning about her former students and the parents. If there were any negative remarks about them. I'd have to believe there was a severe case of miscommunication. The staff was always current in keeping parents in the know about their children.

WORST Educational program. Little Shepards Christian Academy is not a SCHOOL. It is a day care. BEWARE.UNLICENSEDSED and INEXPERIENCED Teachers.During the first grading period my daughter recieved a very low grade in reading and she is in first grade. I reached out to the teacher Kyla Long( uncertified 1st grade teacher) and principal Mrs Ross about concerns of lack of communication between the teacher and parent...They suggested we communicate thru class dojo about my daughters performance thru the year. Out of 4 marking periods not once were the parents aware of any failing subjects until the grades were in. If my daughter needs a tutor i would have got one for her.My daughters last reading grade from the 4th period was a 39(F).By communicating with Kyla Young I suspected that she was not experinced. Very unprofessional responses. So I seached for Kyla Long teaching creditials and she is not a certified teacher. Kyla Long has the minimal requirments to be a teacher only completing her bachelor's in Child eduaction but no further teaching preperation acquired. Kyla long teaching results show how an uncertified teacher can harm your childs' learning experince. The owner Mrs Barbara is well aware of Kyla Long being unqualified to teach and vouched for Kyla Long to be a good teacher and should wait to see how things go.My daughter failed 1ST grade with the support of two parents. I brought this matter to Mr and Mrs Barber attention before this would end up with my daughter failing 1st grade.........BEWARE OF THIS SCHOOL.Schools like this operate for the money and not good results. Unqualified teachers are cheaper to hire. THIS SCHOOL NEEDS TO LOSE ITS LICENSE TO TEACH.The Owners are criminals to society and justice will be served

The lady that accepts your child in the Morning around at the side door is nasty and rude! She doesn’t speak, she talks nasty to the children ! I don’t know why she is even watching kids. But the manager Ms. Barbara is a sweetheart! She’s the only reason why I continue to send my child.

Heard the director denied child care service because the child was artistic and was sent home on his first day. I wouldn’t want my child attending a center that would discrimination against them at the age of one. We have to set a higher bar for children that really need child care services.

State will be called for denying child care to a young child who is one years old saying they don’t take artistic kids. This is discrimination and the daycare will go down for this. What close minded directors they have that are rises to live they way they do. The poor innocent child get denied child care for being artistic at the age of one. She better be a doctor to diagnose someone child.
